Finding a good bike shop in the Lion City is like chasing a tailwind. You don’t always get one, but when you do, everything rides smoother.

As an avid cyclist, I’ve tested tubes, tuned gears, and asked way too many questions so you don’t have to. Among the bicycle shops in Singapore, these are the ones that give proper advice, quality bikes, and no unnecessary upsell.

I dropped by Brompton Junction Singapore at Funan Mall because I’d heard it was the place for folding bikes. The selection is all Bromptons, but every model and colour combo I could think of was right there, including special editions I hadn’t seen elsewhere.

Prices are definitely on the premium side, but that’s Brompton for you. It’s handcrafted in the UK, and not your average mass-market ride, after all.

For those running on weekly allowances like yours truly, don’t fret. The shop sometimes runs promos on refurbished or display units, so it’s worth asking what deals are currently going.

Service-wise, the staff know their stuff and don’t push the most expensive model on customers. They helped me understand which setup would fit my commute best, and even gave me maintenance tips.

The warranty here is quite solid, too—seven years for the frame if you register it, and two years for most of the rest. That said, I did hear feedback from past clients about having problems with warranty claims, especially if the damage is user-related.

Pros

  • Wide range of Brompton models
  • Expert staff
  • Strong warranty coverage

Cons

  • Limited product range
  • Premium pricing

Made our cycling experience in Singapore so much better

During our trip to Singapore with our two Bromptons, my wife and I made a stop at Brompton Junction. I had noticed that the handlebars on my T-Line felt a bit wobbly, so we decided to get it checked out. That’s when we met Alex, the mechanic—what a legend! He greeted us warmly and asked what was going on with the bike. Without wasting time, he popped my T-Line onto the hanger and took a good look at it. With a torque wrench in hand, Alex quickly figured out the issue—some of the bolts on the handlebar clamp were loose and should have been tightened to 7nm. Problem solved! Huge thanks to Alex—you made our cycling experience in Singapore so much better!

    Displayed exceptional knowledge and professionalism

Exceptional Service by Keith at Brompton Junction, Singapore! I recently visited Brompton Junction Singapore with shifting issues on my Brompton P-Line, and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received from Keith, the bike mechanic. From the moment I explained the problem, Keith displayed exceptional knowledge and professionalism.

He carefully examined my bike, pinpointed the root cause of the issue, and clearly explained it in a way that was easy to understand. It was evident that he genuinely cared about ensuring my bike was performing at its best. Keith not only provided a practical and effective solution but also shared valuable tips to prevent similar issues in the future.

Thanks to Keith’s expertise and dedication, my Brompton now shifts flawlessly. It’s rare to find someone so skilled and passionate about their work, and I’m truly grateful for their help. If you’re a Brompton owner, I highly recommend visiting Brompton Junction Singapore and seeking out Keith for any maintenance or repair needs. He’s a true gem!

When I was canvassing for a new hybrid bike, I paid Rodalink on the East Coast a visit, and was surprised at the range. It’s got everything: road bikes, mountain bikes, foldies, even kids’ bikes, all lined up and ready to test.

The prices are pretty reasonable, too, especially for Polygon bikes, which offer good value without skimping on quality. The shop even has 0% instalment plans, which came in handy since I didn’t want to pay anything upfront.

The staff explained the warranty clearly to me and offered a return policy for defects to make me feel more confident about my purchase. I also liked that they do free fine-tuning after you buy, just to make sure your setup is smooth.

The shop has a loyalty program, too, in case you plan to grab gear or accessories later on. Just a heads-up, though; some riders I know have had issues with follow-ups, and warranty claims could get tricky if you’ve modified your bike.

    Pros

    • Good bike type selection
    • Competitive pricing
    • Free tune-ups
    • Loyalty program

    Cons

    • Limited brand variety
    • After-sales service gaps

      Customer Reviews:

The staff were friendly and helpful

The service was really good! The staff were friendly and helpful, as they helped me improve the bikes I had bought and were also upfront and truthful about the scratches. They also taught us how to install the racks and gave us recommendations on the accessories to put on the bikes. I would definitely come again!

The staff worked on my bike without hesitation

I went to my neighbourhood bike service shop to service my MTB gear and shifter. I was told to buy a new shifter instead. The shop owner tried to convince me by showing me mechanically my shifter fault. I went to Rodalink @ Jurong. Told them about my shifter & gear issue (and what the earlier bike service shop comment was). Without any hesitation, staff from Rodalink worked on my bike, and about 1 hr later, I was informed that normal servicing would do. Shifter is fine!

A close biker pal kept raving about Unspokin at Genting Link, so I visited the shop one after-school afternoon. I got the hype, straightaway—its unique lineup features everything from sleek commuters to gravel-ready rigs, plus restored vintage gems like old-school Bramptons and Colnagos.

I found the prices fair for what you’re getting at this shop, especially with its own Frigate series and the option to pay in interest-free instalments. I can tell they’re serious about making quality bikes accessible without cutting corners.

The warranty covers two years for frames and essential parts, which feels solid for a shop of this size. I haven’t had to claim anything yet, but it’s all clearly laid out and not filled with vague clauses.

The service is outstanding, too. Douglas, the guy running it, actually builds and rides bikes, so the advice comes from real experience. He even holds hands-on workshops, which feel more like joining a cycling club than just buying gear!

The downside is that the store opens late on weekdays, which makes my in-between classes timing quite tricky. Also, the warranty doesn’t cover every situation, so if you intend to tinker, make sure to read the fine print first.

      Pros

      • Curated bike selection
      • Personalised service
      • Fair pricing with instalments
      • Fair warranty

      Cons

      • Warranty limitations
      • Opens late on weekdays

The warmth, patience, kindness and openness of the owners made it worth it

I got my son’s kiddie bicycle assembled and my own bicycle (Giant road bike) fixed. Top-notch customer service for a very reasonable price! For me, it’s the warmth, patience, kindness and openness of the owners that made it worth it. Douglas and Jacinta are super nice people! I will definitely come back again! They fix all types of bicycles, sell an assortment of bicycles (including their own branded ones). They’re tucked in a building in Macpherson (pictured here for easy reference). Hope more people get to know this place!

        Service with a smile

Service with a smile…friendly team and very helpful. Very happy with my purchase!

I went with my school pal to Hello, Bicycle near Bugis because he wanted a stylish city ride like a Tokyobike to use around campus. The shop was clean, well-stocked, and full of good-looking bikes from Linus to Lekker; I even spotted a couple of kids’ bikes that don’t look like plastic toys!

Prices lean premium, but the shop often holds decent sales. My friend scored his Linus Altore during a 20% off promo, which he rode out of the shop, grinning like a monkey.

The warranty setup at this store depends on the brand, but it does cover factory defects. Just don’t expect coverage for wear and tear, so you’ll need to be on your toes about regular maintenance.

It’s also got a service centre at Henderson Road for tune-ups and repairs, and the staff know their stuff. We appreciated that they took the time to walk my pal through what to expect after the first few months of riding.

That said, price tags are not budget-friendly, and the warranty won’t save you from poor upkeep or accidental damage. Still, it’s a solid spot if you care about style and smooth city rides (and have a fat piggy bank).

        Pros

        • Stylish urban bike selection
        • Well-organised showroom
        • Seasonal promotions
        • Dedicated service centre

        Cons

        • Premium pricing
        • Warranty limits

          Customer Reviews:

The bikes came back in perfect condition

I sent three Tokyobikes and an old, really banged-up Linus Avanti for the Premium service. On the face of it, costly, but when you consider the bikes hadn’t been serviced for 10 plus years, really not unreasonable. They did a full reassembly, pretty much, and the bikes came back in perfect condition. Really impressed by the work and professionalism of the company. Totally recommend these guys!

Hello Bicycle did it beyond my expectations

Sent my 2nd hand Creme cruiser bike in for full servicing. Jasmond serviced it back into a condition way better than when I first bought it. He was meticulous, and he really knows his work, and I could tell he is really passionate about bikes. He fixed my dynamo tail light that I thought would never light up again. He understands the knick-knacks of internal hub bicycles and repaired areas that I never raised and didn’t think were repairable. I don’t stay near their workshop, so I’ve sent my bike to other neighbourhood shops before, and my problems were never rectified until my bike came to Hello Bicycle. Not every shop can service an internal hub bike, and Hello Bicycle did it beyond my expectations. I’ll definitely send my bike(s) back in the future and will recommend my friends for their services. Kudos and 2 Thumbs up to Jasmond and Hello Bicycle!

When my sister was looking to upgrade to a “serious bike” (her words, not mine), we decided to check out Cannasia. The place is pretty much a dream if you’re into Orbea or Cannondale.

Just a quick note: the shop doesn’t carry everything, but what it has is top-tier. The focus is really on these two brands, so if you’re hoping to test other makes, this isn’t the place.

The bikes are quite pricey, though the store often runs massive promos. We managed to score a 2022 Orbea Avant for my sister, which went for almost half off! It made the splurge feel smarter.

What stood out for us was the after-sales setup, especially if you ride a Cannondale Lefty, since it’s the only shop in Asia certified to service it. It also offers proper bike fitting, which can help my sister avoid the usual neck and back drama.

As for the warranty, the Cannondale frames come with a lifetime warranty, and Orbea gives you two more years (or more, if you register fast). Just don’t expect the shop to cover the usual wear, or if you’ve pushed your bike past its limits.

          Pros

          • High-performance bike selection
          • Promotional discounts
          • Strong warranty coverage
          • Authorised Lefty fork service centre

          Cons

          • Limited brand variety
          • Pricey bikes

            Customer Reviews:

            Amazing customer service

Wonderful experience with the shop, at first quick response and very patient to explain the cost and duration of the service over the phone, then check and explain to my boy when he brought down the bicycle there for repair as well. They provide us with amazing customer service! Thanks a lot!

            Very experienced and knowledgeable

The mechanics, HF & Nigel, are very experienced & knowledgeable. Gave good advice & did all my MTB upgrades, which I’m very satisfied with! Keep up the good work, guys!
