The Best Holistic Health & Wellness Education in Singapore Training Globally Competitive Professionals

Curriculum: Course outlines and syllabi were examined to confirm whether the entries train their students practically and theoretically. Teaching styles, teacher-student ratio, and learning resources mattered too.

Accreditation and Licensing: While holistic health providers aren’t required to obtain accreditations, we still opted for names trusted by relevant bodies, such as the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine and the Complementary Medical Association.

Registries and documents were used to verify that.

Program Variety: Based on syllabi, course outlines, feedback, and interviews, we favoured providers with three or more programs, such as aromatherapy, yoga instruction, etc. Having more courses meant better grades.

Class Flexibility: Scheduling options, such as online, in-person, and evening/weekend classes, were considered, all confirmed via direct queries and feedback from current/past learners.

Pricing: Tuition fees were compared considering the course inclusions, duration, materials, facility access, and support services. Providers offering bundled packages and/or discounts scored higher.

One of my cousins, who’s currently making bank as a wellness coach overseas, once said that the path to becoming a successful holistic health practitioner is tough but doable. “It starts with choosing the right program provider,” he advised.

He broke it down, saying those with internationally recognised courses can give you a solid footing across disciplines related to nutrition, exercise, stress management, and alternative therapies.

Of course, I had to ask for his recs. He gave some, and the team and I whittled it down to the best of the bunch.

You’ll find the results below. They’re especially handy if you want to pursue a career in holistic health, complementary therapies, and other related fields.

The International College of Holistic Health (ICHH) stands out as a structured and accredited institution for those seeking formal training in holistic health. Accredited by VTCT and iTEC, the college offers internationally recognised qualifications that appeal to students who want both credibility and comprehensive education.

Its nutrition curriculum is particularly well-regarded, covering everything from nutrition theories and applications to disease management, wellness food preparation, and counselling skills. Students gain not just theoretical knowledge but also practical experience through hands-on training.

The trainers bring years of clinical and teaching expertise, offering students confidence in their learning journey. By combining Eastern and Western approaches, the college provides a balanced and well-rounded education in holistic health practices.

Flexibility is another major draw, as ICHH offers part-time study options suited for working professionals and those with family commitments. The tuition fees are considered reasonable, especially given the programme’s depth and international recognition.

However, because each intake is intentionally capped to maintain a low student-to-teacher ratio, classes fill up quickly. As a result, interested applicants may need to join a waiting list once the maximum capacity is reached.

Pros

  • Dual-language offering
  • UK-accredited credentials
  • Flexible delivery modules (part-time, online, and in-person hybrid learning)
  • Experienced faculty with specializations
  • 99.9% graduation rate

Cons

  • Limited class capacity
  • Requires commitment (at least 6 months)
  • Higher tuition fees due to longer training hours and international accreditation.

Friendly Staff and Teachers

Convenient to access and close to MRT, friendly staff and teachers.

Gained Valuable Knowledge

I truly loved my experience at ICHH School. The environment is very welcoming, and the learning journey was not only enriching but also inspiring. I gained valuable knowledge, built confidence, and felt supported every step of the way.

I’m grateful for the teachers, classmates, principal, management and the opportunities I encountered here. ICHH School has been a meaningful part of my growth, and I’ll always treasure this experience.

The studio has a calming vibe

“I am a beginner and have been visiting this studio for almost 3 months now and what stands out is the Yoga instructor Reetu who ensures personal attention and encourages you push to your full potential. The class size is about 7 people which allows more focused experience. The other students at the studio are incredibly welcoming and friendly. The studio has a calming vibe plus its centrally located. Highly recommended!.”

If you’re seeking a provider with decades and global cred in their resume, SOHA Institute is a safe bet. Tough to deny that, given their 20-plus years of experience and ITEC recognition.

Students don’t simply read books either. Their curriculum leans on instruction from industry leaders and runs regular workshops for hands-on practice.

They get extra points for program variety. There are 5 main courses: Beauty, Body/Baby Therapy, Sports/Complementary Therapies, Diet/Nutrition, and Eldercare.

Some are even offered through self-paced modules, ideal for busy learners. Rates for this setup start at S$150, with the ITEC-accredited ones typically kicking off at S$2,350.

That said, not every course is available in the format.

The bigger snag lies in admin communication. We’ve met students who didn’t receive essential updates (like regarding module changes) and detailed program breakdowns.

Pros

  • Open for over 20 years
  • ITEC-recognised
  • Self-paced online courses
  • Regular workshops

Cons

  • Inconsistency in providing updates
  • Not every program is self-paced

Clear, Practical

I have been working as a domestic helper in Singapore for over 12 years, and joining SOHA Institute has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my personal growth. The caregiver training provided was clear, practical, and highly professional. The instructors are patient and knowledgeable, and the lessons are structured to suit busy workers like me. Even with a tight schedule, I was able to follow the course at my own pace. What I appreciate most is how SOHA Institute helped me gain confidence and new skills. Now I understand caregiving not just as a task, but as a meaningful profession that requires heart, knowledge, and responsibility. Thank you, SOHA Institute, for supporting workers like me. You are not just teaching — you are changing lives.

Demonstrated Deep Knowledge

I recently completed Holistic Massage Diploma course under the guidance of Mr Khoo, and it has been a truly rewarding experience. Mr Khoo demonstrated deep knowledge, patience, and professionalism in his teaching. His lessons were clear, structured, and easy to follow, which made even the more complex techniques simple to understand. I especially appreciated how he always took the time to explain the theory behind each massage technique, not just the practical steps. Thank you, Mr Khoo, for your dedication and passion in teaching.

Integrated Training Institute is a centre for professionals who want to continue their fitness and allied health practices education. In other words, this one further hones pros, such as personal trainers, physiotherapists, and sports therapists.

Kettlebell training is their flagship course. Completing it means you’ve obtained mastery of biomechanics and injury prevention, with CKC 1 and CKC 2 certificates to boot.

Other than that, you have options in sports medicine, osteopathy, yoga, spinal cupping, dry needling, Muay Thai, and many more.

The catch? Most courses assume a baseline of fitness and therapy experience. That’s a major hit for total rookies.

Workshop fees can add up pretty fast as well. An introductory speech therapy costs S$300.

The bright side is that their instructors are regarded highly. Our interviewees, for instance, praised their approachable and easy-to-follow teaching style.

In addition, they’ve been operating since 2010 and have short-term courses lined up.

Pros

  • Wide range of courses
  • Open since 2010
  • Offers short- and long-term courses
  • Specialises in kettlebell training

Cons

  • Can get pricey
  • Not for beginners

Will Definitely Be Back

Did the 2 day IASTM course with Jab & it was brilliant! He spoke and conducted himself really well, kept the sessions engaging. Took away so much from just 2 days; will definitely be back for more courses in the future.

Traditional and modern therapy-focused programs are what Redefine Healing does best. That means they’re a fab choice if you want a career in hypnotherapy, Reiki, regression therapy, sound healing, and inner child integration therapy.

Everything is hands-on, ensuring the skills and theories you’ll pick can be applied in real-world therapy. The bonus is that you get to experience them first-hand, as classes double as “retreats.”

Pooja and Shirley, the instructors, get stellar reviews from both clients and students as well. The common points mentioned were that they answer questions properly, make classes engaging, show plenty of patience, and keep lessons digestible.

It shouldn’t be a surprise, however, that ReDefine’s niche specialisation is also a drawback, especially for people not planning on working in the fields they target.

Online or self-paced classes are typically not offered either, and most sessions follow a fixed schedule.

Pros

  • Open since 2011
  • Open daily
  • Well-rated teachers
  • Hands-on sessions

Cons

  • Niche focus
  • Fixed schedules

Patiently Guided Me

I’m extremely grateful to have discovered this place through a recommendation. Despite my initial skepticism about how this would work, Pooja patiently guided me on a journey of self-healing—something I would never have pursued otherwise. I had been experiencing a specific type of nightmare for many years, and Pooja helped me confront my deepest fears and begin to heal my deepest wounds. I have returned to her subsequently. Shirley’s sound bath was incredibly relaxing and peaceful. After the session, my chronic backache felt noticeably less painful. I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking healing ❤️‍🩹

Very Centrally Located

Pooja is a fabulous instructor. I did the Silva Life 4 day program with her & seeing her explain concepts so effortlessly with plenty of examples, experience & a good measure of humor thrown in, I decided to do the ultra 2 day program as well. Can’t even do justice to how amazing the programs are. The center is also an aesthetically quite relaxing & a peaceful haven, very centrally located as well! Would recommend highly to everyone. Just do it!

Founded in 2005, ProTherapist Academy (PTA) is a standout option for aspiring massage therapists. All of their courses are ITEC-recognised and taught by qualified trainers.

Speaking of courses, they offer several, namely Swedish Massage, Sports Massage, Postnatal Massage, Infant Massage, MLD, and Hand/Foot Reflexology (these treatments are available at the best local massage spas (massage singapore).

Class times are flexible as well. Online and in-person are offered, and they’re typically scheduled twice a week, with daytime (10 am to 1 pm), afternoon (2 pm to 5 pm), and evening sessions (7 pm to 10 pm).

Another feature we appreciate is their consistently small and manageable class size. The low student-teacher ratio of 1:10 means better support and personalised instruction.

That setup, however, comes with a major disadvantage: Seats can fill up fast.

Variety is a weak point, too, considering their massage-centric curriculum.

On the upside, PTA’s rates are competitive, and they have their own modern training facilities.

Pros

  • Open since 2005
  • Ideal for aspiring massage therapists
  • Has their own training facilities
  • Flexible schedule

Cons

  • Limited to massage courses
  • Slots can get taken quickly

Very Professional

It was indeed a great learning experience at ProTherapist Academy (PTA). I just finished my Swedish massage course. All the massage techniques were taught to us in a very professional manner. For both theory and practice, guidance was provided at every level of learning. The trainer Ms. Cynthia has great knowledge and passion towards teaching. I surely recommend to get your massage course from PTA.

They Have Good Trainers

I have attended Post Natal, Lymphatic and Hand and Foot Reflexology massage in 2023 at ProTherapist Academy. Both trainers, Wati and Kelly, have made the course easy to understand and enjoyable. They shared a lot of their experiences and I gained a lot of knowledge during my course. I strongly recommend the school as they have good trainers with years of experience.
