Pros

  • Services offered in 9 different branches across Singapore
  • Home service and tele-consultations available

Cons

  • Travel between branches for sub-specialties may be necessary
  • Home service takes days to process before an appointment is set

If you’re looking for trusted pediatricians in Singapore with services covering nine different locations, SBCC Baby & Child Clinic is your go-to.

As a medical chain that caters to women and children, the clinics cover a wide spectrum of conditions, diseases, and general wellness checks. This may include gynecology, immunology, obstetrics, and even vaccinations.

With all that coverage, we honestly think SBCC Baby & Child Clinic is home to some of the best pediatricians in Singapore. The sub-specialties basically cover every stage of life.

Highly trained pediatricians helm each branch. The facilities of each branch are top-notch and match the sub-specialty of its head doctor.

That said, not all sub-specialties are offered in one branch. This means that if you’re seeking to get general pediatric care, it may be best to double-check with the clinic to find out which branch to visit.

If visiting the clinic isn’t an option at the moment, you either book a tele-consult or home service. We’re impressed by these outpatient services since they provide more convenience to parents and their children.

We must note, however, that these extra services are limited to certain conditions. The clinic will assess the symptoms first to see whether the patient requires urgent care or in-person assessment.

The home service by itself is impressive, but it takes at least three days before you can secure a visitation. This may be troublesome to schedule and should be done in advance when possible.

Despite that, SBCC Baby & Child Clinic is an excellent choice for parents and children who want all-around care either in-clinic or from the comfort of their own homes. We love that patients are given options that are convenient to them!

Pros

  • Offers adoption screenings
  • Provides neonatal and pediatric intensive care

Cons

  • Closed twice a week
  • No tele-consult services available

I-Kids Children’s Clinic has what every parent needs and wants—a medical team that treats young patients with compassion and a child-friendly facility.

A full range of screening and treatment plans are available for patients of ages newborns to toddlers.

The head pediatrician and her medical team also provide educational tools for new parents who want to learn more about child care from home.

We’re particularly impressed by the screening and early detection services the clinic offers. The clinic has adoption screenings available for parents who need such specialized services.

Intensive care services are also available for critically ill children. It’s a great touch that we think sets this clinic apart from others on this list.

We must note that while they have the full gamut of services, they’re closed twice a week and don’t offer tele-consult services.

We think these are essential features that parents may need for their sick children. Scheduling should be done in advance in order to address the symptoms before they worsen.

To provide assistance in urgent situations, the clinic can refer specialists who may be on-call on your preferred date of appointment. The extra mile the doctors take is a huge plus for us.

Pros

  • Tele-consult services available
  • Main branch is open daily

Cons

  • Tele-consult services are limited to select branches only
  • Relatively early closing hours and cutoff time

At Thomson Paediatric Centre, parents get specialized care like pediatric cardiology and nutrition. With seven branches across Singapore, you’ll get access to quality health services for your child’s needs.

In case you need to consult a doctor remotely, the clinic offers tele-consult services with comprehensive workups and assessments.

However, this kind of remote service is available in select branches only, so it’s best to contact the clinic to find out which branch and its respective specializations suit your child’s condition.

While we like that the main branch is open daily, the clinic closes relatively early on weekends. This may be concerning, especially if your schedule is only vacant in the afternoon instead of the morning.

Cutoff times are one hour before closing. Thus we suggest booking an appointment in advance to avoid missing out on the clinic’s open slots.

When it comes to the clinic’s services, each branch specializes in intensive care, nutrition, sleep disorders, and neonatology. The specialists cover concerns and offer treatments for children ages newborn to adolescence.

For what they offer, we think that Thomson Paediatric Centre is a great choice for parents who want a bit more flexibility in consultation hours and options.

Pros

  • Emergency hotline available
  • High focus on newborn intensive care

Cons

  • No tele-consult services available

In times when urgent situations call for emergency care, Dr. Mark Loh understands the importance of caring for critically ill children with utmost compassion and understanding. It’s what we think makes him one of the most trusted pediatricians in Singapore.

His clinic, Mark Loh Paediatrics, specializes in caring for and treating newborns in the intensive care unit. His practice covers a full range of emergency cases on the local and international scales.

That said, he also delivers babies and conducts a surveillance program to monitor the baby’s growth and development. Parents get access to well-equipped facilities and admission assistance if needed.

If you’re in need of Dr. Loh’s services after hours, the clinic has an emergency hotline you can contact. We think this is a great feature for parents who require on-the-clock care when needed, especially for newborns.

However, for general consults, tele-consult services are currently unavailable. We highly suggest that you contact the clinic to get more information about their services and how soon you can come to visit Dr. Loh.

From what we’ve seen, we don’t doubt that parents will get quality health services and comprehensive treatment plans. We recommend that you visit Dr. Loh’s clinic, especially for urgent cases.

Pros

  • High focus on child neurology and neuro-disability
  • Trained in performing noninvasive pediatric treatments

Cons

  • No tele-consult services available
  • No emergency hotline

If you’re looking for a highly trained pediatric neurologist, Dr. Janice Wong Tzen Yuen is your go-to doctor. Her private practice specializes in treating children with neuro-disabilities like cerebral palsy.

She’s also highly trained in managing cases involving autism, speech delay, and cerebral palsy. Treatments include therapy and a comprehensive plan to help children get better as they grow older.

Rehabilitation for children may sound intimidating, but Dr. Janice makes sure that parents and their children are treated with utmost compassion with every visit.

All sorts of cases from patients of all backgrounds are welcome. The clinic’s facilities and equipment are top-notch and are always up to date to better treat patients from toddlers to adolescents.

While neuro-disabilities are often treated with therapy, Dr. Janice also performs other treatments to supplement the recovery process. She’s one of a few pediatricians in Singapore who are trained to use Botox therapy for spasticity.

We think it’s important that parents are given options and Dr. Janice may have the right experience you’re looking for. Just make sure to contact the clinic for advanced booking.

This is because tele-consults are currently unavailable. Urgent cases should be directed to the nearest hospital when the need arises.

Nevertheless, Dr. Janice is a top choice for parents who need specialized therapy for their children with special needs.
