Big Mama Fabric Care is a popular laundry service in Singapore, and I can see why. After all, their array of services is impressive. In addition to the usual laundry and dry cleaning, they can also do curtain cleaning, carpet cleaning, and more.

They even offer express laundry, which is good news for people in a rush or who have experienced a major emergency on a garment that they have to wear the next day. 

Another great thing about Big Mama is that it has two locations in Singapore, and both of which are located inside shopping malls, so they’re very accessible. 

I also love the staff here. They’re communicative and reliable, so working with them is pleasant. One time, I didn’t have time to drop off my items at the shop, and they were considerate enough to come to my address and pick them up instead. 

That said, sometimes, their efficiency takes a hit during peak season (usually when there’s a festival). Some clients complained about waiting a week only to discover that their items hadn’t even been cleaned yet. This is quite frustrating.

Rosabelle Launderette is another one with multiple outlets in Singapore, and all of them are in convenient locations (one is along Orchard Road, another is along Stirling Road in Bukit Merah, and the third is along Seletar Road in Serangoon). 

I have to commend the list of services here. They can do the usual laundering and dry cleaning, as well as garment alterations. They can also handle all sorts of things—from garments to home items like rugs and carpets to restaurant linens! 

I also like that they offer free delivery service. This is such a convenient option, especially when you can’t go to the shop to pick up your stuff.

The staff here is lovely and easy to communicate with via WhatsApp. They’re quite fast, too. Their turnaround time is around three days. 

That said, the pricing here can be steep. Special handling can go between S$6.50 and S$25 per item, and it gets even more expensive for bigger things like bedsheets and quilts. For wash, dry, and fold, the rate is S$7 per kilogram, which is a tad pricier.

They also only accept cash, so keep that in mind.

What makes The Good Husband Laundromats and Dry Cleaners stand out from the rest is the fact that they’re open 24/7. This makes the shop accessible to more people, especially those who are only free to do their chores in the evening. 

This shop also has two locations in Singapore—one in Changi and another in Seletar Hills—so you have options.

Their lineup of services is pretty decent. You have the classic wash-dry-and-fold and premium dry cleaning services, but they can also handle other items like rugs, curtains, footwear, and even Labubus! You can also have your clothes pressed or ironed here.

I also like that they offer some snacks for sale. This isn’t a necessity, but it’s nice to treat myself to an ice cream while waiting for my clothes to finish their cycle in the machine. 

The prices here can be high, though. A wash and fold service costs S$9 per kilo, while dry cleaning starts at S$10. Considering the space’s clean and cosy ambience, the price isn’t much of a deal-breaker, but it’s still worth considering.

Comfortable and stress-free experience

Laundry Day only offers wash-dry-and-fold services, which is a bit of a bummer for people with delicate garments that need special handling. But if you just want something simple and straightforward, then this laundromat is for you.

What I like most about Laundry Day is its convenience. Aside from its accessible location, the rates are cheap—S$15 per three kilos and S$5 for every kilo more—and the process lasts around three hours, so you can pick up your stuff within the day!

I love the staff here as well. The lady behind the counter is kind and accommodating. One time, I stayed at the Holiday Inn behind the laundromat, and she offered to drop off my neatly folded clothes at the concierge. It was such a thoughtful gesture!

Do take note that this laundromat only accepts cash. But there is an ATM nearby, so this shouldn’t be too much of a problem.

Lovely staff

“A++, would recommend. Lovely lady inside, we dropped off 5.5kg of washing in the morning, paid and got a receipt. Currently, she is charging minimum $15 for 3kg. She was very kind and mentioned as we were staying at the Holiday Inn behind, she could drop the laundered clothes to concierge if we wanted. (Only as it was so close, I don’t think it would be for any other hotel due to distance). Clothes came back washed, dried and folded neatly in a labelled bag.”

Mister Wash Laundromat is another great spot if you just want a simple washing and drying of your clothes. Dry cleaning isn’t available here, so if that’s what you’re looking for, you’re better off going to a different laundry shop. 

You’re also not allowed to wash items like carpets, floor mats, shoes, and pet garments here. 

On the bright side, Mister Wash has many outlets in every region of Singapore, and all of them are open 24/7. Because of this, it’s such a convenient laundromat for travellers and other busy people. 

Some outlets even have dining spots nearby (usually hawker markets or cheap restaurants). So, if you’re hungry, you can take a snack and come back after 40 minutes (that’s how long it usually takes for the washing to finish here). 

I also appreciate the detailed instructions on how to use the machines posted on the walls and their website. So, even if this is your first time using a laundromat, you won’t feel lost or overwhelmed.
