Balanced Life Psychotherapy & Counselling has been operating since 2015 and is led by Geetika Malhotra, a psychotherapist trained in Singapore, the UK, and Australia. The practice offers a practical and accessible option for psychological assessments, including ADHD, autism, and dementia.
Their assessment process is structured and thorough, with written reports available for school, workplace, or insurance purposes. Virtual sessions are also offered, which makes the service more convenient for families who prefer not to attend in person.
One feature I appreciated is the availability of enhanced packages that allow up to three different assessments at a bundled rate, rather than paying for each separately. This can be a more cost-effective option for families who need multiple evaluations.
Balanced Life also offers an optional initial screening session, which is designed as a shorter and more affordable alternative for those who may not require a full, comprehensive assessment. Clients can choose to proceed directly to a full assessment if they prefer, as the screening session is not mandatory.
Payment is required upfront in order to secure a booking. Clients typically claim directly from their own insurance providers after payment, and those with insurers such as Cigna or Allianz may find that ADHD and autism assessments are covered, although it’s best to confirm coverage with the insurer beforehand.
Would 10/10 Recommend
“Vincent is great! I could only come after working hours and he was willing to stay back to provide counselling. It was nice to know that my needs were being met and that he was willing to go the extra mile to see me! Would 10/10 recommend.”

Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) services at ABA LABS focus on helping children with developmental challenges through structured therapy and individualized intervention. As an assessment center supporting children with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), the organization emphasizes early identification and targeted strategies to support a child’s growth and development.
ABA LABS aims to build better futures by delivering personalized Applied Behaviour Analysis therapy designed around each child’s needs. Their approach focuses on helping clients make meaningful progress while guiding them toward reaching their full potential.
The center’s team combines expertise in special needs education, early childhood development, and behavioural therapy. This multidisciplinary background allows them to address the unique challenges faced by children with ADHD, autism, speech delay, and developmental delay.
Leadership and clinical direction are supported by professionals with formal training in behavioural analysis and cognitive assessment. The director, Eugene, brings extensive hands-on experience in behaviour therapy and holds credentials such as Qualified Autism Service Practitioner – Supervisor (QASP-S) along with training in the WISC-V cognitive assessment and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
ABA LABS also emphasizes early intervention and practical skill development to help children adapt to everyday environments. Programs are designed to improve communication, emotional regulation, social interaction, and learning readiness.
Beyond therapy sessions, the center integrates services that support children both in school and at home. School shadowing, individualized education planning, and parent collaboration are used to ensure that therapeutic progress carries over into real-life settings.
Overall, ABA LABS positions itself as a supportive assessment and therapy center dedicated to guiding children with ADHD and ASD through structured behavioural programs. Their focus on personalized treatment plans, professional expertise, and holistic development helps families navigate developmental challenges with clearer direction.

Since a clinical ADHD or autism assessment can be expensive, I appreciate that centres like the Autism Recovery Network exist. They provide free initial assessments and consultations, which aren’t comprehensive but can give parents enough insight to decide whether to pursue a formal one.
After the free assessment, they offer a more structured version that includes observation, developmental profiling, and consultation with their team to verify results.
They also have therapy packages, so your child can undergo this assessment and continue with Applied Behavioural Analysis sessions without paying separately.
Therapy can be done at their centre or at home, which makes them more accessible for families. It’s also helpful that they’re a part of the Baby Bonus Scheme, allowing parents to save on assessments and programs.
The downsides are that they sometimes cancel appointments at the last minute and fail to respond to inquiries.
It’s been a wonderful journey with ARN for the past few months
“It’s been a wonderful journey with ARN for the past few months. We admitted our kid here a few months back and he has already started showing improvements in communicating with us. Now he responds to actions which were never the case earlier.
Teachers have been very compassionate and supportive all through. Supervisor’s inputs every month have been invaluable and ensured the curriculum is adjusted accordingly to meet the kid’s learning needs.
If you’re looking for early intervention programs or therapy services for your kid, look for no other place than ARN.”

With more than a decade of experience, AutismSTEP is a solid option for ADHD and autism assessments. They have an MOE-registered psychologist who can prepare a full report within two weeks and help you with the SPED school application process.
What stood out to me is their home program, where they come to your place for assessments and therapy sessions. This feels more natural for the child and less stressful for the family.
They can also conduct sessions in Mandarin for families who are more comfortable in Chinese.
Another highlight is their partnership with Income Insurance, which provides insurance coverage for children with autism. It offers a 10% discount on AutismSTEP’s services and includes protection for permanent disability or if your child accidentally injures someone or damages property.
Unfortunately, their follow-up support is mainly focused on autism, with ADHD less emphasised. They also require a deposit before booking.
Through their guidance, patience and understanding he has improved so much
“Our grandson has been with AutismSTEP since he was 4 years old. He is 7 this year. We appreciate Li Yuan’s assessment and recommendation. Mr Vinod and Ms Tiffany are great therapists for our grandson. Through their guidance, patience and understanding he has improved so much. I highly recommend AutismSTEP!”

The best autism therapy service we’ve engaged
“We’ve been with AutismSTEP for 2 years and have seen so much improvement in our child. Special thanks to Ms. Sabrina for treating our child like her own grandchild, truly the best therapist we could ask for. AutismSTEP has been, by far, the best autism therapy service we’ve engaged. Unfortunately, as we’ve found a full-day autism school for Umar and due to financial considerations, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to move on. Thank you, AutismSTEP, for everything you’ve done for our family.”

Kaleidoscope Therapy Centre was founded in 1999, and I find it a solid option for parents who want consistent follow-up support. They provide thorough assessments for ADHD and autism, using interviews, questionnaires, and even school visits to ensure accurate results.
The best thing about them is their early intervention program, where children aged 2–7 receive occupational and speech therapy. These sessions are designed to help kids build the skills they need for school and everyday life.
I also like that they have former SPED school teachers who offer 1:1 home-based tuition for children with special needs. Furthermore, the centre is approved under the Baby Bonus Scheme, which means eligible families can offset some of the costs.
The drawbacks are the fees, which remain high if you’re not eligible for subsidies, and the fact that slots fill up quickly, making availability a challenge.
They offer good advice at all times
“Therapists and staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. They offer good advice at all times and are very responsive.
My child first attended speech therapy and had good results. Therapist is very experienced, patient and observational. She suggested an occupational therapist for other developmental needs. All the therapists are very knowledgeable and able to prescribe activities suitable for children based on their assessments.”

Another centre I came across that provides a wide range of follow-up support is Psych Connect. Founded in 2019, they offer comprehensive assessments for children with autism, ADHD, and dyslexia.
What’s interesting is that they also handle forensic psychological assessments. This is quite niche and usually comes into play when there are legal or custody matters.
Their support programs are varied. One example is therapeutic shadow support, where a trained professional accompanies a child in school to help them integrate more smoothly.
They also provide art psychotherapy, which can be useful for kids who struggle to express themselves verbally.
The catch is that their services cost around $300 an hour, which can be tough for many families. The upside is that they offer financing through PlatoPay to ease the burden.
Some clients also mentioned that their facilities feel cramped, which affects comfort during sessions.
Incredibly meticulous throughout the process
“We had a wonderful experience with Ms. Aneesha Sathianathan at Psych Connect. She conducted a thorough assessment for my son and was incredibly meticulous throughout the process. What stood out most was how well she engaged with him—her calm, warm demeanor made him feel comfortable right away.
Ms. Aneesha not only handled the sessions with great professionalism but also provided us with valuable tips that have made a noticeable difference. Since starting therapy, we’ve seen a major positive change in our son. He has been very receptive to her guidance and support.
Thank you, Ms. Aneesha, for your dedication and care. We’re truly grateful and extremely pleased with the services at Psych Connect.”
