I didn’t overspend by opting for Factory Direct (FD). True to the name, they skipped the middlemen and hit me with factory-direct rates.

The blinds were made-to-measure, meaning they all fit my window frames properly. And with over 10 varieties offered, I had a tough time deciding on just one (settled on Venetian in the end).

I also won’t hesitate to call Raj, the installer, again; he wrapped up faster than I expected and cleaned up afterwards. Better yet, I’m yet to face any faults three months later, thanks to his A-tier handiwork and maintenance hacks.

There’s no showroom, though. I relied on digital brochures and reps.

Demand is pretty high, too. Emergency installations aren’t always certain.

On the upside, I stayed informed. FD’s WhatsApp-based support responded fast, and the friendly reps picked an installation date that worked best for me.

The cherry on top is the Singapore-wide delivery.

Curtain Track & Rod Supply’s versatility caught our attention. Specialising in different property types, standard fittings, and custom setups, they’re no one-trick pony.

Those competitive rates make things sweeter. Installation packages sit between S$3 and S$5 per square foot, and each comes with free colour consultation services.

That brings us to the end-to-end perk. Beyond consults and installations, they cover measurements, delivery, post-service advice, and repair.

The downside is, consultations are only done online. It’s handy, but some prefer in-person meetings.

It’s best to book in advance, too. Daj, arguably their top technician, is highly requested.

No major snag to report past that. The reps we chatted with were polite and informative, and the fact that they’re available daily (though not 24/7) is a boon.

Oh, and the name isn’t for show. They do provide curtain track and rod installation, as well as general handymen services (like these firms), ticking that “one stop” box.

Longevity is a solid indicator of quality, and Singapore Blinds has 13-plus years in the game. That’s over a decade of providing condos, offices, and HDB flats with custom-made window treatments (these window contractors can also help).

In terms of range, theirs lined up with our requirement. You can nab office, Venetian, roller, including outdoor ones, Korean, and vertical blinds here.

The installation team is quite meticulous as well. Casper, for instance, doesn’t mind inspecting a home twice to ensure measurements are truly spot-on.

More impressive is the guy’s promptness. Interviewees said that he gets it done quickly, with free professional advice to boot.

That said, they close shop on Sundays. Other shops operate daily.

Faster restocks on the online store would also be ideal; some types were unavailable the last time we browsed.

As for the pricing, it shouldn’t change. Ruth, the polite rep, handed us some competitive quotes.

We can’t talk about one-stop shops without giving BlindXpert Xperience Center some props. Balcony zip blinds are what they’re praised for, but you can also request services related to curtains, indoor blinds, and smart home integration.

I’m a big fan of how they explained things. Advanced stuff like invisible grilles and the SmartZip system was made clear by Xiao Lang.

Even the salespeople did an amazing job. I talked to Andrew and Ryan, and they gave me expert input on colour matching while being transparent about the timeline and pricing.

BlindXPert’s product range isn’t bad either. They have roller, Roman, Venetian, Zebra, and honeycomb blinds.

The after-sales service, however, needs some serious work. It’s generally described as sluggish (sometimes even absent), which frustrates those with post-installation queries and defect-related complaints.

And yep, the latter part is another cause for concern. We’ve seen a few clients who moaned about post-installation issues like crumpling.

Established in 2012, The Curtain Boutique is another tested and flexible choice. The majority of their indoor/outdoor blinds come in varying colours, fabrics, and materials.

What’s cool is that you can visit a showroom to inspect the goods, including their best-selling Ziptrak. We suggest looking for Lorraine or Sam, as both clearly explained the features, strengths, and drawbacks to us.

Another bonus of swinging by the showroom is getting quotes and coordinating the schedule in person. It’s more personal than the email/phone route.

The installers often keep to the schedule as well, especially Ah Son’s crew. Sometimes, they even finish the job faster than planned.

Unfortunately, not everyone is satisfied with the results. People have lodged complaints about hitches like tearing and jerking.

TCB has also shifted installation dates before, usually from one month to the next.

If there’s a silver lining, it’s prestige. They’re our most awarded and arguably popular entry.

Smooth experience purchasing and getting my Ziptrak set up by the team at The Curtain Boutique (Ubi). Brent provided great customer support from the moment we walked in – even without an appointment. He took us through the mechanics and requirements, provided discount and promotion information, and proactively followed up with us then worked with our ID to finalise the installation date. Huge thanks to the installation team (Team Ripon and Sikder) for doing a remarkable job. While I was not able to be onsite during installation, they shared many photos of the final product, including a very detailed and useful video of how to use the Ziptrak.
