Pros
- User-friendly
- Basic payroll features are available for free
- Payslips are easy to access
Cons
- A bit pricey if you opt for a plan
- Full HR stack is not as expansive as others
Small and medium enterprises in Singapore love Talenox for its user-friendly interface and built-in calculation engine.
HR staff we interviewed said the software allows them to pay employees in only three steps! Also, the system has been accurate so far in that they have yet to receive discrepancy complaints from workers.
Another handy and much-loved Talenox feature is its easy-access payslips. Employees can view and download theirs without fuss for easy review!
We also love that companies can use the payroll software for free. The free version has all the basic features, which is perfect if you want to test the system first.
If you want all the payroll features, you can opt for the full HR stack plan, though it’s a bit pricey. Also, the plan only includes profiles, leaves, and payroll management, which is pretty basic for the price.

Pros
- Easy-to-understand, transparent computation
- Smooth integration with accounting software and local banks
- Customizable payslip items and processing schedules
Cons
- Short free trial period
- Delays in customer support response possible
Companies love Payboy for its emphasis on transparency and full compliance with Singapore regulations.
Users mentioned that the software is transparent with its payroll calculations. They said they don’t need to wonder about the computations, as every item (leaves, attendance, and claims) is visible for easy reference.
Payslip items and processing schedules are also customizable to suit different business models. Users said the platform is intuitive, so they didn’t have a hard time customizing!
Payboy is also up-to-date with MOM, CPF, and IRAS regulations. Moreover, the software seamlessly integrates with local banks and popular accounting software Xero and Quickbooks for further convenience.
However, it’s a bummer that the software company only allows a seven-day free trial of the full plan (it’s too short). Also, consider that Payboy’s customer support has recorded a few misses in the past, particularly not responding promptly to queries.

Pros
- Convenient integration with payment platforms
- Reasonable rates
- Fully compliant with regulations
Cons
- Reported timeclock bugs
- Customer support needs improvement
Singapore-made product JustLogin is a practical choice for young companies with a limited budget for payroll and other HR services. After all, the companies we interviewed all said the plan prices are reasonable!
Moreover, it’s fully compliant with MOM, CPF, and IRAS regulations and has accurate CPF calculations, helping lighten the burden of payroll work.
We also love that the software can integrate with local payment platforms such as Reap and InstantPay. The feature makes the payroll process hassle-free!
However, users said the software needs continuous improvement, with some reporting timeclock bugs where their clock-ins and clock-outs weren’t recorded accurately.
Moreover, some clients said JustLogin’s customer support wasn’t as helpful as expected. One HR staff member told us she had to make multiple calls, as the first tech she talked with gave her vague solutions.

Pros
- Ten years of industry experience
- Secure database
- Intuitive user interface
Cons
- Might be slow to respond to calls and emails
- A bit pricey
QuickHR is ideal for businesses looking for a senior HR service provider with a secure database. It has been around since 2013, long enough to gain ISO accreditations for its security features!
The payroll software also seamlessly integrates with Quickbooks and Xero. Companies exposed to multiple software said that QuickHR has the smoothest integration features.
We also love how the software simplifies the process that running a payroll takes only three clicks! Moreover, the interface is intuitive with a modern, easy-to-understand design for superior user experience.
However, some issues can still crop up and test QuickHR’s customer support. One user said the company is usually slow in responding to calls and emails, so he resorts to chat support even when it isn’t always efficient.
It’s also a bummer you can’t purchase the payroll module alone. It’s bundled with other HR solutions with rates starting at $5 per employee, which can be pricey for fledgling companies.
