Yachtly has one of the largest platforms for yacht rentals on the island, with over 30 different types of yachts available for rent. Most of their smaller yachts start at $500, with options to book packages for themed events. 

For parties, the typical rental duration they offer is 4 hours at sea, with a hands-on crew, water toys, and party decor included. You can bring up to 50 guests to your chosen yacht, so long as you choose one that can safely accommodate everyone! 

Tips: 

  • Note that some yachts get fully booked easily, so I recommend booking one at least a month in advance. There is, however, the option to “Request to Book” wherein if your chosen yacht is taken, you can contact the owner to make schedule adjustments for you. 
  • Yachts can be rented for a minimum of 4 hours.

Yacht Bookings has some of the most affordable yacht rentals I’ve seen in Marina Bay. Some of the fleet is up for rent starting at $288 which includes 3 hours of cruising, free-flow cocktails, an international buffet spread, and live music. 

Other bigger fleets include yacht charters, catamarans, and monohulls, with capacities of over 50 people. For these, they charge well over $6,000, but that comes with 5 cabins, 5 toilets, a Jacuzzi, karaoke systems, and a 4-member crew! 

Tips: 

  • Special add-ons include BBQ and grill service and jet ski rentals which are charged by the hour. These add-ons, however, are subject to availability and only some yachts offer these services. 
  • Due to popular demand during holidays, the company charges a 20% surcharge on holiday bookings.

Royal Albatross

If you’re looking for something grander to host the best yacht party on the island, then a booking at the Royal Albatross is definitely the way to go. Here, you’ll go on board a Singapore Tourism Board award-winning boat and set sail while you enjoy dinner. 

This boat is not like your typical yacht setting, though. It’s a four-mast 22-sail tall ship that looks like it came out of a Pirates of the Caribbean movie. 

The experience is only available for dinner parties, though, with rates starting at $255 per head. That includes a seven-course dinner and live entertainment. 

Tips: 

  • As you can only book dinner parties here, the typical cruising time will last about 2 and a half hours only.
  • The boat is pet-friendly! In fact, there are special meals sponsored by PetCubes made just for your furry ones. Just make sure to indicate in your reservation that you’re bringing a pet.

Seek Sophie

I find the four-hour yacht trip perfect for a fun family day, with activities like kayaking and paddleboarding, and the option to add a barbecue. Prices start at $574 per yacht for up to 10 guests, with bigger fleets starting at $1,050 for over 30 people. 

The booking platform is also easy to navigate and gives you the option to completely customise your rental. I love it! 

Tips: 

  • Make sure to use the website’s filter options to see listings according to your exact preferences. Not all yachts are pet-friendly, so make sure to indicate that you’re looking for a pet-friendly experience when searching! 
  • The pricier party yachts are inclusive of activities, which may range from kayaking to barbecuing, depending on the size of the boat. Make sure to read all the inclusions!

  • Before finalising your booking, you can request to view your chosen yachts before securing a payment. Viewings are only available from Mondays to Fridays, between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm

Infinity Sails doesn’t have a large fleet (only two catamarans, to be exact), but they offer a luxurious getaway that won’t leave your wallet dry. The two yachts are called Argon and Escapade, with the former being smaller and the latter being larger. 

The Argon can accommodate up to 18 guests, while the Escapade can host up to 32, making them ideal for intimate gatherings. 

The best part? BBQ services, sodas, equipment and a city skyline tour are all included in the rental fee! 

Tips: 

  • Don’t forget to bring your own marinated meat to the yacht for the crew members to cook for you free of charge. On each boat, only one captain and one staff will be on board to assist you on this additional service. 
  • Pets are allowed on either Argon or Escapade, so long as they are leashed and comfortably placed inside a carrier when on board.

Tips: 

  • Parties aren’t complete without decor such as balloons, but unfortunately, Sea Friends doesn’t allow balloons on deck.
  • The company usually creates an itinerary made just for you and your occasion, but in case you want to modify something, such changes are subject to the approval of the captain. This is for everyone’s safety, too!

White Sails

Plus, renting from White Sails is both affordable and hassle-free, with rates up for negotiation starting at $899 for 4 hours of cruising and a capacity of 10 people. 

Tips: 

  • In case it gets uncomfortably hot to lounge on the trampoline deck, you can request the crew members to install shade there. 
  • I really recommend trying out the floating mat activity. This is where you sit on a large rectangular floatie and lounge on it while you float at sea. It’s like having a picnic but on the water!

How to Book a Yacht Party in Singapore

Step 1: Come up with a final guest list

It’s important that for every party you’ll be hosting, you need to have a final guest list that indicates how many people are invited to your yacht party. 

Some yacht rental companies can only allow a maximum of 20 to 50 people at a time, so if your guest list goes above that, you’ll need to make some cuts. 

Moreover, knowing exactly how many people, including yourself, are attending the yacht party gives you a better idea of what kind of yacht to rent for the event. The rental companies can also find one best suited for the number of people who can party comfortably in one yacht. 

Step 2: Set a budget

Yacht rentals aren’t known to be cheap, so setting a budget will really help you determine what kind of yacht to get and where to rent it from.
