- Custom insoles
Cons
- Relatively high consultation fees
- Available in-house products are limited
Podiatrists in Singapore are growing more popular, and there are dozens of clinics that offer custom solutions to several unique foot and ankle problems. One of them, we noted, is Dr. Foot Podiatry Clinic.
Helmed by Dr. Louis Loy, a registered podiatrist trained by the University of Brighton, the clinic offers solutions to foot and ankle problems most patients may overlook.
For example, Dr. Loy’s practice specializes in correcting walking patterns and finding the underlying causes of pain and discomfort.
His training in sports medicine and orthopedics also makes him a credible consultant for athletes or active patients. It’s an impressive skill that we think is essential, especially for patients with chronic foot and ankle problems.
We know very well how an undiagnosed foot and ankle condition can quickly put an athlete’s career on hold. For regular patients, however, ignoring symptoms and signs is equally destructive to overall well-being.
That said, Dr. Loy and his clinic strongly believe that healthy feet are the solution to better living. If you find it difficult to reach his clinic on foot, Dr. Loy offers online consultations prior to booking an appointment.
While patients are free to consult online from Mondays to Sundays, we noted that consultation fees in person range from $100 to $120.
Depending on the case, you may need several consultations before getting the actual treatment, costing between $80 to $100 per succeeding session.
We understand the importance of careful examinations and proper diagnosis, but the piled charges may seem intimidating.
Rest assured, however, as Dr. Loy’s clinic uses high-end equipment and tech to find the root cause of foot and ankle problems properly. We think the clinic lives up to its promise of giving the best care to its patients for even the simplest of conditions.
That said, Dr. Foot Podiatry Clinic offers in-house products made of special formulas for patients who require aftercare. The only caveat is that the range of products is currently limited to skin and nail treatments.
Overall, Dr. Loy’s experience, facilities, and services convinced us to place Dr. foot Podiatry Clinic at the top of our list.

Pros
- Long list of accepted local and international insurance partners
- Sister branch is based in Malaysia
- Head podiatrist in Singapore has 20 years of experience
- Known to treat both local and international patients
Cons
- Insurance coverage is dependent on the clinic
- Relatively pricey services
It’s safe to assume that the best podiatrists in Singapore are practicing in one of the most covered or featured podiatry clinics in the metro. It’s also safe to say that Family Podiatry Centre is one of them.
The clinic’s founder is Dr. Mark Reyneker, a podiatrist based in Singapore whose practice extends to Southeast Asia and South Africa.
Trained at the University of Johannesburg, Dr. Reyneker is widely known for pioneering Southeast Asia’s CAD/CAM orthotic tech.
His incredible CV makes him one of the most coveted podiatrists in Singapore. Undoubtedly, his expertise in the field is nothing short of excellent.
Joining Dr. Reyneker is Dr. Kardem Kiter, a revered podiatrist trained in South Africa and is a current member of the prestigious Golden Key International Honour Society.
Her expertise, coupled with accreditation from both Singapore and South Africa, makes her medical advice widely sought-after.
That said, getting treated by an esteemed podiatrist has a few setbacks. While consultation fees are pretty standard for a clinic of their size (starting at $150), their services can amount up to $600 to $950.
That’s assuming your condition requires intricate care. We think that for severe cases, it’s always best practice to get the right kind of treatment from trusted doctors.
Follow-up consultations may be needed, which can cost up to $120 per succeeding session. We also noted that while they offer online services, the fee is the same for both remote and in-person consults.
After undergoing a thorough assessment, patients can enjoy state-of-the-art care and specialized services that provide comfort and relief. Rehab or therapy may be advised, and the clinic has suitable facilities to offer them.
The clinic also accepts a long list of local and international insurance coverages. We think this is a great perk for patients who require extensive podiatrist care without burning their wallets.
We were disappointed, however, to find that insurance coverages are based mainly on the clinic’s experience with past partners. This may be a huge setback, especially if a specific service you require can only be covered by half or less.
If you have a new insurance plan that the clinic hasn’t dealt with before, it may not be applicable here.
Still, we think that Family Podiatry Centre is an excellent clinic for patients suffering from all sorts of foot and ankle problems. The high-end pricing, however, is expected from a global podiatry clinic.
3. The Foot Practice

Pros
- Internationally trained doctors
- Offers diabetic podiatry care
- High-tech tools and equipment
Cons
- No online consultation service available
- Pricey services and consultation
Foot and ankle problems go beyond injuries. Most conditions are caused by either birth defects or even severe chronic diseases like diabetes.
The Foot Practice specializes in diagnosing and treating foot and ankle conditions caused by such. Compared to the other clinics on our list, The Foot Practice differs in its approach to medicine and overall foot care.
We think that the clinic’s specialization in pediatric and diabetic foot care is a major highlight. Treating chronic severe conditions is often long and painful, but The Foot Clinic envisions a less invasive and holistic approach to healing.
Dr. Tim Maiden is the clinic’s lead doctor and strongly believes in humanizing medicine in his practice. Athletes and athletes have revered his expertise, especially those suffering from chronic pain and disease.
Dr. Maiden underwent his training at Cardiff Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom.
His practice incorporates the use of the latest tech in medicine and conducts practice in countries like India and Sri Lanka, where diabetes and lymphedema are prevalent.
Besides foot and ankle conditions, Dr. Maiden also treats patients with skin and nail problems such as fungal infections and ingrown nails.
Bunion treatments are also his specialty, with an added edge of 3D gait analysis and assessment during the initial consultation.
That said, such high-end tech used during your first visit can cost you up to $250 alone. We think the clinic’s price range leans toward the expensive side, but the services they offer can justify the costs.
It’s unfortunate that The Foot Practice doesn’t offer online consultation services. If you’re a patient who has trouble getting to places on foot, this may be a little troublesome, especially if you require several follow-ups.
Despite that, the clinic and Dr. Maiden still ensure that you and your feet are well taken care of. Athletes also benefit from a custom workout plan where exercises are tailored to exert the least possible stress and force on your healing lower limbs.
Dr. Maiden also offers custom diabetic insoles that serve to relieve patients from foot ulcers, calluses, or corns caused by diabetes. They’re safe for children, and we think this specialized product deserves praise.
Despite its cons, The Foot Practice is a well-rounded clinic that keeps the best interest of its patients in mind. We highly recommend booking an appointment with them.
4. Physio & Sole Clinic

Pros
- Physiotherapy services are offered
- Multilingual specialists and doctors
Cons
- Booking an appointment should be made two days in advance
- 3% surcharge for credit card transactions
One of the benefits of getting podiatric treatments is injury prevention. Most mild or severe injuries can cause discomfort over time when not treated properly.
They could sometimes worsen even if your feet, ankles, or walking gait appear normal. While podiatrists can help determine underlying causes or stressors, some patients may need extra treatment like physiotherapy to get them back into shape.
Physio & Sole Clinic offers both podiatry and physiotherapy services, so you don’t have to jump from one clinic to another. We think it’s one of their best features.
Dr. Fiona Wu Henyan and Dr. Wesley Chee Wai Siong are the clinic’s directors and chief podiatrist and chief physiotherapist, respectively.
They lead and work alongside a team of licensed and trained specialists who all aim to provide the best care for their patients.
Foreigners who happen to get injured during their stay in Singapore don’t have to worry about language barriers. The doctors and specialists in the clinic are multilingual, so you can easily undergo consultations and treatments.
The clinic’s range of services and specializations is vast. Patients suffering from all sorts of conditions such as sprains, fractures, bunions, and more can get a complete workup and recovery plan.
Podiatry consultations for general or less serious concerns cost around $80 to $120. Consultations that require biomechanics range from $150 to $180.
We think their pricing scheme is reasonable since they also take into consideration the cost of therapy or their other more intricate services. Custom soles can cost you over $500, which we think is still a reasonable price compared to most clinics.
Booking an appointment with them, however, can be tricky. Once you’ve reached out to them, their minimum turnaround is two working days.
While they offer several payment schemes, they charge a 3% surcharge fee for all credit card transactions. Consider this before booking an appointment and see if other payment options will work better for you.
Overall, Physio & Sole Clinic is still widely considered to be a trusted center for injury prevention and recovery. We recommend this clinic for patients who seek more affordable yet effective treatments.
5. The Osteopathy & Podiatry Centre

Pros
- Osteopathy services are offered
- High-quality and high-end custom insoles
Cons
- Added costs for additional tools during consultation
- Clinic is a bit tricky to find
If you’re having trouble walking without pain or discomfort, you may be wearing the wrong pair of shoes. Luckily, The Osteopathy & Podiatry Centre can create the perfect fit for you.
The clinic’s team consists of trained and licensed doctors and specialists who cover conditions and treatments such as sports injuries, pediatric podiatry, heel pain, and orthotics.
While the clinic is known for its custom insoles, its expertise in osteopathy is equally renowned.
Initial consultations cost around $130 for skin and nail conditions and $150 for podiatry assessments. Biomechanics and follow-up appointments range from $100 to $150, depending on the patient’s case.
Knowing that the clinic’s facilities and equipment are state-of-the-art, we think their price range is quite reasonable. Osteopathy consults cost $150 per session, which is also fairly affordable.
However, we weren’t pleased to find that there are added charges for their services, especially for podiatry.
For example, if you’re prescribed a custom insole, you would have to pay for the scanning, tools, and other instruments that may be used during the appointment.
We think a package or promo scheme would work better for patients needing more than one kind of treatment on the same day. As for the price of their orthotics, it could range between $400 to $500.
Overall, the clinic and its services are worth your time and money. We also noticed that the clinic’s location is quite hidden since it sits at the office tower instead of the main shopping center.
We highly recommend coming to your appointment at least 15 minutes earlier since access to the clinic is allowed through the office section of the building. If you’ll arrive late, contact the clinic and inform them of your arrival to avoid any late fees.

Pros
- Have a team of experienced podiatrists who are passionate
- Family-oriented approach to patient care
- Offers a wide range of podiatry services
Cons
- One location only
Straits Podiatry in Buona Vista is a reputable podiatry clinic in Singapore that offers a wide range of services for people suffering from lower limb conditions.
We like that they have a team of experienced podiatrists who are passionate about delivering high-quality care that upholds ethics, value, and integrity.
One of the strengths of Straits Podiatry is their family-oriented approach to patient care. We find this great because they treat every patient as if they were their own family members and provide personalized attention to detail to ensure that their patients receive the best care possible.
Aside from this, we like that Straits Podiatry offers a wide range of podiatry services, including foot and ankle pain treatment, biomechanical assessments, diabetic foot care, and sports injury rehabilitation.
Similar with others, they also use non-invasive techniques to heal and prevent the recurrence of problems, which makes the treatments less painful and less invasive than traditional methods.
One potential downside of Straits Podiatry is that they only have one location in Buona Vista, which may be inconvenient for patients who live far from the area
