ResumerWriter.SG caught my attention when I learned that many of their clients have landed jobs at prestigious companies like Google, P&G, and Mastercard.
This is why I went with this company back in the day. I didn’t end up with any of these companies, but I did get a great job, so it’s still a win!
Their CV writing packages are incredibly detailed and thorough. First, you’ll be assigned an experienced CV writer who’s going to look at your CV and totally overhaul it. Then, they’ll create a resume and a custom cover letter, both of which are tailored for every application you’re sending out.
They even apply for jobs on your behalf, which is just so handy!
If you pay for the more expensive packages, you’ll get even more benefits. For example, the Premium package includes a career coaching session, which will prepare you for the future.
Meanwhile, the Ultimate package has everything that the lower tiers offer, but this time, their services are available for an unlimited time—that is, until you land a job. Talk about convenient!
If you want to up your job-hunting game, you can avail even more of their services. For example, they can update your LinkedIn profile and provide you with email templates that you can use post-interview (e.g., asking for a status update).
You can also learn how to negotiate your salary from any of their coaches, which is an essential skill, especially if you’re someone like me who’s meek when it comes to negotiation.
I also really like that this company offers a guarantee just in case you’re not satisfied with their services. Depending on which service package you book, you can get up to 30 days of a money-back guarantee, which means if you don’t land a job using your new resume within 30 days, you can get a refund.
The only outlier is the Ultimate package, which doesn’t provide a guarantee, but this package does give you unlimited access to their services.
Also, if you’re not sure if this is the company for you, you can book a confidential consultation, which will let you meet with one of their recruiters. This recruiter will analyse your CV and provide career guidance. This consultation is free of charge, so make good use of it!
The only major downside of this company is that their rates aren’t affordable; their cheapest option is way beyond S$200. That said, their services are amazing, and they do offer several other perks, so I say their pricing is ultimately worth it.

A professional recruiter will write your resume here, which is great news because they know the right keywords that will attract other recruiters. If you’re not satisfied with your resume, don’t worry because they will grant unlimited revisions within 30 days.
If you get their more expensive service bundles, you can access more of their services. One look at WickedCV’s website showed me that this company likens their services to magic spells, which surprised me at first, but after hearing stories from their former clients, I realised they must be onto something. With many clients getting the job of their dreams, they might as well be doing magic!
This company is run by two women, Eunice Wang and Yvonne Du, with more than 15 years of experience working as advertisers and marketers for multi-million-dollar global brands, so it’s safe to assume they know what they’re doing. True enough, you’ll witness their expertise as soon as you book a service from them.
First, you’ll send your CV to them and answer a questionnaire so that they can understand what your goals are.
Then, they’ll schedule a call, which only lasts for an hour, but it doesn’t feel like it, considering how informative and thorough they are with the feedback.
Next, it’s time to write the new CV, and they can actually whip this out in three days! That sounds fast enough, but if you want it done under 48 hours, they’ll gladly do so, too (this does come with a fee).
But that’s not all! If you’re not impressed with the quality, you can request a revision or two. Either way, you’ll be getting the final CV, which is polished and ready to send out to recruiters.
Aside from CV writing, this company offers other services that will improve your job-hunting chances. One popular service they offer is a LinkedIn makeover, which—you guessed it—overhauls your LinkedIn profile to make it more professional-looking.

The only downside to this company is the prices. They’re really expensive, especially the packages.
We do think that their services are worth it, but I don’t think they’re accessible to everyone, especially the new graduates entering the job market for the first time. We feel like their services are best-suited for professionals who have years of experience and are looking for a better job opportunity.

CareerSocious is an online company, which can both be a good thing and a bad thing.
The good thing is that everything is done online, so you can just contact your resume writer whenever you’re able, and they’ll just send back the new CV or resume via email.
The bad thing is that they don’t have a physical location, so you can’t have a face-to-face consultation with anyone. I personally don’t mind it, but I do know many people who like seeing the writers they’re working with in the flesh. It makes the experience more personal.
They offer a wide variety of services, and resume writing is the most sought-after. Experts craft your resume to make sure that your achievements and skills are clearly showcased.
They also make sure to use optimised formatting so that the Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) that the company you’re applying for can read your resume without a hitch.
Their services usually come in a bundle, and the prices are surprisingly affordable, considering just how much is packed in one package. The cheapest already includes a personalised consultation and a resume, all under S$200.
If you prefer the higher tiers, you can score even more perks, such as a cover letter and LinkedIn profile optimisation (or creation, if you don’t have one yet).
