The 5 Best Pet Stores in Singapore to Spoil Your Furbabies

✔ Product range that’s actually useful - A good pet store should have more than cute extras. We want a solid mix of food, treats, health basics, toys, grooming items, and practical supplies for different breeds, sizes, and life stages.

✔ Fair pricing and convenient shopping options - We checked whether prices feel reasonable compared with other stores and if they offer promos, bundles, or loyalty perks. Fast delivery, easy online ordering, and reliable stock levels also matter a lot.

✔ Staff who know pets, not just products - We trust a store more when the staff can explain food options, recommend suitable gear, or help first-time pet parents without sounding pushy. Good advice makes a big difference, especially for pets with special needs.

✔ Cleanliness, quality, and overall trustworthiness - Whether it’s a physical shop or an online store, we looked for signs that the products are well-kept, authentic, and not near expiry. A good pet store should feel safe, organised, and genuinely caring toward animals, not just sales-driven.

After paying for the best dog training or adopting a stray sweetheart (or two!), I firmly believe a little furbaby spoiling is only fair. Luckily, the best pet stores in Singapore make that easy with proper food, useful gear, and staff who know their stuff.

When I’m choosing where to shop, I’m looking at variety, prices, delivery speed, and whether the place feels like it caters to real pet parents. So if you’re comparing where to buy daily essentials, grooming bits, or premium snacks, this list can save you the trial and error!

I’d happily put TopDogs Academy high on my shortlist when my puppy needs proper training, daycare, or boarding support. What immediately stands out is that the academy focuses on building well-balanced, confident, and well-mannered dogs rather than offering quick-fix obedience sessions.

Their training approach feels much more structured and practical than many generic pet services. Instead of teaching dogs to simply follow commands, TopDogs Academy emphasizes communication between dogs and owners so good behaviour carries over into everyday situations at home, outdoors, and during social interactions.

I also like that they work with dogs of different breeds, ages, and temperaments. Whether it’s puppy foundation training, behavioural correction for older dogs, or more intensive train-and-board programmes, the services are designed to match each dog’s learning pace and personality.

The puppy foundation training is especially appealing for new dog owners because it focuses on early socialisation, confidence-building, and preventing behavioural issues before they become harder to manage. For owners needing more hands-on support, the train-and-board programmes provide structured daily training with professional handlers in a controlled environment.

Beyond training, TopDogs Academy also offers daycare, boarding, and pet transport services, making it a convenient all-in-one option for busy pet owners. The supervised environment and experienced handlers help create peace of mind, especially for owners who want their dogs cared for in a safe and structured setting.

I also appreciate that the academy prioritizes responsible dog ownership and long-term behavioural development instead of treating dogs like accessories or temporary projects. The environment feels geared toward people who genuinely want to invest in their dog’s wellbeing, discipline, and confidence over time.

The only downside is that some of the more structured programmes may require advance planning due to demand and scheduling. And if you’re looking for a casual, drop-in style pet service rather than a training-focused environment, the academy’s more disciplined approach may feel a little intensive at first.

Pros

  • Grooming and retail in one place
  • Also offers boarding and daycare
  • More practical than a basic pet store
  • Ethical breeding practices

Cons

  • Feels more dog-focused
  • Not ideal for niche pets
  • Only one main location
  • May not be the most budget-friendly option

Grooming was great, with so much attention and love given to him

First time sending my furboy for their grooming service – Grooming was great with so much attention and love given to him, I’d never seen him so happy being groomed before, and he came home looking so adorable.

Tiger is always well taken care of there

Sandra and I always love our experience at Pawsome with the grooming of our dog, Tiger. He looks so handsome after each session. Importantly, the hair around his ears and his nails are trimmed well. Tiger is always well taken care of there, too. Thank you.

I pointed my busy career sister to The Pup Life SG when she needed proper daycare for her pooch while she was stuck at work all day. Her dog requires constant human presence, so leaving him alone for hours wasn’t an option.

She said it feels more like a full dog-care hub than a basic pet shop, with daycare, grooming, boarding, training, puppy services, and pet supplies under one roof. She liked the structured care it offered, instead of just parking dogs and hoping for the best.

They also offer complimentary welfare assessments, certified handlers, clicker-based training, and personalised routines. All of these sounded ideal to my sister, whose dog needs social time with some actual thought behind it.

For frazzled pet parents like her, the big win is convenience. The MacPherson store is open daily, and the setup suits owners who want daycare support, grooming touch-ups, and supplies all under one roof.

That said, for cat parents like me, the shop is decidedly dog-centric. It also leans more towards service-led care than bargain hunting, so shoppers who only want affordable basics may find it a little less shiok.

Pros

  • Strong daycare focus
  • Includes welfare assessments
  • Certified dog handlers
  • Personalised dog routines

Cons

  • Less useful for niche pets
  • May not suit budget shoppers
  • More service-led than retail-led

Would highly recommend this place to anyone

Went back to The Pup Life SG for Naomi’s first grooming session after we brought her home from there recently. We were concerned whether Naomi would cooperate during the grooming session, but all went well. The groomer was patient in suggesting the different styles and handled Naomi with great care. We are happy with how clean and well-groomed she is. They even went the extra mile to take a photo of her with a beautiful backdrop. We’re grateful for their amazing service and professionalism. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a pup or pet grooming services. Thank you, The Pup Life SG, for bringing this little joy into our lives!

Will definitely come back!

Amazing boarding place! The team took great care of Ilio and updated me regularly. Will definitely come back!

For young pet keepers like my nephew, who suddenly realise hamsters and rabbits burn through hay, bedding, and food faster than expected, aPetMart is a blessing. It teaches him how to be a responsible pet owner after the initial delight of having cute creatures to play with.

Their range is useful, with supplies for small animals alongside food, treats, health products, and accessories. He appreciated that it’s not the usual dog-and-cat-centric shop.

His mum and I like how it feels ideal for regular restocking, not just random impulse buys (which the young man is prone to do). They carry 187 brands and more than 3,500 products, sell at wholesale prices, and cover small animals like hamsters, rabbits, chinchillas, and guinea pigs.

aPetMart offers convenient online ordering, with delivery reaching customers within 5 working days. They also have many fast-moving items available for walk-in purchases in Paya Lebar, so my nephew doesn’t need to have a meltdown in case he runs out of pellets.

However, it does feel more like a practical stock-up shop than a boutique pet-care experience with grooming or daycare. It’s convenient for busy stay-at-home customers, but those who like physical browsing might find it lacking.

Pros

  • Strong for hamster, rabbit, and small pet supplies
  • Wide range of small-pet essentials
  • Wholesale-style pricing
  • Good for regular restocks

Cons

  • Less of a boutique experience
  • Not focused on grooming or daycare
  • More practical than pampering-oriented
  • The walk-in range may be smaller

The delivery experience was excellent

Made two online orders for Burgess Excel Parsley Pieces (80 g packs). The day before the scheduled delivery, the seller informed me via WhatsApp to confirm the delivery. On the day of the delivery, the (Seller’s own delivery service) driver called before the delivery. Thereafter, my orders were hand-delivered to me in excellent condition. The delivery experience was excellent, and my orders were received in very satisfactory condition. Also, many thanks to the seller for including a gift (a lollipop made of Apple stick and hay biscuit) with each of my orders for my piggies! Hope they’ll like them. All paws up!

The seller even threw in a freebie for my purchase

Repeat buyer. Fast delivery always. Ordered my last purchase on 12.12 and got it delivered the next day. The seller even threw in a freebie for my purchase. Will definitely purchase during a similar promo.

As a cat mum, Pet Master Mega Store by CatSmart is where I go for premium wet food, and somehow leave with treats, litter, and several unnecessary but correct cat toys. The latter is to bribe my felines to love me for at least a few minutes.

It’s Singapore’s largest pet lifestyle concept store at Parkland Green, with pet supplies for both cats and dogs, plus DIY pet grooming and a water-play area. Honestly, it feels different from the rest because of its sheer scale!

The store spans over 5,000 square feet, carries over 500 brands, and has 25,000 pet essentials. I love that they stock premium names like Brit Care, Kelly & Co’s, GimCat, and Ciao Churu.

It’s convenient for me to get my cats’ treats and regular food without having to hop across different shops and chains. The store is ideal for cat parents who want serious variety, a pet-friendly browse, and a useful East Coast Park stop with online ordering and multiple outlets under the wider Pet Master chain.

Do note that it can feel more mega-store practical than cosy boutique. Indecisive shoppers may end up standing in the aisle comparing ten kinds of litter like it’s a life exam!

Pros

  • Huge mega-store format
  • Strong premium cat selection
  • DIY grooming available
  • Pet-friendly East Coast shop

Cons

  • Can feel overwhelming
  • Premium buys add up fast
  • Less boutique in feel
  • More dog-and-cat-focused

A nice place to shop for pet supply

First time dropping by Pet Master after visiting East Coast Park. My pup enjoys tagging along, too. A nice place to shop for pet supplies. The staff were friendly and helpful in assisting us. My pup accidentally peed on the floor, and they helped to clean it up. Will definitely be back again to shop for pet stuff.

The service was top-notch, and the team was very professional

Had a great experience with Petmaster Singapore! The service was top-notch, and the team was very professional. A special shout-out to Boss Roger — super friendly, approachable, and clearly cares about customer satisfaction. Highly recommended!

My bestie swears by Polypet for her exotic fish setup. She’s reached that stage where one wrong purchase can cause full tank drama, so she’s not taking any chances on smaller neighbourhood fish stores.

Polypet is a long-running Sunset Way shop with supplies for fish, birds, small animals, cats, and dogs. The range feels properly practical instead of just cute.

She loves that the store doesn’t treat fish like an afterthought tucked behind the dog biscuits and kitty litter. It’s been around since 2004, and has been stocking brands like Hikari, Mazuri, Ocean Free, and Tetra for collectors like her who need more than the bare fish bowl minimum.

Another big plus for her is how they suit serious restocking without making the entire experience feel atas for no reason. They position themselves as affordable, offer islandwide delivery, and suit pet owners who need specialised fish supplies alongside regular essentials for the rest of the household zoo.

That said, those who want super-niche aquascaping gear or a more luxe, fish-only experience may still need a speciality fish store offering boutique-type hand-holding.

Pros

  • Strong for exotic fish supplies
  • Useful multi-pet product mix
  • Islandwide delivery
  • Good for regular restocks

Cons

  • Less boutique in feel
  • Not fish-only focused
  • More practical than premium

Polypet is one of my favourite go-to stores to get supplies for my dog

Polypet is one of my favourite go-to stores to get supplies for my dog. They have a good variety of good stuff, including food, treats, health supplements and others. Bought the ROCKS liver supplements and food; delivery is very reliable and prompt. Highly recommend Polypets to any pet owners who wish to shop in their physical store or online.

Very convenient and easy to shop

Been buying from Polypet Online for years. Very convenient and easy to shop. Delivery usually takes 3-4 days. Packaging was ok and no issues. However, many times it’s just left at the door, not sure if they even tried to knock/check anyone’s home.
