Autelier Makeup is one of the most highly sought-after MUAs for weddings, and I can see why. Their portfolio is impressive—boasting a wide array of looks, from simple to bold and vivid—and their projects include both local and overseas weddings!

But weddings aren’t the only events they do. They’ve also done makeup for solemnization, corporate photoshoots and conferences, and personal styling.

Clients love how accommodating the MUAs here are. One shared that she had sensitive skin, and her MUA let her use her own skincare, and the MUA was also able to adapt to the client’s skin texture right on the spot. 

Autelier Makeup offers trial sessions, which is great news. The MUAs would do one style of makeup on each side of the face, so you can choose which one you like best!

The only downside to this place is the prices; they’re pretty steep. Their wedding packages start at S$700, and even their personal styling costs S$230! I think they’re worth it, but you definitely have to save up for their services.

VictoriaHan Studio is an ideal choice for people hosting weddings, engagement parties, bridal showers, or commercial photoshoots. Unfortunately, it’s not great for people who just want to look their best for less formal occasions because the rates here are expensive. 

Still, this is a great makeup studio to check out. Clients commend the versatility of the MUAs. Whether you want Korean-style makeup or an elegant Chinese-inspired look, the MUAs can bring your vision to life. 

The main MUA, Victoria herself, gets a lot of praise. Clients told me that they could tell how skilled she is from the way she took one look at them and already knew what to do. She’s also updated with the latest trends, which is a bonus. 

She’ll try her best to give professional suggestions, but if you don’t agree with them, she won’t push against your wishes. At the end of the day, she listens to what her clients want. 

I also really like that this studio offers introductory classes on makeup and hairstyling. These are perfect for casual students who want to make themselves look pretty every day.

If you’re looking for a fantastic wedding MUA, then look no further than Makeup Maestro!

The main reason this is a great option is the affordable pricing. Sure, there are bundles with expensive rates, but they still have some affordable options (between S$500 and S$980). Plus, you don’t get any surcharges for early hours, which is wonderful news! 

Clients also love the MUAs here. They’re personable and have a calming presence, so the session doesn’t feel hectic. Plus, they’re considerate; even though they have their own way of doing things, they still will go with your preferences. 

Most MUAs incorporate their trial sessions into the service packages, but Makeup Maestro lets you book an a la carte trial. That said, this costs S$400 on its own, but this fee can be used to offset the bridal package if you decide to go with them.

Even though weddings are their speciality, Makeup Maestro can also do makeup for other events like commercial photoshoots or personal makeovers. They also offer workshops if you want to learn more about how to do makeup.

Personal, reliable, and thoughtful 

“Valda is someone that isn’t just amazing at hair and makeup but someone that makes you feel really good on your big day! She’s very personal, reliable and thoughtful. She also let me try several different looks at the trial. I’m not someone that wears heavy makeup often and don’t really like the traditional bridal makeup. She made sure what she did for me was something I was comfortable with but still pushed me to try things that make the look better. She really takes into consideration your preferences and styles – she even got the exact shades of makeup I love and put it in my touch up kit! She explains the reasons for why she does certain things and still gives you freedom to make the final decision, I did not feel pressured at all. I was still quite unsure about my final decision but even on the actual day, she still gave me room for adjustments. She’s a very calm presence and genuinely cares! The first thing I like about Dear Muse Makeup and Hairstyling is its convenient location. It’s right opposite Clarke Quay, with an MRT station and several bus stops nearby. 

I like their lineup of services as well. They mainly do weddings, but they can also do TV commercials, corporate headshots, social media campaigns, and editorial or fashion shoots. 

Another great thing about Dear Muse is that they have partners—from photographers to gown boutiques to wedding planners and more! Because of this, wedding planning becomes more streamlined. 

The rates here are reasonable. All packages already include skin preparation, skin conditioning ampoule, and the like, so you just have to pick the bundle with the perks you like. 

Though I find their service pricing reasonable, the same thing can’t be said for their surcharges. Their early morning surcharge ranges between S$50 and S$180, and there are also transport fees.

I hear some of the MUAs have a bit of an attitude as well and aren’t responsive. The lack of communication can send some of the clients panicking, but everything still turned out great for them, so in the end, they were still satisfied with the service.
