Any reasonable husband and wife-to-be will know that a wedding photoshoot is integral leading up to the big day. A wedding photoshoot is an awesome way to commemorate your last few months as an engaged couple.
A killer photoshoot warrants a breathtaking venue. So, to help you with your search, we rounded up the best wedding photoshoot locations in Singapore that’ll make you want to say “I do” sooner!
Lalang Field at Jurong Lake Gardens
Address: Yuan Ching Rd, Singapore
Operating Hours: Open 24/7
Jurong Lake Gardens, a sought-after wedding photoshoot spot in Singapore, boasts numerous Instagram-worthy sites in one expansive garden complex. A haven for photographers, it caters to both casual and professional needs.
One of the most popular wedding photoshoot locations there is the Lalang Field, which is a sprawling grassland with tall Chinese Fountain grass dominating the area. A tall sculpture made of recycled iron, The Lone Tree, stands tall in the middle.
The large open space is the perfect spot for couples who prefer to use nature as the main background in their wedding photos. No matter what angle you shoot, the photos won’t look like you’re in the middle of the Lion City!
Tip: Jurong Lake Gardens’ Lalang Field has no artificial lighting, so you’re at the mercy of good weather and natural light for your photoshoot. We recommend shooting by sunset or sunrise to get the best lighting effects! |
Raffles Marina Lighthouse
Address: 10 Tuas West Dr, Singapore 638404
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday, 8:00 am to 10:00 pm
If you’re looking for a seaside wedding photoshoot location in Singapore that’s quiet and intimate, the Raffles Marina Lighthouse may be your best option, especially if you’re shooting with a small crew.
The lighthouse sits right next to Raffles Marina, a dock for private yachts facing the sunset. It’s a very scenic spot, especially during the late afternoons when the sun goes down and its rays reflect on the calm waters.
Even better, the yacht and boats docked there add some character and charm. It’s a small and private area, so shooting with a small crew is recommended to avoid overcrowding!
Tip: Climbing up the Raffles Marina Lighthouse is currently prohibited, so you’ll mostly be shooting on the pier or on the docks where the yachts are located. There is ample lighting in the area by evening, but we highly suggest coming here by sunset to take advantage of the afterglow! |
Fort Canning Park
Address: Fort Canning, Singapore
Contact Details: +6518004717300
Operating Hours: Open 24/7
Fort Canning Park is a great wedding photoshoot location for couples who love history! Moreover, if you and your fiancé have an affinity for climbing hilltops and foliage-clad ruins, this place has something special in store for you!
Beyond its historical significance as the former British Army headquarters during colonial times, Fort Canning Park offers multiple gardens for couples to shoot at without needing too many props or equipment.
The tree-lined pathways and the famous spiral Tree Tunnel are popular spots for photoshoots. There are restrooms within the park, too, for easy wardrobe changes!
Tip: The best time to do a photoshoot at the Fort Canning Park Tree Tunnel is at sunrise when the sun’s rays shine through the tree canopies and below the spiral staircase. Since it’s a popular spot in the park, you may encounter lots of other guests taking photos there too. We recommend getting there as early as you can to avoid holding up any queue! |
Singapore Botanic Gardens

The garden serves as an ideal setting if you desire a complete immersion in nature, offering a plethora of picturesque backdrops, ranging from romantic gazebos to verdant gardens, providing you with a diverse array of choices for your photo session.
Notable attractions include the quaint Ginger Garden, the picturesque Swan Lake, and the National Orchid Garden, which hosts a diverse array of orchid species numbering in the thousands.
Tip: The Singapore Botanic Gardens management requires prior approval before you can conduct a wedding photoshoot in the gardens. You must submit a request at least 14 days in advance, and although you can shoot there, your permit doesn’t give you exclusive use of the venue. You can make a request on this page or call their hotline. |
HortPark
Address: 33 Hyderabad Rd, Singapore 119578
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday, 6:00 am to 11:00 pm
Couples with a passion for gardening may consider HortPark as their preferred wedding photoshoot location in Singapore. HortPark boasts 13 themed horticultural attractions, complete with extensive lawns and mini gardens for all sorts of photography!
A few spots in the park to consider for your photoshoot are the Valley of Edibles, the Therapeutic Garden, the Golden Garden, and the Silver Garden. Some more unique landscapes, like the Rock Garden, feature rare foliage lining a stone pathway.
It makes for a perfect forest-like backdrop, not just for green-thumbed visitors, but also for couples who want several backdrop options within one massive space. You’ll save time because you don’t have to travel far to visit each of them!
Tip: HortPark is a hub for pollinators like bees and butterflies, so if you don’t want them included in your photos, consider sticking to attractions like the Therapeutic Garden where bees aren’t always present. It also helps to bring some bug spray with you. You don’t want your skin looking red and full of bites in your photos! |
Gardens by the Bay
Address: 18 Marina Gardens Dr, Singapore 018953
Contact Details: +6564206848
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday, 5:00 am to 2:00 am
A vibrant blend of lush greenery against sleek glass structures and bold lines, Gardens by the Bay stands out as an iconic spot for wedding photoshoots in Singapore. You’ve got more than just garden attractions to choose from too!
A top choice for wedding photoshoots in the garden is the SG50 Lattice, a geometric structure crafted by the Singapore University of Technology and Design. Couples can strike poses at the centre, basking in the sunlight filtering through the intricate lattice.
If you’re into a floral-themed shoot, there’s the Floral Fantasy, Cloud Forest, and Flower Dome attractions for lush backdrops. These attractions have entrance fees, though, but sites like the Supertree Grove and the Bay East Garden are still free of charge!
Tip: Gardens by the Bay is such a popular photoshoot spot that the management currently offers packages for couples who want to make the most out of their shoot within the complex’s multiple attractions. The package is inclusive of four tickets to two chosen attractions, free parking, buggy services, and a staff member for assistance––all for $188 per session. There’s a makeup and dressing room available for rent for $200 as well! |
National Gallery Singapore
Address: St. Andrew’s Road, Singapore 178957
Contact Details: +6562717000
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm
When it comes to choosing a classy photoshoot location, the National Gallery Singapore takes the cake. The gallery is housed in a late-1920s Supreme Court building, with striking British colonial architecture pristinely conserved.
The National Gallery Singapore, a national monument, offers stunning exteriors reminiscent of scenes from Gossip Girl, and equally impressive interiors. It’s a unique and ideal location for a wedding photoshoot amid a plethora of artworks and sculptures.
The ban on flash photography is a universal rule in museums and galleries, especially for a place like this. However, the NGS permits visitors to conduct photoshoots outside and inside the building, granted that still photography (absolutely no flash) is done!
Tip: Although the National Gallery Singapore allows photoshoots, some exhibits are off-limits, even for still photography sessions. You’ll need to submit a request for a photo permit via this page and stay up to date with the contact person for the designated photoshoot areas within the museum. |

All these attractions offer unique photo opportunities for backpacking couples or people who simply want an unconventional shooting location. We won’t be surprised if your photos turn out as if you were transported elsewhere other than an airport!
Tip: Wedding photoshoots are permitted, so long as you sign up here and apply for a permit within five days’ notice. Wedding photography in Jewel Changi Airport is only limited to the Shiseido Forest Valley and the HSBC Rainforest, though. If you’re looking for more shoot locations outside of Jewel Changi Airport, you’ll need to apply for a separate permit from Changi Airport here. |
Raffles Hotel
Address: 1 Beach Road, Singapore 189673
Contact Details: +6563371886

The hotel’s beautifully preserved neo-Renaissance architecture and interiors make for an opulent backdrop. You can strike romantic poses in the Grand Lobby, columned terraces, or around the lush courtyard located at the heart of the hotel.

A few great shoot spots are Kelong Bridge, Sentul Walk, Adventure Bridge, and the Jetty. These spots are good vantage points to catch the sunrise and sunset in the background.

Tip: In case you’re parched, there’s a vending machine located near the Sunrise Bridge. Outdoor photoshoots can be difficult if the weather isn’t in your favour, so grab a drink and hydrate as much as you can! |

That said, if you’re aiming to pay homage to Peranakan heritage and culture in your shoot, this is the place to do it. Rumah Bebe also serves as a restaurant, so you’ve got lots of prop ideas to include in your shoot.
Aside from artefacts and elaborate decor, Rumah Bebe also has rental Nyonya sarong kebayas (traditional beaded Peranakan attire) that you can wear for your shoot. Overall, there’s everything you need to create an elaborate and thoughtful homage shot here!
Tip: As Rumah Bebe is a pretty small space, you’ll need to bring along a small crew. It’s highly recommended to reserve the whole place for yourselves for the shoot! |

The Atlas Bar’s iconic design has made it a coveted wedding photoshoot location in Singapore, so you’ll need to reserve the place at least 90 days in advance to secure a date.

The SkyPark Observation Deck gives you unobstructed views of the city, including a birds-eye view of Gardens by the Bay, the Singapore Flyer, and more.

S.E.A. Aquarium
Address: 8 Sentosa Gateway, Sentosa Island, Singapore 098269
Contact Details: +6566888826
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Take your wedding photoshoot under the sea and strike poses next to manta rays, sharks, and jellyfish at S.E.A. Aquarium. It boasts over 1,000 marine life species, displayed in large aquariums designed to mimic their natural habitat.
That said, using the S.E.A. Aquarium as your primary shooting location is a great idea if you love the ocean and marine life. Photography is generally allowed inside the aquariums, so long as you don’t use flash (to not disturb the animals, of course).
The S.E.A. Aquarium’s most Instagram-worthy spots include the Apex Predators of the Sea tunnel, the massive glass Open Ocean Habitat aquarium, and Ocean Diversity.
Tip: The S.E.A. Aquarium’s interiors have generally low lighting, so it’s pretty dark inside, save for the illuminated glass aquariums. Since they don’t allow heavy lighting equipment and flash, you’re gonna have to be creative in terms of how you want your photos to look in such dark areas. |
The Museum of Ice Cream

If you want the whole space to yourselves, you’ll need to book a Museum Bookout to ensure that no other guest can enter the venue until after your shoot. If you don’t have the budget for that, you can always come on a weekday to avoid large crowds!
Tip: While they generally allow photography, heavy equipment and lighting aren’t advisable. You can send a photoshoot request here and detail all the equipment you’ll need for the shoot. You can only bring them if you receive direct approval! |

The museum is available for photography sessions at $180 for two hours of shooting inside the museum. You get access to the museum’s interiors, but flash photography is strictly prohibited in the exhibitions.
Tip: You’ll need to secure a permit for photography sessions here. You’ll also have to plan a very lowkey photoshoot session here, as the museum only allows a maximum of 5 people, including you and your fiancé to shoot inside. Fullerton Hotel
Address: 1 Fullerton Square, Singapore 049178
Contact Details: +6567338388
Operating Hours: Open 24/7, specific shooting times may vary depending on permit terms
Another national monument to consider for your wedding photoshoot is the Fullerton Hotel, a historic neoclassical landmark sitting right next to the Singapore River and the Anderson Bridge.
It’s not just the heritage and history that make this hotel very popular among couples as both a wedding venue and photoshoot location, but also because of its grand architecture and multiple opportunities to shoot both indoors and outdoors.
If you take photos outside, you get a dazzling shot by the river with the Fullerton Hotel’s facade or the beautiful Anderson Bridge in the background. The interiors are equally stunning, giving you backdrops of opulent decor and high ceilings.
Tip: To get a better deal on a private photoshoot session at Fullerton Hotel, we recommend booking a night’s stay there. Guests get an exclusive rate of just $350 for one hour of shooting (compared to the usual $400 on weekdays and $500 on weekends) when bookings are made via this page. Plus, the package already includes a professional photographer! |
