By treasure, we mean, Singapore’s vintage items and antiques. There are hundreds of collectable knick-knacks, furniture, homeware, and more to be explored on the island, with items dating back to colonial times!

If you’re on the hunt for something unique and priceless, head over to these top vintage and antique stores. Happy treasure hunting!

Preloved antique and vintage furniture from Gamar Furniture gives off all the nostalgic charm you’ll need for a chic but tasteful new home. Formerly known as Second Charm, this shop has been selling quality and solid wood furniture for over 20 years.

The shop’s collection spans three floors in an industrial building located along Kallang. They have ottomans, sofas, dining tables, chairs, and home decor such as lampshades, picture frames, pantries, and more.

A lot of the pieces you’ll find here can cost as low as $100, and their conditions are mint and polished. You might not find a whole dining table set here, but at least you might get a better steal (and better style) if you shop for individual pieces!

Tip: Gamar Furniture also offers bespoke vintage furniture making. If there’s a specific vintage piece that you want to be duplicated or refurbished, the shop can turn your ideas into an actual piece.

Don’t be fooled by Tong Mern Sern’s old and rusty shopfront. The shop looks very dated, but this vintage and antique store houses a lot of treasures that world-class establishments such as the Raffles Hotel loan and purchase!

Uncle Tong, its founder and collector, has been sourcing antiques from all over Singapore in a mission to preserve the heritage and history of Tanjong Pagar. His collection ranges from a 150-year-old music box, retro TV sets, and vintage watches.

You can also find precious Chinese porcelain, jade trinkets, typewriters, cabinets, and grandfather clocks—literally any antique and vintage item you can think of! You can visit to simply marvel at his collection, but we recommend taking home at least one item!

Tip:
Many vintage gadgets and electronics at Tong Mern Sern are not working, but they’re still on sale for restoration in case you’re collecting such rare items. So, don’t be sad if you bring home an old typewriter and it’s out of order!

Many homewares and furniture, however, are in mint or pristine condition. Tong Mern Sern doesn’t offer restoration or refurbishment services, though!
