Jurassic World: Rebirth, the newest movie in the Jurassic Park franchise, is set to release soon, and the marketing for it is going all out. That’s why we’re going to have Jurassic World: The Experience at Gardens by the Bay, starting on May 29, 2025.
Personally, I’m super thrilled to hear about this because I grew up on the Jurassic Park films, and though they traumatised me a bit, they did foster my fascination for dinosaurs. So, if I could grab a chance to live out a simulated experience of Jurassic Park, I’d definitely grab it!
If you’re as enthusiastic about dinosaurs as I am, then here’s everything you need to know about this experience.
What to Expect
From: jurassicworldexhibition
As of writing, this exhibition has yet to open officially, so I don’t have any personal experience with it. But I have read about the different exhibitions in other cities, and now, I’m even more excited.
One thing that you and I can expect is the array of dinosaur animatronics that look and move so real that you might forget that they’re extinct.
You can also interact with them! Can you imagine encountering the formidable T Rex and hearing it scream? Or maybe seeing the majestic 8.5-meter-tall Brachiosaurus?
Another area that’s confirmed to be at the experience is a petting zoo. As you can guess from the name, it’s like your typical zoo where you get to play with baby animals—only this time, the “animals” in question are adorable baby dinosaur animatronics!
There’s also the Evolution Walk, which is a unique feature exclusive only to Cloud Forest. During this walk, you can get a glimpse into prehistoric systems with ancient plant species. And by ancient, I mean they predate even the dinosaurs!
You’ll also learn about the different plant species within Cloud Forest itself that have lineages that can be traced back to the time of the dinosaurs. This is the perfect opportunity to educate yourself about ecological history and how these plants continued to thrive even after the disaster that wiped out the dinosaurs.
Last but not least, this experience has a feature I’d like to call Hidden Compys. It’s kind of like hunting for Easter Eggs, but instead of Easter Eggs, you’re looking out for several Compsognathus dinosaurs. These are pretty small and elusive, so you need to pay close attention if you want to spot them all!
How to Get Here
To get to Jurassic World: The Experience, you need to take either the Circle Line or the Downtown Line to the Bayfront MRT Station. Once you exit the station, you just have to walk to Cloud Forest, which is only a few minutes away.
