Lessons are specifically catered

“I was a student doing HL IB economics in 2025. Before coming to ELKAY i was consistently scoring scores of 4 and 5, and had gotten a 4 for both my promos and prelims, however, thanks to the personalised teaching style and help that Sally gave even after lesson, as well as the flexible schedule that was catered to my needs, i was able to pull my score up to a 7 for the final IB exam. My nephew was struggling with science classes until his mom signed him up at Smile Tutor, and the difference was obvious within weeks.

I got to see my kid cousin’s tutoring sessions with MindFlex, and it struck me how clear the structure was from the start. The lessons stayed aligned with the MOE syllabus, while covering all the essentials from math to English.

There’s flexibility in the pricing tier, as well, with no agency fees. My aunt was pleased to find a scheme that works both for her son and her wallet, while being assured of options between premium ex-MOE teachers or budget-friendly undergrads (she chose the former).

Since my cousin’s daily schedule was crammed with extracurriculars and special lessons, his flexible tutorial sessions were convenient. He can do 1-on-1 at home, online, or in small groups if he prefers.

The downside is that MindFlex doesn’t hand out free trial lessons. The first class doubles as a litmus test, though; the centre will swap tutors if sparks don’t fly between student and teacher (most tutor matches are arranged within 24 hours).

Moreover, premium tutors come with premium rates, and the quality of teaching can hinge on who you’re paired with.
