Cosy and comfy seating areas? Check.
We highly recommend sipping on their delightful Breakfast Cup Cappuccino while you sink into their comfy sofas. Plus, you won’t have to worry too much about noise.
The Book Cafe ensures that guests who need quiet spaces to study have designated areas to do that. Diners will be seated in non-working areas in the cafe!
Pro Tip: Is the music distracting you from your studies? Just let the baristas know and they’ll adjust the volume accordingly!
Craftsmen Coffee

Even if you come in a little later, you don’t have to worry much about the crowd. Craftsmen Coffee is relatively quiet throughout the day, and the seating area is quite spacious.
There are plugs and free Wi-Fi inside, so you can stay connected and charged throughout the whole day.
Since it’s not super noisy on most days, there’s no limit to how long you want to stay in the cafe. Do as much studying as you want, and don’t skip on the cafe’s signature buttermilk waffles and coffee!

The Coffee Academics

The cafe’s seating area is very spacious, and the Wi-Fi connection is strong. There are plugs in almost every corner, so you won’t have to worry much about your battery draining.
The food and drinks don’t disappoint either! The chicken and waffles are a crowd-favourite, and each order already comes with dessert and a drink.
If you come during Happy Hour (between 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm), you can enjoy a pint of beer or a glass of wine while you study!
Just note that because it’s a popular spot for students to hang out, it won’t be the most quiet area to get some studying done. If you’re okay with a little noise, Lowercase is a study spot to visit!
Pro Tip: There’s no time limit here, and you have full use of the Wi-Fi connection so long as you buy a meal. It’s usually crowded during lunch hours, so we highly recommend dropping by before or after noon!Take a break once in a while and play some chill board games. Five Oars Coffee Roasters

Keep in mind that during peak hours, service might be a bit slower due to the high number of customers. However, we believe the quality of their offerings makes it well worth the wait, especially if you’re looking for a great place to study.

Although JustCo is very popular among young professionals and start-up companies, the hotdesks are still a solid spot to get some short-term studying done.

The lighting here is also impressive because you have your own lamp and the desks are situated by large windows for natural lighting to come through. If you’re looking for a study space that remains lit all day, Vertical Space should be on your radar.
Plus, the study space is decorated with lots of plants, so it doesn’t really feel like you’re staying in a cubicle for the whole day. In fact, the large windows and the open-space feel make Vertical Space very airy.
At $25 per day, you get what you’ll need for a full-blown solo study session. We think it’s worth it!
It’s also not so far from nearby MRT stations like Pioneer and bus stops like S’Pore Post and Pioneer Junction.

The Great Room

The Great Room’s Singapore branches in Singapore made hot desking a popular alternative to offices and at-home studying for young professionals and students on the island.
That said, it’s a really popular coworking space, and you’ll need to book a pass in advance to secure a slot.

The Hive Lavender

A day pass at Spaaace Coworking only costs $20––probably the cheapest rate we found on our list. If you’re in dire need of a quiet study space that won’t break the bank, you should keep Spaaace Coworking on your radar.
With the day pass, you get access to unlimited Wi-Fi connection, 24/7 security, printing facilities, and a pantry area to keep your snacks and lunch fresh.
If you need a breather from the office space or need a little change of scenery, there’s an outdoor terrace space where you can fire up your laptop and books until closing.
If you’re a first-timer, you only need to pay $20, but your succeeding visit will cost you $30. It’s not a huge price jump, in our opinion, so if you want to study here more often, it’s not too heavy on the pocket.
Working stations are equipped with power plugs too, so you can gear up with as many study devices as you can!
Pro Tip: Although Spaaace has 24/7 security and access, day pass holders can only access the coworking space until 5:00 pm. If you want to study later in the evening, they have monthly plans that grant you 24/7 access and a dedicated desk!
Genius Central

It aims to brew successful young entrepreneurs and professionals while serving plates of hearty and plant-based brunch platters and coffee, so if you’re studying hard to become a CEO, this place should be on your radar.
For just $18, you can reserve a table, and the credits you receive can be used for both food and drinks. With your booking, you also get four hours of Wi-Fi.
But if you plan to stay a bit longer, you have the option to get $30 worth of credits, which comes with a generous 8 hours of Wi-Fi access!
Pro Tip: If you’re booking a table, note that there’s a minimum spend amount to secure a reservation. If you’re only coming in to dine, tables are limited to two hours of use!
Libraries
Toa Payoh Public Library

The Toa Payoh Public Library is the second-oldest library in Singapore and has three storeys of resources, learning centres, and study tables for guests of all ages.
While you can basically study anywhere in the designated reading areas, you can book a study area for more privacy and comfort. We highly suggest getting a slot in advance!
Plus, the library is wheelchair-accessible, and in case you need any assistance with seating, the staff members can help you with that!
Pro Tip: Need to know if the Toa Payoh Public Library will be crowded? Head on over to the website and check out the Crowd Level indicator on the homepage. It shows live updates of how crowded the library is.
The National Library

There’s no library more iconic in Singapore than the National Library.
Housing over 600,000 items, the public library is a behemoth containing important references for scholars and serves as a really solid spot to get some studying done with other fellow students.
If you’re a Singaporean, you have free membership at the National Library and are entitled to borrow 16 physical books and 16 eBooks for 21 days.
If you already have your study resources with you, you can book a study area across the library’s study lounges.
Each visitor is assigned a seat number once a booking is confirmed. There are printers, photocopiers, and scanners available at almost all levels of the library in case you need physical copies with you.
If your study sessions warrant deeper research, don’t be afraid to ask the librarian about using the resources available at the library.
Pro Tip: In need of a coffee break? There’s a cafe at Level 3 of the National Library in case you need caffeine to wake up and or refuel your brain!
The LLiBrary

Looking for a library that’s open early in the morning and closes late in the night? The LLiBrary may be your best bet. Open from Monday to Saturday, you can get all your studying done until 10:00 pm each day.
The library was launched in collaboration with the Lifelong Learning Institute, a learning hub for adults in Singapore. The library is pretty famous for its self-service technologies, enabling visitors to get the resources they need faster and easier.
Studying here gives you full access to the collections and multimedia stations. The study areas are quiet and equipped with power plugs to keep your devices charged throughout the day.
Although designed for working professionals, the LLiBrary is still a solid spot for students to catch up on their studies. It’s also a short walk away from the PLQ Mall and the Paya Lebar MRT!
Pro Tip: Prefer to work outdoors? There are outdoor seating areas where you can unwind, take a break, or continue reading your notes!
Tampines Regional Library

Tampines Regional Library is a hub for lots of young students. It’s a popular hangout place after school hours, and although some groups head there to unwind after a day of lectures, others make use of the library’s facilities for more studying.
They’re open until 9:00 pm every day, with study areas and multimedia stations ready for booking.
There are reading decks and terraces for students who want a little more privacy and a change of scenery. Tables are stocked with power plugs and ample lighting, creating a conducive space for learning.
Since it’s a relatively smaller library compared to the other entries on this list, there are more study areas for students to hit the books.
Some of them don’t have tables, though, but if you’re open to reading your notes on a bench, just plop down on any of the cushions along the staircase. There are power plugs on each step too!
Pro Tip: Brought a lot of stuff with you? There are reservation lockers available 24/7 at the library. Just strike up a conversation with a librarian, and they’ll show you where you can keep your personal belongings safe from prying hands!

Situated in the middle of one of Singapore’s busiest business districts is libary@Orchard, a design-focused study hub for students and young professionals to get inspired amidst the bustling city life.
The library’s interiors are very aesthetically pleasing and well-equipped with physical and digital resources on design. But even if you’re not a design major, the study areas are still open to you.
You don’t need to book or reserve a study area here. Just head inside and find a comfortable spot to read and study.
There are multi-purpose rooms where you can whip out your laptop and finish that paper or project with your classmates.
There are only two floors in this library, and since it’s inside the Orchardgateway Mall, lockers and book drop times are subject to mall operating hours.
Pro Tip: The seating area on the topmost floor offers fantastic views while you study. We highly suggest heading there straight away before other students fill up the space!
Woodlands Regional Library

If you’re from the northern area of Singapore, consider dropping by the Woodlands Regional Library for a quick study session.
The library is open until relatively late in the night (9:00 pm) and houses comfortable reading and study areas for you to hit the books.
There are multimedia stations, meeting rooms, and a cafe for refreshments. You’ll need to reserve a study seat to ensure you get a spot at the Study Lounge.
There are power plugs and free Wi-Fi across the library’s four storeys, so just take your pick of where you want to study through the booking page.
The cafe mainly serves coffee and tea, but in case you get hungry, there’s a stall just by the entrance that serves food.

The Singapore Changi Airport may be known for its numerous attractions (and flagship airline), but hidden within the facilities across its terminals are quiet study spots where you can hit the books to no end.
Plus, they’re open 24/7, so in case your chosen cafe closes before your paper is done, you can easily find a spot to work and study in the airport.
A couple of spots where you can find comfy seating areas are Jewel Changi, the Changi Airport Recreation Club, and Terminal 3.
Free Wi-Fi is available all throughout the airport, and there are benches and tables along the terminal hallways with power plugs.
In case you need a breather, you can walk around to find coffee shops, restaurants, and even famous garden attractions like the Butterfly Garden.

Our Tampines Hub is a community centre that opens its doors to people of all ages and backgrounds who want a safe space for all sorts of recreational activities.
People usually come here for sports events, meetings, and events, but students are also welcome to study at the centre’s designated study spots.
There’s the Chill Zone on Level 4 of the centre where students can hang out and study for as long as they like. There is a free Wi-Fi connection all over the centre and power plugs within the aforementioned zone to keep all your devices wired and ready for use.
The community centre may be busy on weekends, but if you drop by late and study until the wee hours of the morning, you’ll mostly have the whole Chill Zone to yourself or with your group mates.
Pro Tip: In case you get hungry, there is a hawker centre located on Level 1 of the community centre, featuring over 40 stalls. They work on a tray-return system, so make sure you clean as you go before leaving!
