How We Picked
We wrote our review by comparing the services of accounting firms we and clients we’ve interviewed hired in the previous years.
We based each company’s performance rating during the financial year-end (FYE) on the following criteria:
Range of services
We picked companies offering multiple services beyond accounting tasks, so businesses hiring them can benefit from the one-stop-shop convenience.
Reputation
We selected firms with a minimum experience of five years. We also looked into their credentials (e.g. accounting licenses, awards, acknowledgments).
Value for money
We narrowed down our list to companies that charge reasonable rates for their services. We gave additional points to firms with transparent pricing!
Customer service
Our list included firms with helpful and responsive customer desks.

Working with Acc Pro was an overall pleasant experience thanks to their modern accounting solutions, according to a happy business client we’ve interviewed.
The owner said that before Acc Pro, his company processed bookkeeping and payroll manually. The service helped them migrate to the cloud without a hitch.
The owner didn’t outsource the service’s Human Resources Management System, though. He said Acc Pro’s customized training and payroll support were enough to prepare his team for the new system.
He claimed that Acc Pro was also able to understand his company’s needs completely, making for tailored fit assistance.
That said, he thought the packages should be more flexible for fledgling businesses. He said that some small companies may do away with a few of the services included in the bundle.
He also observed that Acc Pro’s solutions require major adjustments on the client’s side, especially if the business was used to manual operations.
Acclimation to the technology will take some time, so he thought that businesses like his will do better if they hire a techy staff.

Ackenting Group or AG Singapore’s primary charm lies in its long list of corporate accounting services. We had first-hand experience of the company’s efficiency, too, when we hired it the previous year.
We think the best thing about hiring AG is that its service isn’t contractual. We were able to add and deduct accounting requirements as we deemed fit, subject to the pro’s recommendations.
This flexibility also meant we got to pay for the exact service we needed and were not tied down by bundles or packages.
As for the service itself, we couldn’t ask for more, as AG ensured efficient and fuss-free execution of each accounting task.
Though, we must admit that AG’s pricing leans on the expensive side. That said, we were convinced that their service was worth the money.
Moreover, though we didn’t experience it ourselves, know that a few of AG’s clients reported minor complaints about the service’s front desk, particularly in responding to queries.
3. SOAS

Singapore Online Accounting Services or SOAS had a reputation few accounting firms could match. Most of its clients were long-time customers and have been using its service for years.
One of the business clients who agreed to share her experience said that the probable reason for this is SOAS’ consistency.
She has been a client for three years already, and she hasn’t encountered any problems with how the service carries out its tasks.
She also appreciated that SOAS professionals did not simply provide accounting solutions but also shared their insights on running a business. She said she learned a lot from those talks.
That said, SOAS’ packages are not that flexible, which might be an issue for businesses needing partial accounting assistance only.
Our interviewee said that she was fine with the packages, though, as the prices were reasonable.
However, she quipped that the add-ons were quite pricey, so she tried her best not to use additional services.
4. Margin Wheeler

New businesses will benefit the most from Margin Wheeler’s services. Aside from accounting requirements, the company assists in accomplishing work passes, trademark applications, and incorporation.
One of the business owners we’ve talked to said that he found Margin Wheeler convenient, as it was there for his venture from day 1.
What made the process efficient was the company’s high responsiveness and detailed insights on setting up the company.
As for the accounting part, our interviewee said he was satisfied with the company’s performance. He mentioned its bookkeeping service as the most helpful.
That said, he wished Margin Wheeler had more accounting services available so he won’t have to look for another third-party provider.
The rates were also a bit pricey. Still, our interviewee found them reasonable given the service’s efficiency.

VentureHaven caught our eye thanks to its comprehensive accounting plans that come at reasonable annual rates.
A client we interviewed told us that her plan included complimentary financial statements and tax filing services on top of bookkeeping support and digital solutions.
She claimed the comprehensive assistance was worth what she paid for.
She also liked VentureHaven’s corporate secretary service, as it helped her refocus her time on growing her business, knowing that a trustworthy professional was handling necessary government transactions.
But we think not all businesses will prefer VentureHaven’s comprehensive packages. An older company that wishes to outsource only select accounting services might opt for more flexible plans.
And as much as the company was efficient with its services, it could use some improvement in its communication with clients.
We say this, as a few past clients claimed that they had some difficulty reaching VentureHaven’s lines when they need the service.
