Boxpark’s 24-hour access seems to be many Singaporeans’ favourite feature, but it’s only one of many perks that this company has to offer. 

For starters, Boxpark has 11 unit sizes and dimensions that you can choose from, and you can even decide whether you want your storage space to have AC.

We gathered from a coworker that her boyfriend who is a hiking enthusiast rents one of Boxpark’s locker-type storage spaces for his mountaineering gear, tent, and hiking boots. 

Since they both live in a one-bedroom condominium unit, he rents the space so their closet space can be allocated for their day-to-day clothes.

She told us that they specifically chose the 12-month rental duration since they weren’t planning on moving anytime soon. However, for a duration that long, they had to pay a relatively hefty sum. 

We gathered other clients’ comments on Boxpark’s rental costs and found that most of them share our coworker’s sentiments. 

Boxpark also appears to have an issue with responding to peoples’ requests for a quotation.

From door-to-door storage to document storage and self-access storage, you name it, Spaceship seems to have all sorts of storage services for you. 

Their self-access storage, in particular, is open for 24 hours, and their unit sizes range from 6 sq ft up to 300 sq ft. 

Albeit only having two locations, we found that a lot of young Singaporeans prefer this company. 

In fact, an entrepreneur in her mid-20s shared that she appreciates Spaceship’s flexible terms because they don’t require a lot of complicated paperwork when it comes to extending her rental. 

She also likes the perks such as accessible trolleys and pallet jacks that she can freely use to haul her merchandise without asking staff for assistance.

We found Spaceship’s rental cost pretty affordable. In fact, their 50 sq ft units only cost $175 a month. 

However, since this company only has two existing locations in Singapore, it’s not always guaranteed that your preferred storage space is available. 

With 12 locations spread all over the country, it’s not a surprise why Lock + Store is one of the leading storage space rental companies in Singapore. 

Its reputation has always intrigued us, and we were glad to discuss it with a coworker who has experienced renting at this company. 

She gladly told us that while the rental cost was very pricey, every cent had been well spent at the 97 sq ft storage that she rented.

Apparently, she stumbled upon Lock + Key while she was in a tough spot. She had been moving to a newly built house and needed space to store her furniture. 

She was busy at the time, so she didn’t really get the chance to regularly check up on her things. However, she wasn’t too worried about them since the security assured her that they routinely check if locks have been tampered with. 

If anything, the only downside that she personally experienced with the company was that they were slow to confirm whether or not she got her preferred unit. 

She resorted to calling their hotline to follow up on the online form that she filled out. After that slight bump though, everything was smooth sailing. 

U-Store@SG piqued our interest because it’s one of those storage companies that have air-conditioned units, and honestly, how cool is that? 

Pun aside, we found that a lot of business owners, especially those in the food industry have been renting at this company because of the aforementioned units.

These are essential for them, as most of their products are at risk of spoiling if they were stored in a cramped and humid environment. 

Albeit a little pricey, the business owner that we talked to mentioned that he was actually saving more money by renting than storing his products in his place. 

He told that if he were to store his food there, he would have to purchase extra refrigerators and a freezer just to keep his products cool. 

And since U-Store@SG’s location is closer to his store, he was also paying for the accessibility. 

The only thing drawback that we found upon researching the company is that it doesn’t have 24-hour access.
