The Best Occupational Therapists in Singapore for Steady, Guaranteed Progress

Qualifications and training - We looked for therapists with recognised degrees in occupational therapy, registration under the Allied Health Professions Council, and evidence of ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices.

Areas of expertise - We considered whether therapists focus on paediatrics, geriatrics, neurological rehabilitation, or workplace ergonomics so clients can find someone aligned with their specific needs.

Clinic accessibility - We checked if therapy centres are located near MRT stations or bus routes and whether they offer flexible scheduling that accommodates working professionals, students, or carers.

Client support - We assessed how approachable and empathetic the therapists are, whether they communicate treatment plans clearly, and how welcoming and comfortable the clinic environment feels.

Price fairness - We reviewed whether fees are transparent and fair, taking into account the therapist’s expertise, the quality of care, and whether insurance or package options help make sessions more manageable financially.

I started noticing my son was having trouble learning to write and getting distracted easily, and it worried me that he might fall behind once he began elementary school.

I knew this wasn’t something I could fix on my own, so I brought him to an occupational therapist. Watching his steady progress through the sessions gave me so much relief and hope.

Because I know other families might be facing the same challenges, I’ve put together a guide to the best occupational therapists in Singapore.

This list focuses on helping people regain independence in daily activities. If your main concern is restoring physical mobility, we’ve also compiled the best physiotherapists in Singapore.

I wanted to make sure my son received proper treatment, which is why I chose Magic Beans. They have more than 10 years of experience and rely on evidence-based techniques, so the sessions felt structured and purposeful.

The therapist working with us is Loretta Ho, a certified supervisor for occupational therapists who is recognised by the Allied Health Professions Council.

She has been guiding my son to improve his fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care routines, and social participation. The progress has been noticeable, especially in his focus and attentiveness.

I also appreciate that they provide teletherapy, which is convenient when the weather makes travelling difficult. The free consultations were also of huge help to us.

The only downsides are accessibility and booking. They’re a bit far from the nearest MRT station, and there’s no proper online booking system, so you have to call or leave your details on their site.

Pros

  • More than 10 years of experience
  • Therapists trained in evidence-based techniques
  • Focus on occupational therapy for kids
  • Teletherapy sessions available
  • Free consultations offered

Cons

  • A bit far from the nearest MRT station
  • No proper online booking system

Words cannot express our gratitude to Magic Beans and their team

“Words cannot express our gratitude to Magic Beans and their team. Our daughter suffered from crippling anxiety and resulted in her struggle with selective mutism. She was painfully shy and could not express herself freely for the first 4 years of her life. With Teach Ying’s guidance and weekly lessons our daughter is now connecting with her peers and adults and developing the confidence to bridge her communication skills with her fun-loving cheekiness. Our daughter is now signed up for singing lessons and inspires us to sing in front of an audience. Something we would have never dreamed possible. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support! We look forward to seeing you soon.”

The support we received was exceptional

“I highly recommend Magic Bean! We came to them with my son’s bottle aversion, and the support we received was exceptional. The entire team was compassionate and knowledgeable, and they made our journey so much easier. Special thanks to Desiree, who was incredibly patient and skilled—her guidance helped my son make real progress, and we even started working on solids with her encouragement. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you, Magic Bean, for making such a positive difference in our lives!”

Kidz Occupational Therapy Consultants have been around for years, and they focus mainly on kids and young adults who need help with things like fine motor skills, sensory processing, and everyday routines.

I found their therapists to be quite family-oriented, which makes the whole process less intimidating for parents. Parent education and case conferencing are part of their approach, too, which I think is useful because it keeps everyone aligned.

It also helps that they try to keep costs manageable by offering subsidised assessment packages. These include an initial 2-hour assessment with a detailed report and some follow-up sessions.

Furthermore, they’re part of the Baby Bonus Scheme, so you can use your Child Development Account to offset costs.

However, occupational therapy appointments are only available on weekday mornings between 9 and 11. That may not be convenient for many families.

Pros

  • Follows a family-oriented approach
  • Parent education programs to guide families
  • Case conferencing to align home and school strategies
  • Subsidised assessment packages with report and follow-up sessions
  • Eligible under Baby Bonus Scheme for CDA use

Cons

  • Appointment slots only available on weekday mornings between 9 and 11
  • Services limited to kids and young adults

Very grateful to the POTC team for their thoughtful and effective care

“Very grateful to the POTC team for their thoughtful and effective care. I highly recommend POTC for their holistic and modern approach to treatment, and respect for the whole child. They were both sensitive and professional to first time clueless parents and have seen us through from confusion, angst, worry and anxiety over several years to pride and relief in a happy and thriving child armed with an arsenal of coping mechanisms to face the world with enthusiasm, and no trepidation.”

OT For Kids SG comes across to me as a clinic that goes beyond just treating children in a room. They focus on helping kids with motor skills, sensory processing, and emotional regulation, and they make sure parents are part of the process too.

What I found useful is that therapy isn’t stuck in the clinic. They actually do home and school-based sessions, which makes sense, since kids spend most of their time in those settings.

They also prepare letters and detailed reports that schools or doctors can use, which is handy when you need official documentation. On top of that, they run workshops and talks for parents and teachers on child development and related topics.

The only issue is that their scope is quite narrow, since it’s mainly paediatric OT, and they don’t list official business hours, so arranging sessions might take extra effort.

Pros

  • Specialised in paediatric occupational therapy
  • Parents actively involved in therapy process
  • Offers home and school-based sessions
  • Provides letters and detailed reports for schools or doctors
  • Runs workshops and talks on child development and related topics
  • Consultancy services available for educational institutions

Cons

  • Scope limited mainly to paediatric OT
  • No official business hours listed

We see great progress and feel very supported

“Ms Valery is absolutely the best! She is able to connect so well with my child and made every session enjoyable. We see great progress and feel very supported. Most importantly, my child loves her and looks forward to the session every week! To add on, the session also benefits myself to be able to regulate more and learn how to interact with my child. Thank you Ms Valery!”

It has been nothing short of a great experience

“Ms Valery has been supporting my daughter for the past year. She is warm, encouraging and my daughter looks forward to her therapy sessions. I can see her passion in her work. I greatly appreciate the strong emphasis placed on parental coaching which has taught my spouse and I ways to help our child better. Administratively, Jieying makes communication a breeze. It has been nothing short of a great experience working together with the team at OT for kids.”

I checked out Ohana Therapy and thought I’d share what stood out. They only started in 2022, so they’re still quite new, but the team has plenty of experience from both public and private healthcare.

One thing I noticed is their strength-focused mindset. For occupational therapy, they make it a point to highlight your strengths and use those to support areas where you might struggle.

They also cater to infants, which is reassuring for parents who want early intervention. Flexibility is another plus. You can book them for home visits, school sessions, or even teletherapy if travelling is inconvenient.

Language options are wide too, with therapy available in English, Mandarin, Malay, Tamil, Bahasa Indonesia, and Portuguese.

On the flip side, everything is strictly by appointment, and being new, they don’t yet have the long track record of older clinics.

Pros

  • Strength-focused approach
  • Early intervention available for infants
  • Flexible settings with home, school, and teletherapy options
  • Wide language support

Cons

  • By appointment only, no walk-ins
  • Relatively new in the industry

They truly care about my daughter

“My daughter, Ruo Xi, has been attending Speech Therapy with Joy and Occupational Therapy with Zann. Both therapists are very patient and kind, and they truly care about my daughter. In just three short months, I have already seen noticeable improvement in her. I strongly recommend Ohana to any mother who is looking for support and progress for their child.”

Ohana goes above and beyond in every aspect of their approach

“Ohana goes above and beyond in every aspect of their approach. The child is at the heart of every decision and they work seamlessly across functions and therapists to offer a holistic and fluid approach to the strategy to best support your child’s development. They are an integral part of our child’s support structure and have provided continued and invaluable guidance that draws on years of experience and a breadth of skill sets. We couldn’t be more grateful to have such a measured and dedicated network of support behind our child’s development.”

Another clinic that I found to be quite accessible is Dynamics Therapy Group. They started back in 2004 and have therapists certified in Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests, which means they’re trained to help patients manage both physical and mental challenges.

What I like is that they don’t limit themselves to the clinic. They actually go into schools to support teachers and students, which makes the therapy feel more connected to everyday learning.

For families who want convenience, Therapy@Home is available, and if you’re busy or overseas, TeleHealth and Hybrid Therapy give you more flexibility. They also have the Theratech app so patients can continue exercises outside of sessions.

That said, I heard that their therapists sometimes arrive late to appointments. There are also some reports of the final bill differing from the initial quote.

Pros

  • More than 20 years of experience
  • Has SIPT-certified therapists
  • School support services that integrate therapy into classrooms
  • Therapy@Home option for convenience
  • TeleHealth and Hybrid Therapy for flexibility
  • Theratech mobile apps to continue exercises outside sessions

Cons

  • Therapists sometimes arrive late to appointments
  • Final bill can differ from the initial quote

I can see improvements in my kid’s behaviors and academic progress

“The therapists of Dynamics are very professional. They are able to pinpoint the condition of my kid and provide guidance accordingly. Nevertheless, they are proactive in coordinating communication with school in order to give all round support to my kid. I appreciate their patience and professionalism in handling my kid’s issue. Natalie is responsible for giving psychological therapy and Shermin is the educational therapist. They work together to support my kid in both emotion and academic aspects. I can see improvements in my kid’s behaviors and academic progress. Thank you Dynamics to the core of my heart ❤️.”

It’s one of the best in town

“We’re sending our son to Dynamics Therapy Group for occupational therapy. I highly recommend this place; it’s one of the best in town. Mr. Kalai, his therapist, is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented. I’m confident that my child is in good hands. Lindsay, the front desk assistant, always greets us with a bright smile and positive energy.”
