When my husband and I booked a baby photoshoot at Bambini Photography, we honestly didn’t know what to expect. I’d seen their name pop up a few times among parenting forums and IG, so we figured we’d just give it a shot.

Turned out to be a pretty solid choice. They’ve got more than a decade of experience doing baby shoots, and their newborn studio is fully padded and baby-safe.

What really impressed me was how quickly we got our photos. I thought we’d be waiting two weeks at least, but we received everything within five days. They even arranged free delivery, so we didn’t need to make another trip.

If I had to nitpick, I’d say they’re not the most affordable option. Their basic package already costs $680, which isn’t exactly cheap, especially if you’re keeping an eye on your spending.

Our experience with Bambini has been fantastic

“Our experience with Bambini has been fantastic. In fact this recent shoot is our second photoshoot with them. We booked a slot for baby 6 months onwards+family shoot (family of 4). Although we were slightly late, photographer Mag made us all comfy and she had a way with kids. She was able to capture their attention and is energetic, engaging and fast in responses. We were all having a lot of fun and felt happy and relaxed. From the pre-shoot help from Lydia to after service from Shawna it was all great. There was good personal touch, mag even texted us to thank us for engaging them. The results and quality of photos were all good (as we all had so much fun and the baby and kid were in good form and smiling throughout) and we bought all the soft copies. To top it off they even delivered a surprise complimentary frame n fridge magnet along with the hard copies. Cheers!

White Room Studio is another good choice for baby photoshoots. They’ve been around since 2009 and have picked up quite a bit of recognition over the years, including being named Best Photographer by Tatler Singapore in 2022.

Their photographers are experienced with babies and know how to handle them safely. They can guide your little one into sweet, classic poses like the chins-on-hands one or a pose that includes their older siblings.

One thing that’s quite shiok is that they already include image retouching in their packages, so no need to pay more just to enhance your photos. Plus, they offer plenty of printing options.

Whether you prefer a canvas, an acrylic block, or even a wood print, they’ve got it covered.

However, they do get booked up really fast. Also, take note that they require a full deposit to be made three days before the session.

If you like the idea of whimsical or fairy tale-style shots of your baby, you’ll probably appreciate Mamamiyo Photography. They’ve been around for more than a decade and offer newborn digital background composition shoots.

It’s the kind where your baby gets placed into cute fantasy settings that go beyond the usual props. Think of scenes like floating on a fluffy cloud or snoozing inside a teacup.

They also have a good selection of costumes, including onesies and cartoon-style outfits. If you’re keen to dial up the cute factor, you won’t need to bring your own. All their packages come with complimentary photo retouching, too, which is a nice bonus.

That said, I’m not a fan of the separate $100 booking fee. Also, it’s disappointing that they sometimes miss enquiries.

Lesley and her assistant were so professional and patient throughout and took great effort to placate and draw out smiles from my baby who was sleepy and crying half the time. Lesley even offered to let us give the baby a nap despite the scheduled duration of the photoshoot being 1hr (we ended up taking 2hrs). Thinking of giving Korean-style baby photography a go? Baby U International might be worth checking out. One of their signature offerings is the Doljanchi shoot, which is that traditional Korean first birthday setup.

The good thing is you don’t have to dive into a full package straightaway. They’ve got $99 trial sessions that come with three soft copies, which is decent if you just want to share a few shots with family.

Another promo that I think is worth looking out for is their Group Buy. Basically, if your siblings or friends have babies too, you can all book together for a better rate.

However, there’s a $30 surcharge if you’re booking on weekends or holidays. And unless you’re driving, getting here might be a bit of a hassle since they’re not exactly near any MRT or bus stops.

The sets are so aesthetic and pretty

How to handle my son, make him laugh, what shots to take, what set and clothes to choose etc. Shoot was done in no time and all shots were perfect. Luckily we get to keep all soft copies because I can’t choose any to keep; I want all! Such a positive experience that we have already booked to have 2 more sessions for my son. 🥰”

Even though Lightime Studio only started in 2023, they’ve already done quite a few things right—enough to earn a spot on this list. Their studio in Balestier is a big plus, especially for anxious parents who worry about hygiene.

Their space is coated with AirTumTec’s antimicrobial layer, which helps reduce the risk of kids picking up anything nasty.

What’s also nice is they’re not stingy with the camera. They take unlimited shots, so you’ve got all the time and chances you need to capture that perfect moment.

They also offer a free style consultation before the shoot, which really helps if you’re the kind who panics over outfit planning. They’ll chat through themes, props, and what suits your baby’s personality best.

If there’s one downside, it’s the price. Their packages start upwards of $700, which makes them one of the costlier options on this list.
