Founded in 2023, FunCo Event is a newcomer to Singapore’s event planning scene. They’ve already pulled off 12 successful events across the city, which is a pretty impressive start.

Their niche seems to be business events, covering mostly stuff like trade shows, seminars, and conferences. They even handle award ceremonies and can take care of everything, including designing and producing the awards themselves.

But what really caught my attention was their structured 5-step planning process. They take the time to sort out all the details, lock in trusted vendors, run everything on the day itself, and even do a post-event check to see what could be improved.

That said, one downside is that they don’t always respond to enquiries, which can be frustrating for potential clients.

TheMeetUpSG is an award-winning event planning company that’s been around since 2017. Some of the most notable awards they’ve won throughout the years are the Singapore Prestige 100 Award and the SME 500 Singapore Award.

I had the pleasure of working with them a few times at a previous company, and honestly, they were solid. They helped us launch several seminars and conferences with minimal fuss, handling everything smoothly.

They even organised an overseas retreat for us, which was a nice break from the usual office routine. With their help, we also put together customised corporate gifts, making the retreat even more memorable. Definitely one of my highlights from that job!

However, a huge downside is that their services are in high demand these days, so securing them for an event can be tricky.

If your event involves participants from different parts of the world, JNR Event is worth checking out. Founded in 2013, they specialise in virtual event planning, handling stuff like team building sessions, dinner-and-dance nights, and family day celebrations.

They’ve got the tech side covered to ensure things run smoothly without unnecessary hiccups.

What’s impressive is that they also host Virtual Amazing Races, where teams compete in solving puzzles and challenges across different virtual locations, all facilitated live on Zoom or Microsoft Teams. It’s a fun way to keep remote teams engaged without feeling like just another work call.

But they’re not perfect. Since their expertise leans heavily towards virtual events, they might not be the best fit if you’re looking for a planner focused on in-person experiences.

For business owners looking to boost their company’s visibility, AT Events Group is worth considering. They were founded in 2016 and can handle a wide range of events, including corporate functions, private parties, and even public events. 

One thing they do that’s pretty interesting is influencer marketing events. Since social media is where all the hype happens, they help brands partner with influencers to create events that actually get noticed online.

They also handle international conference planning, which can be a lifesaver for companies hosting conference events outside Singapore. They take care of venue booking, transport, scheduling, and all the logistical headaches, so businesses can focus on what matters.

Sadly, they’re not exactly cheap, so if you’re working with a tight budget, they might not be the best option.

Big Top is an event planning company that’s a good fit for anyone looking for some carnival fun. True to their name, they specialise in lively events for corporate family days and private parties.

I must say, their carnival setups are where they shine. They don’t just throw in a couple of game booths and call it a day. They go all out with inflatable playgrounds, air dancers, lucky draws, and live food stations.

Oh, and they also do movie screenings, which are great for those chill outdoor events. With massive screens, high-quality projectors, and proper sound systems, they bring a real cinema vibe.

That said, you’ll have to sort out your own movie licensing, which is a bit of a hassle. And since their focus is more on party-style events, they’re not the best fit for more formal gatherings.
