Thai Supermarket turned 40 with a bang & a Songkran Festival celebration!
Thai Supermarket’s Birthday and Songkran Festival Celebration
Where: Aperia Mall, 12 Kallang Ave
When: April 12 and 13, 2025
Time: 11 am to 8 pm
Last April 12 and 13, 2025, Aperia Mall’s Thai Supermarket celebrated its 40th birthday, and it also celebrated the annual Songkran Festival. Best believe that the weekend was full of delicious—and affordable—delights!
I’ve attended the supermarket’s past Songkran Festival celebrations, but the theme changes every time, so the experience is never the same. For this year, we had a retro-esque theme, with mini-mart photo spots and even classic games!
In terms of food, there were old-school snacks, as well as authentic Thai F&B brands. Oh, and the best part was that these treats were sold for only S$4!
Here were some of the brands featured.

Folks Collective
If you have a sweet tooth like me, then Folks Collective should be up your lane. This Thai-fusion restaurant had delectable treats like ice kachang, lukchup, and of course, the classic mango sticky rice.
I loved their ice kachang. Thinking about the different toppings I could add had me drooling!
The Crispy Crepes
The Crispy Crepes is another shop for dessert lovers. As you can gather from the name, you can get crispy crepes here—to be more specific, 10 mini ones for only S$4!
The crepes were filled with coconut cream and sweet egg yolk floss. The first 100 customers of the day enjoyed the perks of the said deal!
Slurp Noodle Bar
For people who want something more substantial, Slurp Noodle Bar is the place to be. Pad Thai was the bestseller here, but their pad see ew and pad mama were also notable.
The portion size was slightly smaller than their usual, but I didn’t think it was too much of a problem, considering the low price. Plus, if it’s delicious, how can I complain?
Talad Thai Banana
Talad Thai Banana is a well-known Thai snack store, so when I heard they would set up a booth here, I was thrilled!
For S$4, I got six pieces of their bestselling Thai fried banana, which was just crunchy and sweet perfection. Usually, these fried bananas are sold for S$1 a piece, so getting six for S$4 is a steal!
Only the first 100 customers of the day were also the ones who enjoyed this deal.
