Pros

  • An experienced plastic surgeon
  • Offers both closed and open rhinoplasty

Cons

  • Expensive treatment
  • No post-surgery care

For the past years, Dr. Leo Kah Woon has been steadily gaining recognition in the field of plastic surgery, especially when it comes to rhinoplasty in Singapore.

Dr. Leo, as he’s fondly called by his colleagues and patients, earned his medical degree in Singapore and continued his postgraduate studies in Edinburgh. He, later on, joined a fellowship program at the University of Washington in Seattle.

Dr. Leo continues to gain experience in the realm of cosmetic surgery, giving him the necessary knowledge and skills to facilitate complicated facial reconstructive procedures.

He’s also interested in several minimally invasive treatments like filler injections, chemical peels, skin boosters, and cosmeceuticals.

Here’s another fun fact: Dr. Leo served as the secretary for the Singapore Society of Cosmetic Surgeons and the Singapore Association of Plastic Surgeons for the year 2014 to 2015.

While his clinic may not be the most well-adorned clinic out there, we still think that it’s one of those places that can make you feel comfortable because of its hospitable staff. We also salute Dr. Leo for being friendly yet professional at the same time!

We’re just a bit concerned about its pricey treatment plans. From what we’ve discovered, a nose reduction surgery may cost you about $4,000.

With that amount, you might have expected Dr. Leo will help you with post-surgery care, but this isn’t part of his regular practice. You may need to ask him specifically for that if you want to ensure a smooth recovery process.

Pros

  • Specializes in rhinoplasty and other facial aesthetic procedure
  • Offers Korean-style rhinoplasty

Cons

  • Prorated consultation fee
  • Extremely expensive treatment
  • Long waiting time

If you want to achieve that perfect Asian nose, as seen in many South Korean celebrities, Sweng Plastic Aesthetic Constructive Surgery may be just the right place for you.

Dr. Ng Siew Weng, its consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon, provides a Korean-style open rhinoplasty procedure, which helps enhance the tip projection, refine the nasal tip, or correct any nasal bump.

Concurrent procedures may also be performed together with your nose job, including double eyelid surgery, face-lift, fat grafting, and breast augmentation.

If you’re wondering how Dr. Ng has become one of the most popular names in the field of aesthetic medicine, we need to go back a little in time.

After completing various postgraduate diploma programs in dermatology, Dr. Ng finished his training in plastic reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH).

Dr. Ng was awarded the Human Manpower Development Programme Scholarship by the Ministry of Health Singapore, making him the first plastic surgeon from SGH to undergo a 12-month intensive training in South Korea.

Through this fellowship program, Dr. Ng was able to work with the most talented plastic surgeons in the said country, which highly influenced his techniques when conducting rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, and face-lift.

Apart from his impressive resume, Dr. Ng can also boast about his clinic’s beautifully decorated interiors. You may also get to see the breathtaking Singapore skyline from its reception area and balcony.

These impressive points aside, we’re just a little disappointed about the long waiting time, which can be avoided with proper time management. In some instances, patients may have to wait two to three hours for their turn to meet Dr. Ng.

Apart from the poor scheduling system, we also can’t help but feel quite disheartened about its extremely expensive treatment rates and prorated consultation fees. A two-hour meeting with Dr. Ng can cost $400, excluding actual rates for the procedure.

Pros

  • Korean-trained plastic surgery doctor
  • An accredited day surgery center by the Ministry of Health Singapore
  • Offers concierge services

Cons

  • High-cost treatments
  • Doesn’t respond to WhatsApp inquiry

Dr. Shenthilkumar Naidu, also known as Dr. Shens, is a veteran plastic surgeon with over 20 years of experience in the field. In his two-decade-long career, he has facilitated over 6,034 personalized procedures.

Dr. Shens received the Health Manpower Development Programme Scholarship and trained alongside other talented South Korean doctors from Hanyang University Hospital.

While his time abroad has greatly influenced his techniques, Dr. Shens has incorporated locally accepted surgical methods to meet Singapore’s high medical standards.

Thanks to his outstanding research skills, the National Medical Research Council awarded Dr. Shens a grant in 2005. Consequently, he won the Young Investigator’s Award at the prestigious Singapore Malaysia Congress.

For us, what really sets Shens Clinic apart from the others is its concierge services. It allows patients from all around the globe to seek Dr. Shens’ expertise, without worrying about the logistics hassles that come with it.

While the price point for plastic surgery is relatively cheaper at Shens Clinic compared to the other aesthetic centers on this list, we still can’t deny the fact that it’s still quite expensive than your average beauty hub.

Now, if you want to know more about this clinic, calling them through their hotline number may be more efficient than messaging them through WhatsApp. Truth be told, they aren’t really that responsive on the said app.

4. Dr. Dennis Chua – ENT Surgeons Medical Centre

Pros

  • An ENT specialist who is most skillful at improving the breathing and appearance of the nose
  • Offers a holistic treatment approach

Cons

  • High-priced treatment
  • Additional consultation free of at least $180
  • More focused on ear, nose, and throat treatments

Unlike the other clinics featured on this list, ENT Surgeons Medical Centre isn’t necessarily an aesthetic clinic. However, one of its specialists, Dr. Dennis Chua has a sub-specialty in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.

More importantly, Dr. Chua earned his bachelor’s degree from the National University of Singapore and obtained further qualifications in Edinburgh.

Consequently, he attended a prestigious fellowship program at the University of Virginia, together with Professor Stephen Park, president of the American Academy of Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery.

Most recently, Dr. Chua was one of the few delegates to the 2017 International Conference Consensus on Functional and Aesthetic Rhinoplasty, which was held in Paris, France.

While you may think of rhinoplasty as a purely aesthetic treatment, you’re definitely wrong! According to Dr. Chua, a nose job may be performed for two reasons: to improve nasal obstruction and for cosmetic purposes.

Since Dr. Chua is more focused on ear, nose, and throat treatments, you can’t expect to get other aesthetic procedures done at ENT Surgeons Medical Center, unless they’re related to those areas.

You’ll also be quite surprised about the immoderate price points. Dr. Chua charges at least $180 per consultation, in addition to the already expensive treatments.

Pros

  • Works with a team of experienced doctors
  • Personalized treatments

Cons

  • Long waiting time
  • Expensive treatment

SW1 Clinic, one of the biggest aesthetic and plastic surgery clinics in Singapore, is the brainchild of Dr. Low Chai Ling. Prior to opening up this ginormous beauty hub, she single-handedly established The Sloane Clinic in 2003.

To expand her horizons, she permanently stepped away from The Sloane Clinic in 2017 and started setting up her dreamy, 8,000-square-foot aesthetic center. With the help of her colleagues, she was finally able to make a big splash in the industry.

With her impressive credentials, it’s no wonder Dr. Low can achieve such a feat. At a young age, she showed her brilliance by topping the Primary School Leaving Examinations in Singapore.

Dr. Low received a diploma in dermatology from a top-notch institution in Cardiff and completed her preceptorship in aesthetic medicine in Beverly Hills.

To top all of that, Dr. Low has also ventured into writing and published a coffee table book that talks about various issues on beauty and wellness during pregnancy.

With all these outstanding achievements, you’ll know exactly why she has been one of the most sought-after aesthetic doctors among celebrities hailing from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Hong Kong.

Frankly, we think that SW1 Clinic can easily outshine the other clinics on this list, especially when it comes to their state-of-the-art facilities. However, the long waiting time can easily disappoint you, especially if you’re in a rush.

Of course, we’re also a bit overwhelmed by the expensive treatments. While we’re hoping for a more reasonable price point, we can easily tell that this clinic has been heavily marketed to the rich and the famous—hence the over-the-top rates.
