The 5 Best Family Photography Studios in Singapore Capturing Cherished Memories

  • Patient, kid-friendly photographers - I looked for photographers who can handle toddlers, teens, and everyone in between.
  • Flexible packages - Those offering options for indoor, outdoor, and themed shoots made the list.
  • Fast turnaround time - Nobody likes waiting for months for edited photos, right?
  • Transparent pricing - I looked up studios with clear package details and no hidden fees.

We needed new family portraits that didn’t look like we were posing for mug shots, so I started digging around for the best family photography studios in Singapore.

Turns out, there’s a solid mix; some are great with toddlers, while others know how to make surly teens smile (a miracle!).

I’m happy to say that there’s a Lion City studio that fits your vibe and budget, whether you like it artsy, classic, or even beach-y. Here is my review of the ones worth checking out before the kids outgrow their cuteness—or patience.

I booked Our Momento after a friend raved about its casual, natural-style portraits, and I was so happy when it delivered. There were no stiff poses or cheesy backdrops; just a lot of genuine laughs guided lightly by the photographer without making it feel like a formal photoshoot.

The studio offers a few straightforward packages, with mini-sessions starting at S$268, while full sessions with edits and longer shoot times go up to S$468.

We got high-res photos delivered in about 2 to 3 weeks, and I like how upfront it is about inclusions (I dislike last-minute bill shock).

With the help of the friendly photographer, my family chose an outdoor session at the Botanic Gardens, and he was punctual and surprisingly good at getting my shy teenage sister to relax.

As a bonus, the studio also offers maternity and couple shoots, which we can reuse as the family grows!

The main downside is Our Momento’s lack of a full-fledged studio, so if you’re after a formal indoor shoot with props and lighting setups, you’ll need to look elsewhere. Also, weekend slots get snapped up fast, so book early or be prepared to take a weekday off.

Pros

  • Natural, candid photography style
  • Transparent pricing
  • Child-friendly approach
  • Acceptable turnaround time

Cons

  • Not the cheapest
  • No dedicated indoor space for stylised shoots
  • Limited weekend availability

We love how the photos turned out

Jori was a pleasant photographer to work with. His “happy happy” naturally made us smile. We love how the photos turned out as well! Thank you for capturing our ROM moments with family and friends.

He managed to capture a wonderful range of shots that didn’t feel rushed

We had a pleasant experience with Max at Marina Barrage. With stormy weather on the way, we had very limited time for our session, but he remained calm, professional, and incredibly efficient. Despite the time crunch, he managed to capture a wonderful range of shots that didn’t feel rushed at all. The result was a lovely set of natural, joy-filled photos that we’ll treasure for years. Highly recommended!

After seeing her dreamy, light-filled portfolio, my parents decided on Kim Ngo Woodward Photography for their wedding anniversary shoot as the studio matched their vibe. Kim’s calm, friendly presence made them relax, and she gently guided them into natural poses without feeling forced.

Her Family Launch Session is priced at S$795 for up to five people (pets welcome!), and includes over 70 edited high-res photos, a 60-minute shoot, and full printing rights. She also offers maternity, newborn, and graduation sessions with clear deliverables and timelines.

My family appreciated the studio’s wardrobe consultation and prep guide provided beforehand. It helped us feel camera-ready!

Kim’s photography leans toward candid, lifestyle imagery with a soft, airy aesthetic. She captured genuine moments in the shoot, like my nieces giggling mid-hug, that now live on their grandparents’ walls.

The online gallery delivery was smooth, too, with final images that are both timeless and personal.

That said, her rates are on the higher end compared to some other family photography studios in Singapore. Also, while she’s awesome with natural light, those looking for a more formal setup with controlled lighting might need to explore other options.

    Pros

    • Natural, candid style
    • Comprehensive packages
    • Inclusive approach (including pets)
    • Prep guide and consultation

    Cons

    • Pricey
    • Not big on controlled lighting setups

She knew how to capture the light and the best places to photograph

Kim was absolutely wonderful to work with. She did our maternity photo shoot and was amazing with our one-year-old son, as she was able to capture his personality and our family dynamics. She knew how to capture the light and the best places to photograph, especially as we wanted to capture Singapore and the Botanic Gardens, which is a special place to us. I wouldn’t hesitate to have Kim take more photos of our family in the future – the photos are stunning and I will treasure them, as will our family.

      Our photos came out beautifully

We had a great experience with Kim. She immediately put us all at ease and was wonderfully patient with my children and even my dog! She had some great suggestions for the various shots we should take, and our photos came out beautifully. We are so pleased! Thank you, Kim!

I couldn’t help but admire my colleague’s gallery wall at her cosy home; it was filled with candid, happy photographs of her husband and her, along with their adorable toddler.

I was surprised to learn that their little girl was normally camera-shy, but thanks to Tomato Photo Studio, her beaming face lights up the entire living room! Its founder and main photographer apparently has a knack for making everyone feel at ease, so each shoot feels like a fun family session.

The studio’s packages start at S$450 for a standard one-hour session, though my colleague put in around S$1,700 for specific products. She appreciated the flexibility of indoor and outdoor shoots, which gave her a good mix of pictures that suited her family’s vibe.

One of Tomato Photo Studio’s stand-out features is its no-questions-asked refund policy, which gave her peace of mind. And she loved how the studio is designed for families, with no stairs, ample changing rooms, and plenty of parking.

However, it’s worth noting that the pricing is on the higher end, which might not fit every family’s budget.

Also, while the studio’s style is fantastic for candid shots, those specifically looking for themed or highly stylised sessions might need to discuss requirements well in advance.

      Pros

      • Family-friendly studio design
      • Candid photography expertise
      • Flexible indoor and outdoor sessions
      • Satisfaction guarantee

      Cons

      • Premium pricing
      • No readily specialised themes offered

He had an innate ability to connect with his subjects

I have worked with many photographers over the last few years across different continents. I was thoroughly impressed by Hart. He was gentle, kind and had an immediately warming and nurturing effect on my children. They were calm and assured by his presence and listened to his instructions, and laughed along to his jokes, which was a first! He had an innate ability to connect with his subjects (right down to my 10-day-old newborn) and was able to get the best out of my family. The photos were a real treat, a balance between fine art and also capturing the pulse of my family. We will be asking Hart to return as our family slowly matures to capture more magical moments.

Lovely photos to be treasured by both the young and old

My family had multi-generational family photos taken by Hart in March 2025. He obtained a profile of attendees and talked to us before the shoot. Lovely photos to be treasured by both the young and old. Photos are hung in three different households. Sweet memories are made of these. Thanks, Hart and Tomato Photo team.

My older brother recently booked a family session at White Room Studio after seeing its portfolio of beautiful, naturally-lit portraits. The studio is housed in a charming Peranakan shophouse on River Valley Road and offers a variety of backdrops from classic arches to European-inspired halls.

Its Family Studio Portraiture Collection costs around S$490, which includes a 1.5-hour session for up to four people or pets (a hit with them as they have 2 furbabies), a viewing session of curated photographs, one 8”x12” print, three 5”x7” prints, and soft copies of all those prints!

There are also additional services like makeup and hairstyling (S$200 per person), and options for outdoor or home shoots at an extra S$150. They aren’t cheap, but my brother and his family appreciated the transparent pricing and the option to customise a package to their needs.

When I went with them to visit the studio, I was surprised to see conservation-grade framing and archival printing techniques. There were different display options, too, including canvas prints, metal wall displays, and bespoke coffee table books.

Of course, this kind of premium family photography experience comes at premium pricing, and the studio’s popularity means that weekend slots can fill up quickly. Early booking is recommended, according to my brother.

        Pros

        • Comprehensive packages
        • High-quality archival products
        • Additional studio services

        Cons

        • Pricey
        • Limited weekend slot availability

He made us feel at ease and kept our kids happy

The White Room Studio always has a beautiful and cosy setup for family photoshoots, especially during festive seasons. Justin has been the photographer we engaged twice, he captured lovely moments of our family, which grew from 3 to 4 over the past two years. Justin was very professional and patient; he made us feel at ease and kept our kids happy and entertained at both sessions. He has an eye for natural emotions, and we are so grateful for the memories created together at the studio. In addition, Dan was super kind and helpful during our photo viewing appointment. He was attentive to detail and offered useful advice, allowing us to select the most precious moments to bring home.

I can honestly say that the talent level was at another level at White Room Studio

Now I’ve been to several studios here in SG. For family shots of my two children, and corporate shots. I can honestly say that the talent level was at another level at White Room Studio.

The shophouse it was located in was beautiful, but more importantly, Justin, the photographer, Shemin, and the team were super efficient and skilled. Setup, poses, and shots were optimised, and I was in and out in a jiffy. The resulting photos are amazing – somehow, they made me look halfway intelligent and accommodating!

When my older sister had her baby, we immediately booked a family session at Bloom Photography because of its themed setups and infant-friendly approach. We were happy to see that the studio offered a variety of backdrops, including classic and natural living room settings, as well as themed solo baby setups!

Moreover, the photographer made my little niece at ease, and managed to capture genuine smiles and plenty of aww-filled moments on his camera.

We availed the Family and/or Babies (4 to 15 months) Photoshoot at S$429, which included a 1-hour session for up to five people, two setups, and all soft copies with basic editing (averaging 60 to 120 photos) delivered via an online gallery within 2 to 3 weeks.

There were additional services like outdoor shoots and themed setups, including a milk bath theme, which my sister absolutely loved. We’re looking into a cake smash theme when the baby turns a year old, so it’s great that there’s the option to customise.

However, I did notice that the studio space is compact and can get cramped with boisterous toddlers and fur babies in the mix (another bonus: a pet-friendly space and service!).

          Pros

          • Themed, customisable setups
          • Baby-friendly photography
          • Pets welcome

          Cons

          • Not the cheapest
          • Compact studio space could be challenging for bigger groups

A photographer who loves children and knows how to engage them

We have done a few family photoshoots so far, and I can tell you that it really takes a photographer who loves children and knows how to engage them to make a successful shoot! Bloom Photography stood out for me for the design of the studio (lots of toys for kids to play with for them to become comfortable with the new surroundings and even a make up area), and a warm, friendly photographer whom I believe is called Hayadi who completed the session in just slightly after only half an hour!

The studio environment was very comfy

Had a great experience with Bloom! Baby arrived sleepy and grumpy, but Suwen was patient towards him the whole time! Bloom tried so hard to engage my little baby and knew not to over-stress/upset my baby too much. The studio environment was very comfy, and the showering facility was great! Everything was provided to ensure the baby was comfy, even during the shoot.
