The 17 Best Ice Creams in Singapore to Beat the Heat
What better way to beat the Singapore heat than diving into a cup of super cold, super creamy, and super sweet ice cream?
I love sticking to the classic flavours, especially chocolate, and then topping it off with a generous helping of sprinkles. But sometimes, I also love trying out new flavour combinations.
Fortunately, ice cream shops in Singapore are here to deliver both! So far, here’s my favourites.
Birds of Paradise

- Friday and Saturday—12 pm to 10:30 pm
Contact Number: +6596786092
If there’s only one ice cream shop you can visit in Singapore, let it be Birds of Paradise. After all, this has been recommended by the Michelin Guide, which is a high honour!
This shop is best known for its botanical flavours, and they are really good. My current favourite is the white chrysanthemum gelato, which is infused with chrysanthemum florets. It has a subtle floral taste, and I love how the cacao nibs add extra texture and a burst of nutty flavour.
Pro Tip:
You can book this shop for a special event. Experiences they offer include a live scoop station, gelato party cups, and chest freezer rental.
Dopa Creamery
From: dopadopa.sg

Contact Number: +6565353539
Dopa Creamery is named after the word “dopamine,” and eating ice cream here definitely gives you a dopamine rush!
I recommend any of the premium flavours. My personal favourite is the Ferrero ice cream, which is incredibly rich and intense. It also has a strong nutty taste from their homemade hazelnut paste, which I like.
If you want your treat to be slightly more filling, order a waffle as well. I love how the ice cream gets into every nook and cranny of the waffle!
Pro Tip:
Spice up your special event by booking a mobile cart from Dopa.
Creamier
From: creamier_sg
Address: 131 Lor 1 Toa Payoh, #01-02
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday—12 pm to 10 pm
Contact Number: +6588825106
Creamier had its humble start in Toa Payoh, but now, it’s grown popular enough to have multiple outlets in the country. Still, I love going to its original location because the vibe there is immaculate and the menu is always expanding.
I always try to get new flavours whenever I can, and so far, the one I keep coming back to is the red bean mochi. This ice cream is so creamy, and the red beans and mochi bits add a lovely velvety and chewy texture to it. I also like that it’s not too sweet.
Pro Tips:
This shop also sells ice cream that’s perfect for your dogs. Treat your furry friend when you can.If you order from their website, you can score free delivery for orders beyond S$80.
They offer catering services for special occasions. You can even create your own flavour if you want.

- Monday—6 pm to 10 pm

Contact Number:
What makes Tom’s Palette impressive is its array of ice cream flavours. Most shops only have a few dozen, but this one has over 180 options! And many of these are flavours I’ve never even thought would work for ice cream!
Lately, I’ve been obsessing over the Parmigiano Reggiano and Crackers ice cream. I never thought that cheese aged for 14 months and white chocolate crackers would work well in ice cream form, but hey, I’m glad to be wrong!
Pro Tips:
Learn how to make your own ice cream by attending one of their classes. This shop also offers services for events and parties.
Kind Kones
From: kindkones_sg

Are you lactose-intolerant and looking for a plant-based ice cream alternative? Don’t worry because Kind Kones got you covered!
I recommend you try the pandan gula melaka ice cream. This one has a lovely aroma, thanks to the pandan blended into the coconut base. As for the flavour, you can expect a decadent sweetness that’s undercut by a slight bitterness.
Even though all ice creams here are plant-based, some still contain traces of nuts. Keep that in mind if you’re allergic.
Pro Tips:
This shop offers special deals every now and then. Right now, one deal you can take advantage of is 4 pints of ice cream for S$54. Liven up your party by booking this shop’s catering services.

Delato specialises in Sicilian-style gelato, which means that cornstarch is used as a thickening agent instead of egg yolks. The ice cream is still thick and creamy, though it definitely leans to the chewy side, which is an interesting mouthfeel.
My favourite flavour here is the mango basil ice cream because I love the fruity-herby combination. Sometimes, I pair it with their matcha mochi waffles. The waffles soak up all the sweetness from the ice cream, making every chewy bite all the more delicious.
Pro Tip:
You can use your CDC vouchers here.

Apiary is an adorable little shop. With its white walls and minimalistic interior design, this place makes me forget about the outside world for a little while as I dive into my ice cream.
Their signature flavour is honey ice cream with cocoa nibs, and I like it because of its subtle sweetness. The Alphonso mango sorbet is another good one. It has a tangy kick, and the mango flavour makes me feel refreshed.

Located inside The Alps Residences, Glasshouse Creamery is a sight to behold. It’s literally housed inside a glasshouse, so the interior is bright and airy, giving off a soothing atmosphere.
I suggest you try the Trio Set because this one lets you enjoy three different ice cream flavours and chewy mochi waffles. My favourite flavours to pick are Coffee Chip (the coffee flavour is strong in this one), pistachio (love the rich, nutty taste), and Tropical Fruits (it’s perfectly sweet and tart).
Pro Tip:
This place is always full on Sundays, so I recommend coming here on any other day.

I love that this ice cream shop is named Holy Cow Creamery because I want to exclaim “holy cow!” out of amazement every time I eat one of the ice creams here. Most of the flavours are unique and exciting, and I’m always looking forward to trying something new.
The Rainbow Rush ice cream is a recent favourite. It tastes like cotton candy, with rainbow sprinkles and mini marshmallows. This treat brings me back to when I was a little kid, obsessing about unicorns, rainbows, and all the colourful things.
Pro Tip:
Book their catering services, such as a live scooping station and pre-packed scoops, for your special party.
Denzy Gelato
From: denzygelato
Address: 509 Bedok North Street 3, #01-103

The owner of Denzy Gelato was trained in Italy, and you can tell that because the ice cream here is always of top quality. I also love that aside from the classic sugary treats, this place also has ice creams without any sugar—perfect for people on a diet.
I always get the blueberry yoghurt ice cream here because the tangy-sweet flavour combo is just to die for. Another one I like is the Yoghurt Speculoos. This one is also tangy, but it leans more toward decadent sweetness, thanks to the cookie butter.
Pro Tip:
Liven up your special occasion by having Denzy’s catering services.
KOOKS Creamery
From: kookscreamery
Address: 211 Serangoon Ave 4, #01-02
Operating Hours:
- Sunday, Tuesday to Thursday—12 pm to 10 pm
- Friday and Saturday—12 pm to 11 pm
Contact Number: +6590068748
KOOKS Creamery is popular because of its giant cookies, but this shop also offers a wide range of indulgent ice cream pints.
The lemon curd tart is my personal recommendation. The tartness from the lemons is undercut by the buttery goodness from the cookie crumbs.
Pro Tip:
If you order from the website, you’ll get free delivery when your order exceeds S$80.
Burnt Cones Gelato
From: burntcones
Address: 105 Clementi Street 12, #01-02 Blk 105 Clementi St 12
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday—9 am to 12 am
Contact Number: +6597111097
Burnt Cones Gelato first opened during the 2020 pandemic, and several years later, it’s still going strong. For me, that’s a good sign that this is a great shop.
What’s great about Burnt Cones is that their gelato base is aged for at least 12 hours before it gets churned. So, the flavour runs deep in every scoop.
I recommend you get a light cone because it adds a nice buttery flavour to your ice cream. For the ice cream itself, you can’t go wrong with Reese’s Peanut Butter. The intense sweetness and the rich nuttiness are a match made in heaven.
Pro Tip:
Book their mobile cart for your momentous occasion.
Freshio Gelato
From: freshiogelato
Address: 91 Bencoolen St, #01-60 Sunshine Plaza
Operating Hours: Thursday to Tuesday—12 pm to 10 pm
Contact Number: +6569700358
Freshio Gelato is an underrated gem inside Sunshine Plaza. It’s located in an alley that anyone can easily overlook, and the interior is homey and down-to-earth. But their ice cream? Phenomenal!
I’m a big fan of the butter salted caramel ice cream because it’s just super indulgent. The ice cream is rich and buttery, and the salted caramel sauce is intensely sweet. Despite that, though, I can’t get enough of it!
Pro Tip:
If you don’t know which flavour to get, you can get a taste test for free.
Momolato

Every time I visit Momolato, I’m always overwhelmed by the extensive array of flavours. It seems like there are always new additions, and I want to try them all, but I also want to treat myself to my favourites. Ah, the struggle!
One of the flavours I keep coming back to is the Milo Dinosaur Marshmallows because it reminds me of my childhood when I was obsessed with Milo. The distinctly sweet Milo flavour is strong in this one, and I love how the mallows add a soft texture to every spoonful.
Pro Tip:
If you order online and your total exceeds S$75, you can get free delivery.

Usually, I stick to one of their regular flavours, especially the Cookie Monster because it’s super creamy and sweet. But sometimes, I venture out and try one of their seasonal specials.
Right now, my favourite is the chrysanthemum ginseng ice cream, which tastes like a refreshing tea. It even has a cooling effect you would normally find in mint!

Contact Number: +6562556366
Located in the heartlands, Geometry is a minimalist cafe offering an impressive assortment of desserts. I do love the tarts and brownies here, but their gelatos have to be my favourite from the bunch.
You have to try the salted caramel ice cream. It’s incredibly rich, with a touch of sea salt. It also comes with brownies, which are super fudgy and chewy. I always end up ordering multiple scoops just to satisfy my cravings.

If you want to make a special order, you can send a request to [email protected].

If you’re in Bishan, then Salted Caramel should be on your itinerary!
Of course, you have to get their titular salted caramel ice cream. This classic treat is so thick that even if you turn the cup upside down, it won’t fall at all. As for the flavour, you can expect it to be decadent and intense—but not to the point that you get sick of it.
