No need to pay a premium to relax with the best hourly rate hotels in Singapore!
I was out celebrating with my colleagues, having a great time, then suddenly—reality check. The last train was long gone, and my flat? Way on the other side of the island.
Taking a Grab home would cost a bomb, so paying extra just to sleep didn’t seem worth it. Instead, I decided to wait for the first train to start running again.
Honestly, best move. I found a nice hourly rate hotel nearby, got a hot shower and a comfy bed, and even managed to catch a few hours of sleep.
Whether you’re stuck after a night out, need a place to rest before an early flight, or just want an affordable spot to recharge for a few hours, I’ve put together a list of the best hourly rate hotels in Singapore you can rely on.
1. Hotel 81

Amenities offered: Air conditioning, free WiFi, a flat-screen TV, private bathrooms, daily housekeeping, 24-hour front desk service, and basic toiletries

Hotel 81 is one of my top picks for a no-frills, budget-friendly stay. It’s great for short visits, and with six locations across the city, finding one isn’t a hassle.
Their rooms are simple but functional. You’ll get the basics: aircon, WiFi, a TV, and a private bathroom. Nothing fancy, but at just $30 for a two-hour stay, it’s actually pretty reasonable.
Beyond the price, I appreciate their flexibility. They offer early check-in and late check-out, which is a lifesaver if your flight timings aren’t ideal.
Plus, their WWH Privileges program gives members 10% off all year, making it even more budget-friendly.
That said, Hotel 81 isn’t for everyone. The walls aren’t great at keeping noise out, so if your neighbours are loud, you might hear more than you’d like.
Great for the price
“Great for the price. They cleaned rooms and changed towels each day. Room has a small refrigerator. There’s a second faucet for drinking water. However, they only give you one keycard.
Note that the room is pretty small, so I need to step into the shower to close the bathroom door. Ac stayed very cold the first night, and you can’t really adjust the temperature.
Area has a lot of Indian-Muslim, Chinese restaurants nearby. Good grocery stores. About 5-10 min walk from mrt stations. It’s in the red light district but it seems pretty safe, at least for a guy.
I went to the nearby grocery store to buy fresh coconuts for $2. Great coconut water. In the morning I went to the Indian restaurants to get breakfast.”

I can recommend this place for a short stay
“I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, the room was functional, the bed comfortable enough, and overall it was very clean. The staff also took reception of an online shopping package which was very helpful to me, and were very nice & friendly also. Location is good, near restaurants, supermarkets and bus stops. I can recommend this place for a short stay”

If you’re looking for an hourly rate hotel that’s smack in the middle of everything, Lyf Funan is a solid pick. It’s inside Funan Mall, so you’ve got food, shopping, and entertainment right at your doorstep.
A 4-hour stay costs $90, which isn’t too bad considering the amenities. You get free WiFi, social lounges, a gym, and shared workspaces if you need to get stuff done or just chill out.
Security is solid too, with CCTV cameras and 24/7 on-site security, so safety isn’t an issue. Furthermore, if you’re a member of Ascott Star Rewards, you can snag some discounts on your stay.
However, it’s not perfect. A couple of people I’ve talked to mentioned that the WiFi here can be unreliable sometimes. Housekeeping is also a bit hit-or-miss, so don’t be surprised if you spot a few dirt patches here and there.
We had the best time staying here!
“Good value hotel! Perfect location inside a shopping centre! We had the best time staying here!! Staff were friendly, and the room service was great! We will be back, thank you!!”

Provided me with a more comprehensive experience in Singapore
“Wise choice for accommodations! For the second time this year, our family has visited Lyf Funan. Compared to other hotels in the same price range, Lyf provided me with a more comprehensive experience in Singapore. Clean and well-equipped, everything is at a prime location in the heart, close to Clarke Quay, Boat Quay, MBS, Singapore Flyer, Garden By The Bay, and more. Without a doubt, we will return on the next trip! Thank you for your support, Lyf team.”

If you’re wondering where I ended up while waiting for the trains to run again, it was Fragrance Hotel. I wasn’t picky; I just needed a spot to crash, and luckily, they’ve got eight locations across Singapore, which made things easy.
They stick to the no-frills, budget-friendly approach, much like the other hotel I mentioned earlier. $30 for two hours gets you a room with air conditioning, a TV, a private shower, and some toiletries.
I went for their Night Owl promo, which lets you stay overnight for $69. One feature I actually liked was their GPHL Digital Key App, which lets you check in and unlock your room via mobile instead of using a key card.
Unfortunately, the room I stayed in was way smaller than I expected, and the soundproofing was pretty bad. I could hear almost everything from the next room, which was awkward.
Definitely the best decision to stay here!
“I am very pleased with the services provided by this hotel. They went above and beyond, making the impossible possible just to accommodate me. The staff were amazing, especially Thivina Afad, who was incredibly helpful and respectful upon the check-in process. The room was clean, bright, and comfortable. Definitely the best decision to stay here!”

ST Signature is a convenient hourly rate hotel with five locations across Singapore. It’s definitely an affordable option for a short stay, charging $62 for five hours. That covers all the essentials you’d expect from a budget hotel, plus a few nice extras.
One standout feature is the Cook Lab, a shared kitchen where you can whip up a quick meal and enjoy fresh Arabica coffee. They also provide lockers, so if you’ve got valuables, you can stash them safely while you sleep.
I also like that ST Signature partners with local businesses to give their guests exclusive discounts. Restaurants like So Pho and Sanchos Taqueria offer 10% off when you stay here.
That said, the rooms are compact, especially if you book one with a queen-sized bed. Some guests have also mentioned cleanliness concerns, so it’s worth keeping that in mind.
Our stay turned out better than anticipated
“I feel compelled to share my recent experience at this hotel, which was Great. They offer an ideal check-in process, the remainder of our stay exceeded expectations. The location is excellent, with easy access to great dining options and tourist attractions. The room, while not without its flaws, provided a comfortable base for our visit. The hotel’s proximity to local amenities was a significant advantage, making it a suitable choice for travelers looking to explore the area. Overall, our stay turned out better than anticipated, and I would consider returning in the future.”

If you’ve got a layover in Singapore or just need a spot to rest before your flight, YOTELAIR is the one I’d recommend. It’s right inside the airport, and the rooms are compact but pretty sleek—kind of like a first-class airline cabin, but on the ground.
A four-hour stay will set you back $100, which gets you a smart adjustable bed, free WiFi, a private rain shower, and even a gym if you feel like squeezing in a quick workout before heading off.
What really makes it interesting, though, is the extra perks. You get free delivery for anything bought at Uniqlo Jewel Changi, plus discounts on Jewel attractions like Canopy Park and Mirror Maze. They also have a membership program that gives you exclusive deals for future stays.
However, it’s not the cheapest option for travellers, and some guests have mentioned the staff could be more welcoming.
A great option for a short, comfortable stay between flights
“YOTELAIR Singapore Changi Airport is a convenient transit hotel located in Jewel Changi, ideal for travelers needing a short rest or an overnight stay. The compact, modern “cabins” are well-designed with smart space utilization, adjustable beds, and high-tech features. Guests appreciate the 24/7 self-check-in, free Wi-Fi, and proximity to airport terminals. However, rooms can feel small for those with lots of luggage, and the pricing may seem high for the space provided. Overall, it’s a great option for a short, comfortable stay between flights.”

Awesome hotel
“We stayed here for 11 hours on our stop over from Phuket to Melbourne. Awesome hotel. Room is just right for stop overs as it’s quiet, has a shower, comfy bed & just a place to rest instead of hanging around in the airport halls trying to find a seat that is uncomfortable to sleep on. Well worth the $$$ to stay as we were quite refreshed for our next leg of travel.”
