Guide to Punggol Coast Mall, Singapore’s Newest Hangout Spot

I confess to counting down to Punggol Coast Mall’s opening like it’s a must-watch Netflix release. It means the area will finally have a one-stop spot for food, errands, and entertainment for kids and adults!

It promises to pack everything, from sushi conveyors to indoor playgrounds, in one sleek, air-conditioned loop. The place is ready to deliver to anyone, and I’m here to spill the beans on what to expect.

Punggol Coast Mall Soft Launch

Nestled at the heart of the Punggol Digital District, Punggol Coast Mall connects directly to Punggol Coast MRT and the SIT campus, making weekend plans or quick meet-ups effortless. The progressive soft launch was in March 2025, with the mall opening its doors in phases.

With over 120 shops, eateries, and lifestyle outlets, plus plenty of amenities, it’s built for every kind of lifestyle. Expect breezy, leafy walkways, open-air plazas, and seamless transport links in a smart, future-ready neighbourhood.

If you’re already at Punggol MRT, you can stay on the train for one more stop to Punggol Coast, just 6 minutes away.

By car or taxi/dropoff: Drive via the Tampines Expressway (TPE) or Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) and plug 90-98 Punggol Way into your GPS.

The dedicated car park, accessed off Punggol Way near SIT campus towers, uses an electronic parking system.

Where to Eat and Drink in Punggol Coast Mall

Burger King, Starbucks, and Other Fast-Food Spots

Food budget-watchers, I can tell you that Punggol Coast Mall won’t make your wallet cry after lunch. Between Astons, Burger King, Yi Fang, and Starbucks, I can rotate meals without breaking the S$12 mark.

I can opt for a chicken chop, a Whopper, a bubble tea with pearls, or any of my weekday cravings. I love that I have the option for budget bites with a bonus of air-conditioning!

Pro-tip: Head to these affordable spots before noon or after 2 PM to dodge the student rush.

Sushi-GO

I’ve had vivid dreams of sushi that zooms to me like it’s in a race to my stomach. Luckily, at Sushi-GO, there’s no need to wave forever for service; I just tap and wait for the train!

Plates from just S$1.80 mean I can stack up a mini sushi tower without feeling guilty. I might go there for the food, but I think a lot of us will stay for the robotic spectacle.

Pro-tip: For the fastest service, sit near the front of the track.

Ha-Jun

My halal Korean cravings finally have a new home at Punggol Coast Mall. Ha-Jun’s hotplate sets and spicy ramyeon are calling my name with steam and sizzle.

For around S$10.90, I can get generous servings with zero regrets since I’m not blowing my food budget in one go. And on a rainy Punggol day, sipping on some bubbling stew will feel extra-special.

Pro-tip: Portion sizes here are great for sharing, so plan group meals accordingly.

Luckin Coffee

I may be at Luckin Coffee for the caffeine, but it’s really the gradient in its brews that reels me in. Its two-toned drinks have managed to make my usual latte feel…underdressed.

There’s matcha on top and yuzu on the bottom, and other creatively colourful combinations here. At S$4 to S$7, there’s a mood boost in every sip, and your coffee break will be Instagram-friendly.

Pro-tip: Use the Luckin app for order-ahead perks and occasional deals.

The Better Scoop

For someone like me who’s fully prepared to make dessert my main course, the promise of The Better Scoop’s waffles and gelato feels like an irresistible sugar trap.

I’m looking forward to having everything from roasted milk gelato to banana sorbet. I won’t mind running work errands at the mall if it means a chance to grab some yummy desserts.

Pro-tip: Grab a gelato after dinner, as the dinner crowds thin out by around 8.30 PM.

Sushi Tei and Other Big-Name Eateries

I’m usually a patient person, but the promise of Din Tai Fung and Paradise Hotpot opening is testing my mettle. I mean, Jollibee isn’t even open yet, and I’m already craving a plate of Chickenjoy and rice!

Thankfully, Sushi Tei has opened, and LeNu has been teasing with a soft launch. I like how this mall is starting to feel like a big-name buffet that’s slowly rolling out course by course.

Pro-tip: Visit on weekdays before 6 PM, when there are shorter queues, fresher places, and more attentive service.

Where to Shop in Punggol Coast Mall

Muji and Daiso

I always plan to walk into Muji for pens, but somehow end up leaving with new lifestyle aspirations. Then it’s off to Daiso, where everything is just a little over S$2, so my basket ends up filling itself.

It’s minimalism versus maximalism, and I fully support both sides. I have a suspicion that Punggol Coast Mall will be the reason I’ll need more shelves at home.

Pro-tip: Check Muji’s back racks; the shop often bundles snacks or apparel on its clearance shelves!

Skechers, Vivian & Sean’s, & Lenskart

You reckon it’s time to retire my pandemic-era flip-flops? My mom seems to think so.

For this (and other retail reasons), Skechers is calling. However, Vivian & Sean’s racks are looking dangerously cute for my wallet, too.

With Lenskart joining the lineup soon, even my glasses will get a glow-up! This mall might be bad news for my closet space, but I think I’m ready.

Pro-tip: Don’t be shy about asking the staff for flash sales, or when the next one is if you missed it.

Harvey Norman

Harvey Norman’s almost at Punggol Coast Mall, so I’m already budgeting for “essentials,” like an air fryer (to test how well it can fry air—just kidding!). I mean, a new opening means a new excuse to upgrade everything, right?

If bundle promos drop, expect me to be first in line pretending I need a second rice cooker. When it comes to small appliances and gadgets, I won’t be in a window-shopping situation, but a full-blown tech mission.

Pro-tip: New outlets often offer free delivery for big-ticket items (ask at the checkout).

Family-Friendly Amenities in Punggol Coast Mall

Rain or shine, the kids in my life can get unleashed at Punggol Coast Mall. A new rainy-day lifesaver comes in the form of Wan to Play’s underwater playground, for one.

But when the sun is out, there are animal and children’s book character-themed slides and statues nearby for free fun. The playful displays add a bit of whimsy to the yet-sheltered plaza, but I can already picture the little ones blowing a gasket there.

Pro-tip: Bring grip socks for the indoor play zone if you don’t want to buy a pair on-site.
