Pros

  • Affordable
  • Their menu features a comprehensive list of meals and courses, including different buffet options with varying numbers of dishes served

Cons

  • All buffet menu options can only be availed if you have a minimum of 30 pax on your guest list
  • Buffet menus’ costs are calculated per pax

If you’re looking for an affordable halal catering service in Singapore, we believe that Bayfront got you on that front.

Known for serving scrumptious halal meals, Bayfront’s catering services have long since starred in many functions that were held in formal venues and in intimate get-togethers too.

We had the privilege to try out six courses from one of their buffet menus at a friend’s birthday party, and their stir-fried black pepper sauce fish fillet was honestly to die for.

Now if you’re thinking “Six courses? That’s not enough,” don’t fret just yet because Bayfront actually offers five buffet options.

Buffet Menu 5, in particular, includes 11 courses, and you even can choose your preferred dish for each course as long as they’re listed on the menu options for the said category.

However, it’s important to take note that each buffet option can only be availed if you’re ordering for a minimum of 30 persons.

So while we think the price per pax for each buffet menu is reasonable ($15 to $25 per pax), it would be impractical to order a buffet for 30 people if you have a small guest list.

Pros

  • Over 30 years of experience in the food industry
  • Was an official caterer for prestigious events like the Singapore Formula One Grand Prix
  • Can serve food for all occasions

Cons

  • Buffet cost per pax is relatively pricey
  • Buffet packages are only available once you pay for a specific number of pax

With over 30 years of experience in the food industry, BellyGood has certainly proven itself to be one of the best catering services in Singapore.

In fact, their excellent service earned them the position to be the official caterers for prestigious events such as the Singapore Formula One Grand Prix, Singapore Finetech Festival, International Monetary Fund Convention, and even the Singapore Airshow!

You can expect BellyGood to prepare all sorts of dishes ranging from high-tea nibbles, and party hors d’oeuvres, to hearty and filling meals.

Now, if you’re looking for more specific buffet options for big groups, their website has a tab where you can pick a specific event, say a wedding, and from there, check out their available buffet menus.

For smaller groups, on the other hand, BellyGood has party and bento set options that are perfect for corporate and office settings.

Their bento sets, for one, are a fan favorite at our office during end-of-the-month meetings since the food, besides tasting fresh and delicious, is packed in individual containers that make them easy to munch at.

In terms of pricing, BellyGood charges for their buffet menu per pax, and each buffet menu option is only available if you’re willing to pay for a specific number of persons.

So for big events, you should expect to pay for a minimum of 50 or 80 persons, depending on the buffet package that you picked.

We personally found their pricing per person reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food that you get, but we do admit that for others, it could be a little bit pricey.

3. DeliHub Catering

Pros

  • One of the largest corporate caterers in Singapore
  • Serves an average of over one million guests per year
  • Offers full-service catering, drop-off catering, and live stations

Cons

  • Buffet cost per pax is relatively pricey
  • Some of the dishes served are cold and need to be a little fresh

Delihub’s commitment to providing its clients with efficient food service is one of the main reasons why it’s one of the largest corporate caterers in Singapore.

With an average of one million guests served per year, Delihub is no longer a stranger to the daunting guest list of big corporate, business, and private events in the country.

In fact, we believe that companies specifically hire Delihub for its teams’ expertise to provide hassle-free and seamless food service to a hundred or so people.

Furthermore, one thing that stood out to us the most is that their catering service doesn’t just end with your classic full-service catering but has also other options like drop-off catering and even live stations.

This allows potential customers to truly pick a catering service that best suits their event.

However, some of the dishes they served at a conference that we attended at Sentosa Island were a bit cold, which was a bit of a bummer. Fortunately, the food still tasted good, but it could be fresher.

As for their pricing, we’re glad to see that Delihub doesn’t have a minimum number of pax for their buffet menus.

Delihub will charge you per person on top of other catering fees. And the cost for the complete buffet experience (main course, sides, and a beverage) is, in our opinion, relatively pricey.

4. Liang Food Caterer

Pros

  • Catering services for all occasions
  • The buffet menu cost per pax is relatively affordable

Cons

  • Buffet menu items are exclusively East Asian and Southeast Asian
  • Additional charges may apply depending on your location and venue

If you’re looking for a catering service for a large guest list, Liang Food Caterer might just be the one you’re looking for.

Weddings, home parties, school events, meetings, seminars, and even your baby’s full-month celebration—you can trust this catering service to set up a spread worthy of any occasion.

Their standard buffet menus exclusively feature halal East Asian and Southeast Asian cuisine and are inclusive of four main courses, one seafood or poultry dish, a side, dessert, and a beverage.

You can also throw in additional items from their menu as long as you’re also willing to pay the extra cost.

Now, speaking of the cost, Liang Food Caterer’s price per pax is surprisingly affordable. However, like some catering services mentioned in this list, their buffet menus are set for a minimum of 30, 40, and 50 pax respectively.

Furthermore, while their buffet menu won’t necessarily hurt your wallet, we want you to take note that there are additional fees to account for like buffet setup fees and delivery surcharge for venues without lift access.

Fortunately, Liang Food Caterer is very transparent about the fees that you need to pay, which you can see on their website.

Pros

  • Established since 2004
  • Offers a diverse selection of local and foreign cuisine
  • Sets up food spreads to match events’ themes

Cons

  • Slow to respond to inquiries sent on their website
  • Doesn’t have buffet package prices and the courses covered by buffet packages on its website, needs personal inquiry

Since its establishment in 2004, Shiok Kitchen Catering has been providing its clients with Singapore’s local delights and selections of foreign cuisines.

Committed to serving quality food, Shiok Kitchen Catering’s top chefs are always at the prowl for fresh and high-quality ingredients, which translates to the intricate and scrumptious spreads that they serve to their clients.

Their wedding services, in particular, are in demand not just because of their good food but also for their well-arranged spreads.

Our coworker who was wed in January this year hired Shiok Kitchen Catering for their reception, and the dessert spread alone had us awe-struck.

Since her wedding was garden-themed, the team at Shiok Kitchen Catering incorporated design elements so that the food spread can also mirror the theme.

Beautifying the venue is usually an event consultant’s job, but we were surprised to find out that Shiok Kitchen added a little flare, which in our opinion, made the occasion extra special.

Now, unlike the other catering services mentioned in this list, we’re a bit bummed to share that Shiok Kitchen Catering’s website doesn’t have a price list or even a special tab for the packages you can avail of.

They do, however, have an Enquire Now button for all the special events that they cater.

Our friend wants you to note though that you may have a higher chance of getting a faster response if you message them directly on their hotline.

She initially inquired using their website, but Shiok Kitchen Catering had apparently taken two days to respond there.
