Where: From Geylang Serai Market (near Wisma Geylang Serai) to the area beside Tanjong Katong Complex

Admission Fee: Free

Ramadan is almost here—it begins on March 2 and ends on March 30—and Singapore is already preparing for it. But it’s not just the mosques that are getting ready for this momentous occasion; the Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaar is also gearing up for its 2025 return!

This bazaar is beloved by Muslims and non-Muslims alike because it promises a slew of fun things to do for a whole month. You can indulge in delicious treats, shop for colourful clothes and artisanal gems, and many more!

This year, the bazaar is available from February 26 to March 31, and it will be open from 10 am to 11:59 pm. On the eve of Hari Raya (March 31), opening hours will be extended until 4 am the next morning (April 1).

How to Get There

Riding the MRT is the best way to get to the Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaar Singapore. Ride either the East–West or Circle Line and alight at Paya Lebar MRT Station.

Then, take the exit facing Paya Lebar Square, turn left, and turn again at Guard Health and Beauty. Continue walking in the direction of OneKM and Wisma Geylang Serai. The bazaar is right next to Wisma, so you won’t have a hard time finding it.

What to Expect

First time attending the Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaar? Then, let me just tell you that you’re in for a ride! Shopping and eating are the two main activities you can do here, so you better prepare your wallet.

Foods to Try

Personally, food is always the reason why I attend. There are hundreds of food stalls available. The whole space smells so aromatic that it will make your stomach grumble!

I tend to gravitate toward a bag of fried chicken skin and lekor (Malay fish crisps), but this year, I’m looking forward to indulging in bubble-tea-inspired pancakes, dendeng (beef/lamb jerky), churros, and Thai milk tea.

Must-Cop Items

Once you’re stuffed, why not wander to the shop area where there are even more stalls selling all sorts of items? Traditional yet Hari Raya clothes for ladies, men, and kids are the most common products being sold, but you can also find other things like decorative lights, carpets and rugs, wall decor, and curtains.

If 2024 was anything to go by, then I can expect that the products this year will be just as vibrant and colourful. Maybe this time, I will purchase something to liven my place!

Tips

To ensure you’ll have a convenient experience, I recommend you go early. Even better if you come in the morning. Nighttime seems to be the busiest time for the bazaar.

Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as well. You’ll be doing a lot of walking, so it’s best that you’re taking good care of your feet.
