Viva la VivoCity! 12 Best Things to Do in VivoCity, Singapore’s Ultimate Lifestyle Hub

If there’s one spot in Singapore that nails shopping, dining, and entertainment all in one, it’s VivoCity. From rooftop views to movie nights and endless food choices, this mall has it all—and trust me, you’ll want to experience every bit of it.

It isn’t just the largest; it’s iconic for its unique architecture and prime spot near Sentosa. With art installations, the serene Sky Park, mouthwatering dining spots, and more, here’s how to make the most of it!

How to Get There

Closest MRT: The mall is seamlessly connected to the station, making it super convenient for commuters! Take the North-East Line (NEL) or Circle Line (CCL) to HarbourFront MRT Station (NE1/CC29). From there, follow the signs to Exit E, which leads you directly into VivoCity’s basement level.

Closest bus station: Alight at the HarbourFront Bus Interchange or the bus stop outside VivoCity (Stop ID: 14141). Buses like 10, 30, 65, 80, 93, 97, 100, 131, 143, 145, and 166 stop here, making it easily accessible. From the bus stop, it’s just a short walk to the mall’s main entrance.

By car: VivoCity has basement and rooftop parking options. The main drop-off point is conveniently located at the Level 1 entrance near the atrium. For quick access, consider valet parking at the designated valet stand.

Go shopping

VivoCity is a dream for fashion and beauty lovers. My faves Zara, H&M, and more are all in one place! I always leave with fresh finds, whether it’s new outfits or trendy accessories.

There are also stores like Sephora offering everything from luxury makeup to skincare essentials. I can spend ages swatching lipsticks and testing fragrances (which I do, to be perfectly frank).

If you’re into pampering, don’t miss Lush for handmade bath goodies and wellness shops with relaxing products. There, a little self-care shopping feels (and smells) just as good as using the products.

Pro tips:

  • Fitting rooms have stools for tired legs, and comfy seats are scattered around for your shopping buddy to rest.
  • You can ask the staff for a skin analysis to find the perfect products for your needs.

Dine out

There’s something for every diner’s budget here!

For a special night out, VivoCity’s waterfront restaurants deliver both amazing food and stunning views. Barossa Steak & Grill is my go-to for a perfectly grilled steak, paired with the relaxed vibe of the boardwalk and a dashing conversationalist.

For a relaxed family meal, Har Har Chicken’s crispy prawn paste chicken is always a hit, even with my picky eater niece!

If you’re craving authentic Singaporean food on a budget, the food courts have you covered. At Kopitiam, I always go for the chicken rice. It’s affordable, filling, and full of flavour!

Pro tips

  • Want to enhance your dinner date with live music? Barossa Steak & Grill features live band performances every Thursday to Saturday, starting at 7.30 PM!
  • Grab a seat near the windows at Food Republic for a great view while enjoying your meal.

If you’ve got little ones in tow, the Play Court on Level 2 is a must-visit. My nieces and nephews love splashing around in the water play area while I relax nearby. It’s free fun for the whole family!

The kids loved the giant bouncy mat, too. It’s spacious and uncrowded, and the outdoor setting is a bonus.

Pro tip: There are nursing rooms, a water outlet, and a diaper changing station nearby for added convenience.

VivoCity is a paradise for kids—and kids at heart! I love browsing Toys “R” Us for nostalgic favourites while the little ones marvel at the latest toys and games.

The flagship store has kept the same floor space, but it feels so much more open now. The new layout makes shopping a breeze. It’s so much easier to spot exactly what you need!

Pro tip: Double-check prices at checkout, as the system might not be up-to-date.

Catching a movie at Golden Village VivoCity is always a treat. With spacious seating and crystal-clear screens, it’s my go-to spot for the latest blockbusters.

For a real splurge, I love booking Gold Class. It’s like having a private theatre with plush recliners and gourmet snacks! Plus, the decorations always feel so special. They perfectly match the theme of the latest movie launches.

Pro tip: Enter Golden Village on Level 2, then take the escalator to Level 3 for the snack bar and check-in area.

The Sky Park at VivoCity is free to visit and open daily. I love heading up there for the stunning views of Singapore’s skyline and waterfront. It’s the perfect spot to unwind after a shopping spree.

It’s a popular destination for both locals and tourists, providing a serene escape within the bustling mall environment. I enjoyed being there during the Sanrio-themed ‘Garden of Lights’ for the Mid-Autumn Festival, featuring the beloved character Hello Kitty!

Pro tip: For the latest updates on upcoming themes and events, it’s best to check VivoCity’s official website.

Catch a live event

VivoCity’s live events are always a highlight of my visits. There’s something magical about catching a performance under the open sky at the Sky Park Amphitheatre. I still remember the soothing melodies from the Singapore Chinese Orchestra’s “SCO Goes to VivoCity” concert!

Pro tip: Some events may partner with ticketing services like Fever or Klook. Access these platforms directly to purchase tickets for specific events.

Spot artsy installations and sculpture

One of the sculptures I love going back to is “Flower Tree” by Korean artist Choi Jeong-Hwa. It’s conveniently located near the waterfront promenade.

The sculpture features vibrant, oversized flowers arranged in a spherical design, symbolising nature’s beauty amidst urban life. I feel so calm when looking at it, and it’s just one of the few artworks you can find and appreciate for free at VivoCity.

Pro tip: There are some interesting murals at the Adidas Originals flagship store in Vivocity. Go check them out!

If you’re entering from the main drop-off point or HarbourFront MRT, VivoCity’s central atrium is just a short walk inside. Aside from being a convenient location, it’s spacious and vibrant enough for a pre-meetup with my pals before we spend a day of retail therapy.

The atrium also hosts events like the FairPrice Xtra Beer, Wine, and Spirits Fest, featuring tastings, masterclasses, and exclusive promotions on a wide selection of beverages. I love that it has become an informal community centre of sorts for us!

Pro tip: Enjoy the free Wi-Fi at the atrium (and most everywhere else in VivoCity)!
