Perched atop the National Gallery Singapore, Smoke & Mirrors Singapore is an upscale rooftop bar boasting a chic ambience. Renowned for its panoramic views that stretch towards Marina Bay, Smoke and Mirrors stands as an ideal spot for romantic dates.

As a fixture in Asia’s 50 Best Bars, head bartender Jorge Conde, known for signature drinks like the Green Gimlet and Pass the Pineapple, guarantees your top-notch experience.

The Green Gimlet is a zesty mix of gin, homemade lime bitters, kaffir, and ginger. For a spicy and fruity alternative, Pass the Pineapple delights with cava, aperitif wine, and fermented spiced pineapple tepache.

Pro Tip:
Reservations at Smoke and Mirrors open around two weeks in advance. If you don’t reserve a table within this time frame, you might have to wait for another two to three weeks before a table is free.

Aside from the panoramic views of the Quays and the city, the rooftop bar boasts an impressive wine list of over 800 bottles from the best wine regions in Italy and around the world. 

A trendy but crowd-favourite wine is the Vie di Romans Dessimis Pinot Grigio Friuli Isonzo (kind of a mouthful, but super worth it!). It’s a white wine known for its hints of peach, berries, and citrus fruit.

Pro Tip:
The Terrace Lounge is only meant for drinks and bar bites, despite being part of the Altro Zafferano restaurant. 

You can’t order the main courses while seated in the rooftop bar, and you’ll have to set a separate reservation if you plan on visiting both places.

Levant Bar

56-storeys shouldn’t be too daunting for some Happy Hour, right? If you’re up for the challenge, you should quench your thirst (and maybe fear of heights) with some of the bar’s $16 tropical cocktails. 

A few crowd-pleasers are the Tom Collins, a gin-based and lemon soda drink, Old Fashioned, a blend of whiskey and bitters, and Aperol Spritz, which is a bubbly and sweet drink.

Happy Hour at Atico Lounge starts at 4:00 pm and ends at 8:00 pm daily. During these hours, cocktails only cost $16, wines and spirits at $15 per glass, and beer buckets of five at just $60. 

Mr Stork at Andaz Singapore

The ambience and tastefully designed bar are probably what Mr Stork is most known for, especially for couples looking for a romantic date spot. You can enjoy a cocktail or glasses of wine inside your own private tent. 

That also comes with a panoramic view of the city just next to you. Star cocktails include the herbal and minty Ruby or the bubbly and berry-infused vodka and wine-based Rhubarb. 

Pro Tip:
The tent seating area on the balcony is limited, so making a reservation for them at least a week in advance is highly recommended. There are other tables available on the balcony, though!

Care for more Quayside nights out? Head on over to Southbridge for speciality cocktails, refreshing beers, and lots of oysters. Even better, Southbridge has other promos other than their Happy Hour, giving more value for money! 

The 1-for-1 Gin and Tonic promo happens every Sunday to Thursday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. You can get two of their Botanist Gin, Peddlers Rare Eastern Gin, and Hendrick’s Flora Adora for the price of one! 

Additionally, their Happy Hour promo also extends to their oyster platters. You can enjoy a couple of drinks with plates of fresh oysters until 8:00 pm every Monday to Thursday, and all day every Sunday.

Pro Tip:
Unfortunately, you can’t combine two promos per table. Additionally, only guests above the age of 21 are allowed inside the Southbridge bar!

Think of it as a long and massive terrace rather than a rooftop, complete with outdoor benches, large umbrellas, and subtle candlelights. It’s also a solid spot for chill drinks with friends if you’re looking for someplace quieter than nightclubs. 

Signature cocktails are Lantern’s Slings, which are modern twists to the iconic Singapore Sling. There’s the Fullerton Sling, made with Lime Garden Gin and rose syrup, and the Sydney Sling, which has Australian gin and blood orange juice. 

Pro Tip:
Reserving a table here requires an authorisation hold on your credit card. That said, it’s actually best to avoid paying with your debit card to ensure that you won’t be charged the full amount of your deposit when you confirm your reservation. 

Ce La Vi Skybar and Club Lounge

It’s a swanky rooftop bar that offers a more glamorous night to remember for those who don’t mind paying a premium for the experience. Cocktails start between $25 to $35, depending on the type. 

Classic cocktails like Bourbon Sour, Mai Tai, and Singapore Slings never disappoint, but Ce La Vi’s signature Green Envy (12-year Macallan Double, pandan, and coconut) and A Trip To Japan (Japanese whisky, yuzu and rose) are worth every penny! 

Pro Tip:
You’ll need to pay a $30 fee to enter the Skybar, but the amount is fully consumable. You can use the $30 to get a cocktail or small bar bites! 

Spago Bar and Lounge

Next to Ce La Vi is Spago Bar and Lounge, a sought-after brunch spot for those seeking hearty meals with a view. It is owned by the globally renowned chef Wolfgang Puck, whose Beverly Hills Spago branch became a celebrity hotspot.

Enjoy a wide range of cocktails, wines, and beers from morning until night, in a cosy private cabana or a small cocktail table by the edge. You can get cocktails by the carafe, which serves four, for a little over $100. 

The selection is expansive, ranging from classic Mojitos to signature mixes like Peace on Earth (rum punch) or London Calling (gin and orange blossom). If a carafe is too much, there are punch bowls good for two people available on select cocktails! 

Pro Tip:
If you’re coming with a group of more than six people, you’ll need to submit a request via this page. Seating for large groups is very limited, so it’s best to make a reservation ahead of your planned visit date. 

Artemis Grill and Sky Bar

Take the signature Irosa Rosa!, for example, which uses rose sangria, wheat vodka, cranberry, and grapefruit. For something unique, try the Social Credit, which has Jasmine tea-infused whiskey, fresh lemon juice, and ginger. 

These signature “botanical” cocktails are priced at an average of $22, while other drinks like the Japanese highballs cost around $20. Beers and mocktails run for about $16 a pop! 

Pro Tip:
Artemis Grill and Sky Bar doesn’t operate on weekends, but if you want to book the Skybar for a special occasion on a Saturday or Sunday, you can make a request

Craft beers only cost about $10 per bottle here. You can get harder drinks by the bottle, but if you want to last the night, you can get spirits by the glass for just $11 a pop!

Pro Tip:
Olibier Rooftop Bar usually hosts various events and often invites guests to join in on the activities. The most popular event is Tarot Reading Night, where the staff invites a tarot reader to read the fortunes of guests for $10.
