The 5 Best Endocrinologists in Singapore
How We Picked
Years of Training
Medical practitioners train for years to get certified. For this reason, we picked endocrinologists who rendered more than six years of training in their particular subspecialties.
Expertise
Endocrinology is considered a subspecialty of internal medicine that entails treating endocrine-related conditions. Thus, we picked endocrinologists trained and equipped to deal with said conditions.
Communication
Medical consultations can be a very stressful undertaking for some. This is why we selected endocrinologists who are accommodating to their patients and considerate of their treatment preferences.
Credentials
All medical practitioners must earn board certification.
Therefore, we handpicked endocrinologists registered under the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) and accredited by the Specialists Accreditation Board (SAB).

If you’re looking for a clinic that offers comprehensive services to assess your endocrine-related condition, search no further because Arden Endocrinology Specialist Clinic can very well provide these for you!
In fact, you can expect to get clarity as well as the respective treatment or programme for your thyroid problems, diabetes, andrology, or any endocrine problems in general.
Their doctor, Dr. Ben Ng, was awarded a certificate of completion of training (CTT) with dual accreditation in diabetes and endocrinology by the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom.
He has also worked at Changi General Hospital for three years with endocrinology as his subspecialty while also being a clinical tutor and an assistant adjunct professor in research at Duke-NUS and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine respectively.
So as an accredited endocrinology doctor, Dr. Ng can certainly be your go-to for your endocrine-related condition.
Furthermore, booking a consultation with him is pretty standard. You can inquire directly on the clinic’s website, send an email, or reach them through their hotline.
However, this clinic’s consultation slots get filled quickly, which means you really need to book way ahead of your schedule in order to secure a spot.
You should also take note that the clinic is open on weekdays and has a lunch break that extends to 2:00 in the afternoon. And albeit being open on Saturdays, this clinic is only open from morning until lunchtime.

Pros
- Has three consultant endocrinologists
- Offers comprehensive services for thyroid problems, diabetes, osteoporosis and calcium disorders, pituitary and adrenal issues, and gonads
- Facilitates Ultrasound Guided Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) Biopsy
Cons
- More responsive on hotline than email
- No teleconsultation option for check-ups
The Endocrine Clinic is many Singaporean’s trusted clinic for a number of good reasons.
For starters, this clinic houses three consultant endocrinologists whose expertise encompasses nearly all endocrine-related conditions. Said doctors are Dr. Chia Su-Ynn, Dr. Ho Su Chin, and Dr. Alvin Ng.
Together, these doctors offer comprehensive services for thyroid problems, diabetes, osteoporosis and calcium disorders, pituitary and adrenal issues, and even gonads.
With all those bases covered, we can safely say that The Endocrine Clinic is indeed a one-stop clinic for everyone’s endocrine needs.
We also like that besides providing personalized treatment for their patients, they also facilitate Ultrasound Guided Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) Biopsy to help detect any abnormalities in your thyroid.
And since checking your endocrine system requires basic lab tests, you would need to personally go to the clinic. This immediately rules out getting a check-up via teleconsultation.
Fortunately, it’s relatively easy to book a consultation with them. However, to guarantee an immediate response from the clinic, we found it’s best that you contact their hotline given that they’re more responsive there than on their email or website.
We also want to emphasize that The Endocrine Clinic has two locations. Make sure to remember the clinic you booked an appointment for to avoid the mistake that others have made.
This is so you wouldn’t waste your time and cut your consultation time short.

Pros
- Specializes in paediatric endocrinology
- Dr. Lee is a trained paediatrician for paediatric endocrinology at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne
Cons
- Mostly caters to young and adolescent patients
- Rates are expensive
Many Singaporeans seek the services offered at Dr. Warren Lee’s Pediatrics, Growth, and Diabetes Centre, mainly because this clinic provides comprehensive and premier care to paediatric patients.
A trained paediatric endocrinologist at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Dr. Lee’s concentration is, of course, on children and young people with endocrine problems.
His special interest, in particular, is in children and adolescents who have diabetes. But overall, Dr. Lee is well equipped to provide specific treatments for youth who have endocrine-related problems.
We also appreciate that besides offering services for paediatric endocrinology, Dr. Lee can also help assess growth issues and even eating disorders that some children experience.
Now, booking an appointment at Dr. Warren Lee’s centre should be relatively easy since you can reach out to them through WhatsApp, email, and their contact number.
The only downside is that this clinic’s rates are pricier compared to other endocrinology clinics. For this reason, many prefer to seek affordable alternatives instead.

- Dr. Foo completed advanced training in endocrinology
- Conferred as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS)
Cons
- Staff aren’t always accommodating to patients
- Clinic is short-staffed
Specialist Endocrine Clinic offers a broad range of clinical services for various endocrine-related conditions. And their consultant endocrinologist and physician, Dr. Foo Joo Pin, is there to manage and assess said conditions.
Sure, Dr. Foo is the only endocrinologist at the Specialist Endocrine Clinic, but his credentials alone are enough to prove that he’s more than equipped to deal with any kind of endocrine problem.
In fact, Dr. Foo was a director of Changi General Hospital’s Diabetes Centre on top of being granted a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS) for completing his advanced training in endocrinology.
His specific areas of expertise cover diabetes, thyroid disorder, osteoporosis and bone health, obesity and metabolic disorders, parathyroid issues, hypertension, and even pituitary and adrenal disorders.
So if you’re just a first-timer and want your endocrine system or any of the previously mentioned areas checked, don’t hesitate to consult with this clinic. You only have to contact them on their hotline or send them an email.
We’d like you to note however that there are chances that the clinic will respond to you at a later time or date. This may be partially caused by the influx of patients that Dr. Foo assists.
There have also been complaints floating around that the clinic is generally short-staffed and isn’t quick to accommodate patients. In fact, former patients have reported that the clinic is full of queuing patients on some occasions.

Pros
- Dr. Tay has over 15 years of clinical experience
- Offers comprehensive services for various endocrine conditions like diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis and calcium disorders, pituitary and adrenal gland disorders, and overall endocrine problems
Cons
- Available consultation slots are almost always taken
- Consultation duration may go past the allotted duration
If you’re in pursuit of a medical doctor who can deal with your endocrine disorders, Livingstone Endocrine, Diabetes & Thyroid Clinic’s very own senior consultant endocrinologist, Dr. Tay Tunn Lin is worth your consideration.
To start with, Dr. Tay has more than 15 years of clinical experience, most of which she spent managing and assessing endocrine conditions.
And while she specializes in diabetes and thyroid problems, she’s also equipped to deal with osteoporosis and calcium disorders, pituitary and adrenal gland disorders, and overall endocrine problems.
As for booking a consultation with Dr. Tay at the Livingstone Endocrine, Diabetes & Thyroid Clinic, we recommend that you call them directly on their hotline to guarantee a consultation spot.
We’d like to warn you though that since this clinic usually accommodates a lot of patients, you would have to book an appointment for your consultation days or even weeks just to secure a lot.
And once you’ve secured a slot, unfortunately, you may still not be tended to on time. Some consultations can go beyond the allotted duration of consultation, which means there’s a chance you will need to wait a couple more minutes for your turn.
Not only that, but since consultations can extend past the allocated timeframe, you may need to free up additional time just in case.
