A Quick Guide to Everton, Singapore, by an Artsy Cafe Hopper (AKA Me!)
Back in my university days, one of my favourite activities was cafe hopping. I loved discovering new spots around the city, always on the lookout for the perfect study nook near campus.
Everton Park quickly became one of my favourite cafe destinations. This housing estate is famous for its hipster eateries and cafes, and the trendy vibe isn’t just for show; the coffee is genuinely good!
If you’re a fellow cafe hopper, I highly recommend using this guide I’ve curated to help you find your next favourite spot in the area!
Where is Everton Park?
Everton Park is a housing estate located in the Bukit Timah District in Central Singapore. It’s located near the Central Business District, just next to Chinatown.
How to Get to Everton Park
By Train: Take the train on the East-West Line towards the Downtown area and alight at Outram Park MRT Station. From there, take Exit G and walk towards Outram Road.

- Workshops run every Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, with occasional sessions running on public holidays.

Unwind and refresh at Kew Organics after a busy day at work or school. This beauty salon provides an array of treatments using exclusively vegan and organic products to promote clear, healthy skin.
A few of their most popular treatments include the Clear Skin Hydra Deluxe Facial and the Ultra Reviv Booster Facial which target loose skin, acne, and hyperpigmentation.
One of the reasons why I recommend them is that they use their own products that contain 100% organic ingredients!
Tips:
- Appointments must be made in advance if you wish to get any beauty treatment. Do note that once you pay for an appointment, treatments can be used within a 3-month time frame, especially if you booked multiple sessions.

Where to Eat and Drink at Everton Park
The Better Half

Address: 1, #01-43
Operating Hours:
Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Pricing: $$
The Better Half is one of the most popular coffee spots at Everton, and after my first visit, I can see why. The cafe’s interior looks and feels so cosy, and the food and drinks they offer are also well-crafted and worth your penny.
They make artisanal cakes and drinks made with gourmet ingredients like chamomile, black sesame, and walnuts. A few popular items include their espresso-based long black, flat white, and cold brew coffee.
For their cake creations, I highly recommend trying out their carrot walnut, banana butterscotch, and Earl Grey lemon cakes. They’re worth the extra calories!
Tips:
- If you can’t decide on what to get, you can order their box of 4 mini cakes. Just note that you won’t be able to choose what flavours they put inside. It’s supposed to be a sampler of their very bestsellers of the day!
- The cafe has limited seating space, so it’s a good idea to drop by early in the day or order your drinks and cakes to go. I also recommend bringing a portable fan in case you feel hot because it was pretty humid there the last time I visited!

Address: #01-63 Block 3
Contact Details: +65 9627 2028
Operating Hours:
Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00 am to 4:30 pm
Pricing: $
Folks and Stories is a favourite among cookie lovers, and I would come all the way here for their chunky and creative cookie creations. If you’re someone who likes exploring new flavours, then this is a cookie shop to keep on your radar.
The cookie shop sells chunky cookies in an array of flavours, ranging from classics like chocolate chip and oatmeal to more unique blends like strawberry cheesecake and miso.
I also love the fact that they only use imported French butter. Who doesn’t love a taste of that?
Tips:
- Although the cookie shop only uses halal-friendly ingredients (no alcohol and pork-based gelatin), they are not halal-certified. Most of their ingredients are supplied by halal-certified vendors, however. If you are unsure about your order, feel free to ask the staff members about their recommendations based on your dietary requirements.
- The cookie shop also regularly drops new flavours for a limited time. Stay tuned to their official Instagram page for updates on any new flavour offerings!

Operating Hours:

Saturday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
Pricing: $$
At this point, you’re probably looking for more things to eat at Everton than just baked treats. But just hear me out about Morimori Yogashi before you skip to the next spot on this list!
This small bakery, founded by Chef Terrian Lim, offers a delicious fusion of Japanese, French, and Southeast Asian flavours, drawing on his decade of experience in top kitchens and a Michelin-starred restaurant.
A few must-try picks include the signature Fujisawa garlic bread, the Mao Shan Wang durian mooncake, the Hokkaido milk and durian bun, and Basque cheesecake. They’re a little pricey, but trust me, they’re worth the cost!
Tips:
- There is limited seating outside the bakery, so prepare to order for takeout in case all seats are taken. When tables are free, though, I highly recommend consuming your orders as soon as you buy them! They’re best eaten fresh!
- I recommend dropping by as soon as the bakery opens at 8:30 am. This is when the baked goods are taken out fresh from the oven and you get first dibs on a good number of them (they sell out pretty quickly in the afternoon!).
Nylon Coffee

Address: 4, #01-40
Contact Details: +65 6220 2330
Operating Hours:
Wednesday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Saturday to Sunday, 9:00 am to 4:30 pm
Pricing: $$
Many long-time residents see Nylon Coffee as one of the original gems of the housing estate. What I love most about this place is its commitment to authenticity. It steers clear of gimmicks and trends, focusing instead on the pure art of coffee-making.
This dedication shows in their approach to sourcing single-origin beans, which come from carefully selected suppliers around the globe. A few of their signature blends are made with beans from Ethiopia and Guatemala!
They avoid masking the coffee’s natural flavours with excessive creamer, sugar, or other add-ins, allowing visitors to truly savour the nuanced notes of each blend. My favourite is the long black!
Tips:
- They don’t offer food options here, so don’t expect to find anything to munch on if you’re hungry.
- Seating is limited inside and outside the cafe, so I highly recommend ordering your coffee for takeout. You can, however, visit as soon as they open to avoid long queues and to get a table!
