5 Best Speech Therapists in Singapore for Kids, Adults, and Seniors

✔ Relevant qualifications and AHPC registration - We made sure each speech therapist is properly accredited to practise in Singapore.

✔ Experience with specific speech issues - We found ones who have dealt with speech delay, stuttering, autism support, stroke rehab, and swallowing difficulties.

✔ Clear therapy approach and family communication - Each must properly explain the goals of the treatment and what happens in every session. They must also provide regular progress updates.

✔ Clinic convenience and overall fit - We assessed the accessibility of their location, scheduling, child-friendliness, and whether the therapist makes the client feel comfortable.

My niece wants to enrol in acting school, so before the spotlight, we knew her speech needed a bit of support. That sent her mum and me looking for the best speech therapy clinics in Singapore without wasting time on guesswork.

We quickly realised not every clinic is the right fit for every child or adult. Credentials, specialisation, and location matter a lot when you want support that actually works.

So I put together this guide to the best speech therapists in the Lion City for families who want trusted help fast.

To provide further help for parents, I’m also sharing the best assessment centers for ADHD and ASD in the area, as speech delay is a common issue for children in the spectrum.

My niece has a stutter, so her mum brought her to Magic Beans because she wanted to understand properly what was going on before starting her daughter on therapy.

She immediately liked that the team didn’t treat it as a quick checkbox exercise, but instead took the time to look into the little girl’s medical history, developmental milestones, and current level of functioning.

That thorough approach made the clinic feel more reassuring for her than most places that jump straight into sessions without much context. Magic Beans also offers more than just speech therapy; it handles feeding and swallowing therapy, occupational therapy, early intervention, and dietetics support for children with overlapping needs.

It’s especially relevant for my niece because of the targeted support for stuttering rather than a one-size-fits-all program. It struck her mum as a good fit for families who want evidence-based help and a clinic that understands how speech issues can affect confidence, communication, and daily life.

Her only issue, however, is that Magic Beans’ Mountbatten location is a little less convenient since her family doesn’t live nearby.

Pros

  • Very thorough intake process
  • Strong stuttering/speech delay support
  • Useful multidisciplinary setup

Cons

  • Not a conveniently central location
  • Limited weekend access

Definitely worth the flight from Indonesia to Singapore

We are so grateful for the Magic Beans clinic. Mrs Desiree has been helping my son’s speech therapy since July 2024. She is very passionate, and the progress of my son’s speech is very fast; he can engage with her very well. Definitely worth the flight from Indonesia to Singapore.

My girl’s pronunciation has improved greatly

My girl came to Magic Beans for speech therapy to correct her pronunciation since she was 4. Under his patience and guidance, my girl’s pronunciation has improved greatly. He has been very approachable and tactful in the way he guides my girl during the session, and my girl really likes him so much, even to say he is the best Uncle Brian ever! He will also share with my husband and me on how to practice with my girl at home on what was taught during the session. We are so blessed to have the best speech therapist, Brian, in helping my girl with her speech pronunciation for the past decade. Highly recommend Magic Beans and Brian!

My colleagues’ son has Autism and speech delay, so TLC Speech Clinic came up quickly since they’re very much built around children with developmental and communication needs.

It appealed to the entire family because it’s not a speech-only setup, but a multi-disciplinary clinic offering speech therapy, occupational therapy, educational therapy, psychology, and early intervention under one roof.

That matters to them because their child needs more than clearer speech; he also requires support with communication, school readiness, and daily functioning. The clinic feels more practical for families managing several moving parts at once.

They’re also strong on the family-centred angle. They explicitly emphasise parent training and caregiver support, so it’s an ideal setup for parents who don’t want to be left guessing what happens outside the therapy room.

Their two locations at United Square and Crown Centre also help a bit with convenience, especially for families who want a central clinic with parking.

That said, pricing needs to be enquired directly before parents or guardians can easily compare the clinic rates to those of other speech therapists in Singapore.

Pros

  • Strong Autism-friendly setup
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication support
  • Good for prep-school goals
  • Also offers group-based learning

Cons

  • AAC and other programs could feel overwhelming at first
  • Unavailable public pricing is hard to compare to others at first glance

We have seen remarkable improvement in her speech and her ability to communicate

I would like to share my feedback regarding my daughter’s progress. She has been attending speech therapy sessions with TLC Speech Clinic, Teacher Alex, since December 2023. Over this period, we have seen remarkable improvement in her speech and her ability to communicate confidently. My girl can now speak clearly and express herself much better. We truly appreciate Teacher Alex’s patience, dedication, and effective guidance throughout her journey. Thank you, TLC, once again for the excellent care and therapy provided.

Teacher Yui took time to understand possible factors contributing to my son’s condition

My 6-year-old son attended voice therapy with Teacher Yui due to his raspy voice. From the first session, Teacher Yui took time to understand possible factors contributing to my son’s condition and taught us ways to improve how he uses his voice. After a few months, my son’s condition has improved greatly. Not only has Teacher Yui taught us valuable techniques, but she is also extremely engaging and patient with my very active boy. Thank you, Teacher Yui, you have helped us tremendously.

Mum is recovering from a stroke, and as her primary caregiver, Speech Barn caught my eye with its free 30-minute teleconsultation. I found it a low-pressure way to test the waters first before committing to full speech therapy for her.

I liked that this isn’t a clinic trying to be everything at once. Instead, it’s a focused practice in Jurong East offering speech, language, and feeding therapy for both kids and adults.

For my mum’s case, the adult service list feels especially relevant. They specifically handle support for adults with stroke, dementia, head and neck cancer, and Parkinson’s disease, which makes it credible for post-stroke communication work.

There’s also group therapy and workshops for parents, caregivers, and professionals. I would recommend it for families who want a smaller, more approachable clinic with clear adult and caregiver support built in.

The main downside is that Speech Barn isn’t the easiest option for clients who find East Jurong out of the way.

Pros

  • Free 30-minute consult
  • Strong adult-neuro relevance
  • Smaller, more personal setup
  • Cosy therapist environment

Cons

  • By-appointment only setup
  • Single West Side location only

My child has really improved by leaps and bounds

Karen really has a way with children and is knowledgeable in her field. The session is structured, but she has many strategies up her sleeve, which make the lesson super fun. My child has really improved by leaps and bounds in his pronunciation since attending weekly sessions. I would highly recommend Speech Barn.

She is now able to articulate a much greater range of vocabulary

Through Teacher Karen’s sessions. We see tremendous improvement in our daughter’s speech, where she is now able to articulate a much greater range of vocabulary with greater clarity. And more importantly. She is displaying much greater confidence in expressing herself and communicating with others. Thank you, Teacher Karen!

I have a cousin who wanted adult speech therapy that felt tailored to her needs instead of being generic. Amazing Collective looked promising for precisely that. They clearly support children and adults, with personalised speech therapy and rehabilitation.

They’re not a tiny single-serve clinic, either. Amazing Collective has a team of 38 specialists and therapists, and has supported over 10,500 individuals across speech therapy, early intervention, and rehabilitation.

For adults in particular, the service mix feels practical and useful. They offer adult speech, language and voice therapy, swallowing therapy, stroke rehabilitation, and even corporate speech training for clearer professional communication.

Now my cousin recommends this centre to other adults who want customised support for communication, swallowing, or neuro-rehab needs within a bigger multi-disciplinary practice. It helps that the clinic also pairs clients with the most suitable therapist or program.

That said, she still advises enquiring directly about therapist-by-therapist background, given its broad menu of services and programs.

Pros

  • Large multi-disciplinary team
  • Strong adult pathway
  • Personalised matching process
  • Distinctive early intervention model

Cons

  • Finding the right therapist takes a bit more homework

Our child was improving while having fun!

Our child had a wonderful learning journey at Amazing Speech, especially under the guidance of Ms Brenda. She is articulate and eloquent in building trust and insightful interactions with the child. We were particularly impressed by how Ms Brenda tactfully blends learning with play — our child was improving while having fun! The results were evident after just a few classes, and we could see the cheerful confidence growing in our little one. We are truly grateful and would definitely recommend Amazing Speech and Ms Brenda to other parents.

I’ve seen significant progress in how my daughter communicates

Ms Catherine is amazing! My daughter looks forward to seeing her every week. I’ve seen significant progress in how my daughter communicates after just a few classes. Ms Catherine has been a tremendous help to my daughter, and she has been very supportive to us as parents, sharing tips and advice on how to better help my daughter at home.

My next-door neighbour suspects her little one may have selective mutism. Thankfully, Ohana Therapy lists this kind of support for selective mutism under its speech and language services.

Straightaway, she liked how they work with children, adolescents, adults, and infants, which makes it feel more flexible than a narrowly paediatric-only clinic. She also appreciates their family-centred, neurodiversity-affirming, and strength-based approach.

For a child who may shut down in social settings, that gentler and more collaborative style feels better for her than a rigid, one-track therapy setup. It helps that its services menu is broader than a standard speech clinic, too.

Besides speech and language therapy, Ohana also offers therapies for feeding, occupational, educational, play, music, art, social communication groups, mobile sessions, and teletherapy (useful for kids needing overlapping support on anxiety, regulation, or school adjustment).

It’s a good fit for families who want a more customised and multi-disciplinary plan, especially for kids with communication needs tied to autism, anxiety, or developmental differences.

That said, parents may still need to enquire in depth to understand which therapist or path fits their child best.

Pros

  • Selective mutism is a special therapy
  • Very broad therapy menu
  • Neurodiversity-affirming approach
  • Built-in social communication support

Cons

  • The broad services menu can be overwhelming at first
  • Therapist matching may require research

Both therapists are very patient and kind

My daughter, Ruo Xi, has been attending Speech Therapy with Joy and Occupational Therapy with Zann. Both therapists are very patient and kind, and they truly care about my daughter. In just three short months, I have already seen noticeable improvement in her. I strongly recommend Ohana to any mother who is looking for support and progress for their child.

The child is at the heart of every decision

Ohana goes above and beyond in every aspect of their approach. The child is at the heart of every decision, and they work seamlessly across functions and therapists to offer a holistic and fluid approach to the strategy to best support your child’s development. They are an integral part of our child’s support structure and have provided continued and invaluable guidance that draws on their years of experience and a breadth of skill sets. We couldn’t be more grateful to have such a measured and dedicated network of support behind our child’s development.
