Best Perfume Store began in 2022 as a passion project by Josh, a former primary school teacher with a deep love for blending fragrance oils. Before launching his own line of premium scents, Josh spent years perfecting his craft.
Today, the store offers over 20 signature fragrances and nearly 200 luxury fragrance dupes that capture the essence of high-end perfumes at a fraction of the cost.

- If you’re unsure about what scent to get, you can take the store’s online quiz to figure out what kind of notes and bases you like. The quiz will also introduce you to the basics of fragrance mixing, which may be helpful when you want to explore other perfume options.
- Note that while the store offers same-day delivery, they require a 2-hour lead time. You can track your online orders through the website’s tracking portal, too!

If you’re looking for a scent that truly captures the essence of Singapore, Singapore Memories’ orchid-inspired perfumes are perfect. They specialise in native orchid fragrances, skincare, and essential oils that feel like a little piece of the island’s beauty.
It’s become one of my favourite places to pick up meaningful souvenirs for friends abroad. Personally, I love Singapore Girl, Aranda 1965, and Peranakan Oud. Each scent feels like a reminder of Singapore’s rich culture and history.
Tips:
- I highly recommend checking out this orchid database on the website for detailed descriptions of the orchids they use for their perfumes. You can choose which orchid profile you prefer and get a recommendation from the staff when you visit the store!
- Make sure to ask the staff to check the bottles before purchasing them. There have been complaints about opened bottles and spills, so don’t skip the product check before leaving.

Tips:
- If you are an ION Rewards member, don’t forget to scan your rewards card before making the payment. Some cashiers at Sephora forget to ask for your rewards card, so make sure to tell them you want to accumulate points. Points can no longer be added to your account once payment has been made.
- Ask for free samples of other perfumes you like in the store after making a purchase. The staff members will hand you over a few if available!

Aurel SG offers a good range of niche perfumes that you won’t easily find in many perfume retailers in the city. What I like the most about this store, however, is they have a diverse array of scents that range from floral to woody.
Their website is also easy to navigate. If you need to narrow down your options to your most preferred base notes, you can play around with the multiple filters on the website.
Tips:
- Note that in order for you to shop at the store, an appointment should be booked at least two days in advance.
- If you don’t want to go through the process of shopping in person, you can order perfumes online. Delivery will take up to 4 days, however.

This store is also the best place to buy premium fragrance oils. They’re pricey, but you can build your own signature scent from scratch here too.
If mixing is not your thing, you can also purchase premixed perfumes. Note that the scents here are known to be very strong, so consider your next purchase here to be more of a “special occasion” type of fragrance.
Tips:
- If you have spare time, I highly recommend you try out their fragrance mixing workshops and demos. It’s one of the best ways to discover their unique line of oils and get accustomed to stronger scents like oud and patchouli. Sessions start at $250 per class.
