Ahimsa Sanctuary’s Tex-Mex burrito hit the spot with its hearty, flavourful, and fully plant-based goodness. Even my meat-loving bestie declared her “M Spicy” sandwich tasted better than the fast food version.
We washed it all down with a matcha lemonade and green smoothie; both were refreshing without being overly sweet. The space is chill, too, with a breezy outdoor area full of plants and fans.
Pro-tip: Grab an outdoor seat for an al fresco break from the air-conditioned indoors.
Carrotsticks and Cravings

Carrotsticks and Cravings nails the balance between pretty and nourishing. I got the breakfast platter during my first visit, and it was fresh, filling, and photogenic in equal measure.
The eggplant hummus and smoked salmon combo is a solid 10/10 for me. As a bonus, the breezy Aussie vibes of the cafe, plus the colourful plates, make it a brunch go-to.
Pro-tip: The place caters to all diets: gluten-free, vegan, paleo, etc., so the menu doesn’t feel or taste compromised.

I tried The Kind Bowl for my first vegan Vietnamese meal and left full and impressed. I had The Kind Pho, a summer roll, and a tropical salad, which were all flavour-packed and satisfying.
The portions are generous; my pal and I shared everything and still felt stuffed! There are warm vibes all around, and the chamomile tea we ordered completed the feel-good ambience.
Pro-tip: Go early for lunch, as popular bowls like The Kind Pho sell out fast.

Those times that I want to eat clean but not feel deprived taste-wise, I go to The Living Cafe. Its raw tacos and keto pizza are surprisingly satisfying, and the smoothies are always refreshing and filling.
It’s one of those few spots where I can get keto, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options that still taste indulgent. The chill, no-fuss vibe makes it an ideal place for a slow, mindful meal.
Pro-tip: Don’t skip the raw desserts (blueberry cheesecake is a fave); they’re guilt-free but taste like a real treat!

The Lawn Cafe lets me build my own salad, and the portions are legit. Mine always comes stocked with pesto chicken and roasted veggies. It’s clean eating without the sad lettuce vibes!
I like that I can go heavy on the protein or keep it light, depending on my mood. It’s fast, fresh, and perfect for the Biopolis lunch crowd.
Pro-tip: Want the tastiest high-protein combo on the menu? Go for the herb-marinated prawns and add grilled veggies!

The Ritual Cafe & Bakery has gotten that “eat clean, feel good” combo down pat, minus the preachiness. It’s where I had a beetroot gravlax bagel that’s super fresh, subtly earthy, and surprisingly filling.
The cafe keeps things wholesome with Himalayan salt and zero processed stuff, which I can really taste. The calm, herbal vibe makes it easy to linger post-meal without feeling rushed.
Pro-tip: Have a turmeric latte with the gravlax bagel for a serene anti-inflammatory boost.

I’m nuts about the Clean Carrot Cake at The Whole Kitchen; it’s moist, spiced just right, and doesn’t feel like a cheat. This cafe offers a light but still satisfying menu, including wraps and balanced bowls.
It’s also a great place for stocking up on healthy snacks. I always leave with a pack of Energy Balls. It helps that the space has a cosy and chill vibe that’s ideal for solo lunches or a quick mid-day break.
Pro-tip: Pair your lunch with an almond milk smoothie. It can also double as a filling and clean dessert.

VeganBurg surprised me in a good way with mock meat that delivers on the taste and texture (no dull papery stuff here). I got the avocado beetroot burger, which was gloriously messy, hearty, and worth every bite.
The seaweed fries are addictive and pair well with anything on the menu, as well. I reckon it’s a solid pick even if you’re not vegan, with its fast, filling, and solid menu.
Pro-tip: Visit on weekdays for shorter queues; weekend lunch hours can get packed.

Yummy Bros makes meal prep feel like a cafe treat. I can customise my bowl with healthier nasi lemak and expect it to still be packed with legit flavour.
The chicken rendang version is also worth a try. It’s rich, satisfying, and didn’t leave me feeling sluggish.
You can get full control over your veggies and carbs, which is great for tracking macros. Ordering is also a breeze (done online), and delivery has always been on time for me.
Pro-tip: Go for half-carbs, double veggies. It keeps the calories low without sacrificing fullness or taste.

My Awesome Cafe lives up to its name with vintage charm, warm service, and a turmeric curry that hits all the right notes. The baguette can help you mop up every bit of that thick, flavourful sauce, too.
With great coffee and interiors featuring fairy lights, soft chairs, and a chill vibe, I’m always hard-pressed to leave this cafe. It’s ideal for lingering over lunch or getting some work done in peace.
Pro-tip: Try to grab a window seat for a cosy, slow afternoon of people watching and eating cleanly.

Lilac Oak is a cosy vegan spot near Fort Canning. We tried the bibimbap with sweet potato, and it tasted clean while being hearty. For dessert, the lemon pistachio loaf was just the right amount of sweet without feeling cloying.
If you come here on a hot day, I suggest the vegan ice cream with a chia waffle cone to add crunch without the guilt. The indoor and outdoor seating both feel chill, even in the summer.
Pro-tip: For a simpler yet satisfying classic meal, try the grilled turmeric-tofu patty with fresh veggies on nine-grain toast.

Good Bites is a comfy, family-friendly spot with generous portions and a solid and inventive halal menu. I was surprised at how much I liked the passion fruit Americano, which was an odd combo that worked.
Here, we can tweak our spice level, which is great if you’re sharing or not into heat. The menu is huge, with healthy options like sweet potato fries and vegetarian pasta, so it’s easy to find something for everyone.
Pro-tip: Want to balance out your meal’s savoury notes? Try the cafe’s raspberry mint or lychee orange iced tea.
