Singapore’s heat can be intense, but without a pool at my disposal, I’ve found the perfect way to cool off: spending a day at Adventure Cove Waterpark with my family.
Beyond just taking a dip, the waterpark offers so much more—thrilling rides, a relaxing lazy river, marine life encounters, and endless splashing fun.
My last trip to the waterpark was unforgettable, and I highly recommend it. I’ve put together a guide to prepare you before you dive in!

What to Do in Adventure Cove Waterpark
Chill and relax while you float along the Adventure River
From adventurecovewaterparksg
The Adventure River is probably one of the most popular spots in the waterpark if you want to skip the thrilling rides and the pools. This river takes you through all the 14 themed zones of the park, and all you have to do is sit back on your floatie!
You’ll pass through a jungle, a grotto cave, and even an underwater tunnel that also serves as an aquarium where a diverse range of marine life swims above you!
Tips:
- While the river is family-friendly, there is a minimum height requirement to ride it solo. If you’re with a child under 122 centimetres tall, you’re required to get a double-seater floaty and accompany them throughout the whole ride.
- Do not, at any moment, cling on to the grotto or the rock decorations along the river. Just move with the current to avoid hitting other guests!
Race your friends down the Dueling Racer
From adventurecovewaterparksg
Do you feel the need for speed? If you want to take your waterslide experience up a notch, why not race your friend down the Dueling Racer?
This waterslide lets you take up a mat and slide down as fast as you can with your friend, at the same time! There are two lanes in this attraction and it features a few dips to accelerate your speed.
Whoever reaches the pool first wins the race!
Tips:
- Only hold on to your mat and don’t try to reach out to your friend next door. You might end up hurting yourself and your friend if you try to let go of the mat, especially during the dips and bumps!
- There is a height requirement to get on this ride. Anyone under 107 centimetres tall is prohibited from getting on it! Also, only one person can slide down each lane at a time!
Splash around (or get splashed) at the Big Bucket Treehouse
From adventurecovewaterparksg
If you didn’t already get it, the Big Bucket Treehouse is a large play area that features multiple fountains, a treehouse obstacle course, and a splash section wherein a big bucket will pour down loads of water from the very top.
This family-friendly attraction is a great spot to play with your friends and family, especially your children. The bucket gets full almost every hour, so wait for the announcement and head straight below it to get splashed on!
Tips:
- You can access the higher levels of the treehouse by the sets of stairs on the side. Just be careful and do not run while you ascend because it can get slippery. I strongly advise accompanying your children up the treehouse for their safety.
- You can also get an intro to the bucket experience along the Adventure River. There’s a smaller version of it there, so keep an eye out for it before heading to the treehouse for a bigger splash!
Get your adrenaline pumping down the Pipeline Plunge
From adventurecovewaterparksg
If you’re a thrill-seeker who loves surprises, the Pipeline Plunge is your perfect match. This exhilarating water slide takes you on a wild ride through sharp dips and rapid turns, all within a pitch-black tunnel.
With each twist and drop, you’ll be kept on the edge of your seat, never knowing what’s coming next. Don’t be afraid if you don’t like the dark because you can definitely ride down the slide with a partner using the tandem floatie!
Tips:
- Note that because of the rapid turns and dramatic tilting of the slide, there is a maximum weight requirement. People who will ride it solo should not have a weight exceeding 115 kilogrammes while tandem riders should not have a combined weight of over 180 kilogrammes per floatie.
- Children are not advised to ride the Pipeline Plunge because it involves holding on tight to the railing of the floatie or raft. Even if you can accompany them, the management reserves the right to refuse entry if you’re bringing small children with you.
Test your bravery at the Riptide Rocket
From adventurecovewaterparksg
If you’ve ever been on a roller coaster, then you know the slight pump in adrenaline and anticipation the closer you get to the drop. Well, at Riptide Rocket, you’ll encounter roughly the same feeling, except you won’t actually know when the drop will come.
This waterslide is Southeast Asia’s first hydro-magnetic water coaster, blending high-speed roller coaster thrills with water-based fun. It’s not recommended for children (unless they love thrilling rides just as much as you do!).
Tip:
- You can ride this by yourself or with a partner. However, if you ride this solo, only sit at the front and not at the back. This is to ensure that the centre of gravity remains where you’re seated (and so that you won’t go flying elsewhere).
Take a chill pill and cool off at Bluwater Bay
From adventurecovewaterparksg
Looking for a seaside escape right in the heart of the waterpark? Bluwater Bay might be just the spot you need to unwind and relax for a while.
Much like the Big Bucket Treehouse, this expansive wave pool recreates the feel of a beach getaway, letting you enjoy the ocean vibe without stepping outside the park. It’s also a great place to relax and people-watch if you want to take a break from the rides.
Tip:
- Always keep an eye out for your children here. It’s easy for the crowds to pile up and several sections of the pool become deeper the further down you go. If your child can’t swim in deep waters, make sure to equip them with floaties or a life vest.
Get up close and personal with rays at Ray Bay Encounter
From adventurecovewaterparksg
Have you always dreamed of swimming next to majestic rays? Instead of just viewing them at aquariums, you can wade in shallow waters and get up close with dozens of them at Ray Bay Encounter!
The attraction offers an interactive feeding experience where you sit inside a massive wading pool while rays swim around you. You can feed them, pet them, or swim beside them. The pool is your oyster!
Tips:
- The Ray Bay Encounter experience has its own admission fee, but you can purchase it together with your entrance ticket to the waterpark for a total of $60 per person. Time slots for feeding and swimming are strictly at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm only!
- Although there is no height requirement, only guests above 5 years old are allowed to participate in the activity.
- Photography and videography are not permitted. However, an official photographer will be on hand to capture your experience. Photos can be purchased for an additional fee.
Say “hello” to dozens of colourful fish at Rainbow Reef
From adventurecovewaterparksg
Rainbow Reef is one of my favourite attractions in the water park, and I highly recommend anyone who loves marine life and snorkelling to try it out before leaving.
This man-made reef feels like stepping into another world, surrounded by over 20,000 vibrant neon fish and unusual corals—like a live-action Finding Nemo, except it’s also very educational.
It’s also child-friendly so long as all children are accompanied by an adult and are wearing their life vests. If you’ve never done snorkelling before, this is your chance to do it!
Tips:
- All guests should always move with the current so as not to hurt or bump into other people snorkelling in the same area.
- Never attempt to catch fish with your hands, even if they are within reach. Most of them won’t bite, but it’s best to keep your hands off them!
- Do not, at any point in the activity, grab onto the rocks or corals in the reef. You may injure yourself or break the habitat of the fish.
Swirl around and around at Whirlpool Washout
From adventurecovewaterparksg
Whirlpool Washout is probably one of the most popular attractions inside the waterpark because of its unique shape. This ride was easily one of my favourites because it simulated pretty much what it’s like to be in a whirlpool.
You go down a slide, pass through some dips and fast turns, and then get whipped into a large bowl where you’ll spin until you reach the centre. From there, you get dropped into a deep pool underneath with a big splash!
Tips:
- You can only get on the ride if your overall weight is between 26 and 115 kilogrammes.
- It’s better to ride this slide solo instead of with a partner since there is a big drop at the end.
Test your resistance to dizziness at Spiral Washout
From adventurecovewaterparksg
Spiral Washout is the sister slide to Whirlpool Washout (because they share the same splash pool), except instead of a drop at the end, you’ll shoot out into the splash pool after circling a twisting and turning water flume.
The ride is a lot faster than its sister and will send you spinning around and around at incredible speeds. It’s not for the faint of heart, so if you know your tolerance for dizziness, this is the ride for you!
Tip:
- Expect some dramatic tilting and drops during this ride, so if you’re with small children, consider skipping it.
Meet and pet some friendly dolphins at Dolphin Island
From titi_kamall
Dolphin Island offers a unique opportunity to interact with and learn about the Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphin. My daughter loves learning about the dolphins and getting close to them, even if it means getting wet!
Choose from experiences ranging from an insightful introduction at the habitat’s edge to a memorable swim with the dolphins.
This is also where you can gain insights into their anatomy, social behaviour, and marine conservation efforts.
Tip:
- The marine mammal experts at Dolphin Island follow a strict policy wherein guests must arrive at the venue at least 45 minutes before the start of the program. Latecomers will not be accommodated, unfortunately.
Where to Eat and Drink in Adventure Cove Waterpark
The Bay Restaurant
From adventurecovewaterparksg
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Pricing: $$
Website
Located next to the biggest rides in the park, the Bay Restaurant offers anyone feeling hungry after all the thrill washes out with hearty Asian and Western food. Most of the cuisine they serve is Japanese, but you can also get burgers, fries, pizza, and more.
Some bestsellers include chicken katsu curry, chicken burger, steamed chicken rice, Caesar salad, veggie pasta, and more. Wash down the savoury flavours with scoops of ice cream and ice-cold drinks!
Tips:
- Get free ice cream if you share your photos of your trip to the water park and follow their official Instagram page. Leave a Google review or a TripAdvisor review as well to get more chances of winning free ice cream!
- It’s mostly al fresco dining here, but there’s a lot of shade. I recommend snagging a table by the fans or near the balcony to get more fresh air!
