A Guide to Singapore Vintage and Antique Shopping

Shopping in Singapore is a marathon; you’ve got dozens of shopping malls, markets, and local mom-and-pop shops in almost every district on the island. It’s a paradise for shopaholics and treasure hunters!

By treasure, we mean, Singapore’s vintage items and antiques. There are hundreds of collectable knick-knacks, furniture, homeware, and more to be explored on the island, with items dating back to colonial times!

If you’re on the hunt for something unique and priceless, head over to these top vintage and antique stores. Happy treasure hunting!

Gamar Furniture (formerly Second Charm)

Preloved antique and vintage furniture from Gamar Furniture gives off all the nostalgic charm you’ll need for a chic but tasteful new home. Formerly known as Second Charm, this shop has been selling quality and solid wood furniture for over 20 years.

The shop’s collection spans three floors in an industrial building located along Kallang. They have ottomans, sofas, dining tables, chairs, and home decor such as lampshades, picture frames, pantries, and more.

A lot of the pieces you’ll find here can cost as low as $100, and their conditions are mint and polished. You might not find a whole dining table set here, but at least you might get a better steal (and better style) if you shop for individual pieces!

Tip: Gamar Furniture also offers bespoke vintage furniture making. If there’s a specific vintage piece that you want to be duplicated or refurbished, the shop can turn your ideas into an actual piece.

They have more modern furniture and decor in their catalogue, but the most prized items include pieces designed by world-renowned Scandinavian designers like Hans J. Wegner, Borge Mogensen, and Johannes Andersen.
